If you like long wait periods, wrong material used, inaccurate measurements, another long wait period to re-do everything - go for it.

3.5 rounding down to 3…read more I accompanied my daughter here on her quest to replenish her hand sanitizer supply and check out their current offerings. It was a Saturday afternoon, so I braced myself for the trip. The staff who greeted us at the entrance was great. I needed a washroom and wasn't sure which one was closest. She cheerily directed me with perfect details, i.e. beside the Starbucks at the corner of the food court, on the left in the food court aisle. When I returned, she asked if I needed a basket. As anticipated, the store was crowded. What made it worse was that carts loaded with stock were in the tight aisles you need to pass to get to the checkouts. I don't expect the shoppers with their strollers there to care about blocking them, or at least I'm not totally surprised by that, but staff should do better. I found that the majority of the decor/miscellaneous seasonal merchandise looked dollar store quality. Only their core items, e.g. the metal candle holders, looked better quality. I was impressed with the actual sinks in the store, complete with mirrors and tissues. I assume they're operational so that you can clean off what you've been sampling. My daughter took advantage of their 6 for $12 hand sanitizer deal. She wasn't able to find a particular scent, but a staff went and found one for her. She picked up a tube of hand lotion as well and we proceeded to the registers to pay. Because she was paying cash, we were sent to the only dedicated checkout for that method of payment. She was asked for her email address, and she declined. This cashier would not let it rest. Was she on their system before? No. Was she aware she can opt out of marketing emails? This cashier was refusing to be aware that she wasn't interested in giving them her email address. I find that pushiness extremely disrespectful. So does my daughter. Why do you figure we might prefer to use cash in the first place? You can have my money if I want your product. Insisting on personal information in addition is enough to take my business elsewhere. Overall, more good staff than bad. Meh value for the money for a lot of products, but a nice selection for gift giving.

Great products at this place, best times to shop are around the holiday for some real good promotions. Their candles and sanitizers are amazing, best scent for a candle is caramel and pumpkin spice!

Not being a handyman, pro or contractor I usually need help and would appreciate someone to answer questions, guide me and point me towards the product I need to buy. Finding help at Lowe's is like finding care for the planet at a convoy mob blockade. Seriously, do these chains know how much more money they would make if they had help for their would-be customers? A lack of employees is par for the course. Canadian Tire is not any better. What makes Lowe's worse is the zombie cashiers. I am not sure if they punp sleeping gas through the employee dining room or hire numb undead as cashiers as a matter of policy, but my most recent experience reminded me of my last six or so month ago: cashier with no energy who cannot move a limb, staring vacuously at an indeterminant point in space that therefore needs prompting to lift the scanner let alone say complicated verbosity like 'hello' or 'thank-you.' To boot, there is a lack of selection at Lowe's. They do not offer customers choice. They have typically one brand/size of everything. I am upgrading. Canadian Tire I am coming! I recommend Lowe's to two groups only: Secret shoppers and Labour Management professors. The former would throw in the towel and break down, while the latter would find enough material for a book just in one trip.
