I received a shellac manicure from Anna on Monday May 15 and by Wednesday May 17 at night my thumb and pinky were swollen at the cuticles. I emailed them Thursday morning to notify them of my infection and I got a phone call about half an hour later. They apologized and asked me to come back for them to take a look and offered a refund for the service and cover any medical expenses. My thumb was oozing puss by Thursday May 18 night. I was prescribed antibiotics by my doctor, who was very shocked I came in with TWO infected fingers and even said in his 40 years of practice he's never seen someone come in with more than one infected finger from a nail salon. I posted in a Facebook group Brampton Moms about my experience and warned everyone & that was when the salon's owner got in touch with me because the salon's regulars were also in the group and brought my post to her attention. She emailed me and apologized & I informed her I will be stopping by the next day (Friday May 19) for them to take a look at my fingers and get a refund. While I appreciate how quick they called and emailed me to solve the issue since I first emailed them, I would've appreciated it way more had the owner been more professional and showed up and apologized in person. She was well aware that her salon is at fault as she told me over the phone that Anna did not sanitize the tools properly and Anna did not think that not doing so would cause such an infection. I made time out of my day to come back to give them a chance to resolve the issue and I felt like they didn't really respect my time. No nail tech or anyone in a management position bothered to acknowledge me or inspect my infection either (only the receptionist quickly looked at my infected nails). I stood by the front desk speaking on the phone with the owner for a few minutes, got my refund from the receptionist and left. After I left, I noticed that the owner replied to my earlier email and asked me to come at xyz time because that's when she is at the salon? As a business owner if a client/customer gets sick or hurt in your establishment you should meet up with the client based on their time, not the other way around, especially if you claim to feel very bad for the client's poor experience. In addition to asking me to meet at her convenience and not addressing or apologizing for this matter in person, she also asked me to keep this on the down-low when I spoke to her over the phone which I find incredibly strange that she is asking this but couldn't even respect me enough to make time out of her schedule to meet me LOL I feel very torn writing this review because they did try to solve the issue but they don't realize that the little things matter. Something as simple as sanitizing the tools would've prevented this entire situation - I was about half an hour early for my appointment too so not sure why Anna did not clean the tools properly before servicing me. & also apologizing and addressing the issue in person would've made their apology seem more genuine. My infections are very painful and it is very uncomfortable and feels so unsanitary trying to care for my 2 years old and 6 month old. Currently, a week and a day from my appointment (May 23), my fingers look less gross but still red and swollen and painful to touch. Obviously I've heard a lot of people having good experiences here so come at your own discretion. My only hope is that they implement a protocol for every nail tech there to sterilize their tools after EVERY client (and ENSURE that this is being followed) so no one, especially those who are elderly, pregnant, diabetic or immuno-compromised gets a nasty infection like me because it can be even more dangerous for them. & if such an unfortunate event does occur again, I hope management has the respect and decency to address the incident in person with the infected client.

Their gift card system never seems to work properly, and instead of finding a solution or making it easier for the customer, the staff make it feel like an inconvenience. Very affordable Toronto florist and they created a beautiful and dreamy bouquet and bridesmaids bouquets based on some pictures I showed them. They also gave me a freebie. My centrepieces with the a set of three glass cylinders, floating candles, and floating flowers was so gorgeous and created the perfect look and ambience for my reception and at $50 a table. This was by far the most affordable and best looking set I came across. I'm super happy and have no reservation recommending them to everyone. Great customer service too. Love!

CHARACTER- Having vendors who were patient and easy to work with were of high priority when my fiance and I were planning our wedding. Yena and Inoong were so sweet and patient with me as I went back and forth on flower colors and centerpiece ideas. They were a vendor I loved to visit, as they always greeted me with bright smiles :D 2. BUDGET- I was originally a little nervous to tell them my modest budget, but when I did, Yena and Inoong gave no air of judgement nor did they attempt to persuade me to bump up my budget. Instead, they worked hard and creatively with me to stretch my budget and still create the same effect I had envisioned. I was so thrilled with what they came up with and am convinced that no other florist would have been able to make something so beautiful with such a modest budget. 3. QUALITY- I loved my wedding bouquet so much, I have requested that my husband purchase the exact same one for our one year anniversary. I think my photographer took more pictures of the flowers than they did of me! They were THAT stunning :) And the floral crown that Yena put together was just perfect, I felt like a bohemian princess :) 4. CREATIVITY- The theme of my wedding was "The Hills are Alive with the Sound of African Drums (ft Audrey Hepburn)"... To be able to translate THAT kind of a theme into the perfect bouquets and floral decor for me MUST require a heavy dose of creativity and a keen understanding of the client's personality/vision! 5. PROFESSIONAL- Yena and Inoong were more on the ball about getting flowers ordered and samples and being punctual to arrive on the wedding day etc etc than I was. As expected, the flowers arrived on time and in perfect condition. I've been recommending them to all my engaged friends and have full faith that they will not disappoint you!
