I ordered my sister two hanging flowering baskets as a gift fo my sister who has Alzheimers and cannot go to a garden centre to purchase flowers for her garden this year., Since she wasn''t able to go to the garden centre I went on line and spent 4 days researching when I finally discovered TERRA Greenhouse in Vaughan. I ordered her two stunning hanging baskiets that were perfect and I was so pleased. I didn't oversee a problem as there wasn't a sold out notifiation on the photo so I proceeded to order two. I received an email next day saying that they have confirmed my order, will prepare and it will be delivered to her shortly. No mention that it wasn't going to be what I ordered. Delivery was $75.00 on top of the cost of the two flowering baskets. When they arrived I was so disappointed. The two planters weren't even close to what was in the picture that I ordered. The colour scheme was completely different. It looked like they took whatever scraps of plants they had leftover, put them in the planters and delivered it. They didn't even notifify me of the change. They could have emailed me and said that the baskets I ordered were unavailable (even thought it didn't say sold out) and sent me a photo of what they created to get my approval before sending it as a gift to my sister. I thought what arrrived was so cheap looking and not up to the standards that Terra Greenhouse is all about and would definitely not have approved it. I emailed them and have not heard a response from them hoping that they could correct their error and send my sister the stunning baskets that I ordered or something very close to it. Another day, another garden centre as a willing hostage for my sweetheart! It seems I've (we've) been on a country tour of these venues for the past few months. Another city, another eye appealing experience. Lots of helpful staff, most which are students. Thanks to Dave for his advice in finding a perfect Begonia plant. There's a huge indoor and outdoor product selection including plant flats. Plenty of parking. It was worth the drive to this greenhouse operation. read more

I'll be honest. I'm trying to make the best of my experience here but I honestly think that this business is just overwhelmed with how to handle business during this pandemic. We ordered two plants for online pick up and were told that it was a simple curbside procedure. Simple... So we drive into Vaughan and get to the greenhouse and it felt like waiting in line to get into a downtown club on a friday night. There were dozens upon dozens of people waiting to get in and dozens of people leaving the premises. Social distancing was hard to impose and I don't blame the staff for being overwhelmed. I suppose this is what happens when the sun shines and people are making the best of the weather to get some gardening going. It's ok, we're safe in the car so its been good so far. So we're in the parking lot and we're looking for the signs for curbside pick ups, which have no instructions. After a few minutes, we asked one of the workers there who was standing outside and were told to pull up to a numbered lot and call the store. Cool... The store lets us know that it will be a couple of minutes before someone brings the order out. 5 mins... 10 mins... nearly 15 mins have gone by when a staff member walks up to the car with one of the two plants. Due to high demand or whatever reason we were told that they had to sell our plant that we ordered to another customer (most places put the order aside). Not the best thing to hear after driving nearly 40 mins and waiting another 30, just to be told our order is not going to be complete. As I mentioned earlier, the business just seemed to be overwhelmed by customers that particular day. Perhaps the service would've been different on a weekday or a rainy day, who knows. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and I will come back again once things are normalized again. read more

This place has everything from patio furniture to apple trees. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My go to place for my front and back garden. All of the plants there are very healthy! They have a massive selection of different colours and types of flowers. They even have a nice variety of vegetables. They even sell some of the hottest peppers in the world such as the Carolina Reaper and the Ghost Pepper! The quality of everything is remarkable! The only things that I didn't like was how the vegetables were unorganized and the price of the decor and patio furniture. read more

Save your money! I bought 3 flats of Vinca annuals there in pink they are low quality and small. Thankfully they had no white ones which I found at Sheridan nursery, same money as Terra sells for but these are HUGE and beautiful quality!! The staff at Terra are not knowledgeable and you are lucky to find someone to help you. If you are smart you will drive the extra mile to go to Sheridan nursery and at least get primo flowers. read more

My go to place whenever my thumb turns green. Great seasonal prices and their end of season sales are legendary. They stand behind their plants with warranties, just ensure you keep your receipts for the warranty period. Not as massive as the one in Milton, but it's got most of what you need. One single time I decided to make a purchase in this garden center. Found what I need at the cash desk. And here I was waiting for disappointment. You can only pay with a credit or debit card. Canadian dollars are not accepted. Simple explanation we are struggling with the spread of covid 19. Excellent. Only all employees of this center go without masks and without special gloves. One can see how much they struggle with Covid 19. I will never buy anything there again. read more

Arrived nice and early for Boxing Day in May sale. It was a but anti climatic as they advertised surprise door crashers which i didn't really see. I did get 3 rhododendrons for $50 which is a good price. I grabbed a few annuals as well. They were fairly busy which is great...I love greenhouses and this time of the year as it's very colourful and everyone is excited about planting. The carts are all big and bulky which does make it a bit awkward to move around. I ended up parking mine here and there so i could wander freely and peruse the plants. They also had a very nice Japanese maple for $70 and they were going quickly. The service was really good.... There were a lot of people to answer questions and they moved people through the cash registers quickly and there was assistance to get your items packed into your car. I also liked that they had boxes for the smaller plants and they have plastic sheeting to protect your seats or trunk. Very thoughtful. read more

Cutomer service is horrible. There was no one around to help and when my grandma asked the cashier for help, she was very dry and not helpful at all. I could tell she was getting annoyed. The employees definitely need to step up their game, there's no need to be rude. read more
