I have used them for over 10 years but a recent experience made me cancel all services with them. I received a voice message that they were coming out to do an inspection. They never said what type so I assumed it was my regular pest service. The technician was outside my house for about 10 minutes. Usually I get an email and text telling they are done along with the report. This time nothing. So I called and asked for the report to be emailed to me. When my husband and I read the report we were surprised to see notations that we had unexplained noises in our walls and attic especially at night and animal droppings in closets and cupboards. This man NEVER came into our house and we have cats so if we had mice etc. we would know. Please do not use them. The technician just filed a report and made up whatever he wanted. I should add that when I called back asking why this report was so incorrect I was told first he probably just hit the wrong keys. Seriously? Then was told someone from the company would contact me. That didn't happen. Oh and I still need to pay the bill for the 10 minute exterior inspection. read more

This company has been nothing but awful. We called them for an ant problem. Their recommended treatment was a plan for a year where they have treatment in the ground. We were not given any other options. We figured they were a national company so we went with it. Wish we hadn't. They could've just treated the ants and that was all, even though they didn't say it. In June, our credit card on file expired. We called and got the new card added to the file. Every month since then, we've gotten a bill because they can't charge our card. This was the worst experience we have ever had with any "professional" big widespread company. From the beginning to the very end! The initial rep came inspected gave us a quote for termite and bat removal. He took with him a voided check to start our monthly plan on auto pay. We get a call from rep M saying we fell past due, the rep said J had never input the payment method. A manager called A. S. and said that the voided check is sitting in front of him and everything will be taken care of. We received a bill for full amount when it was supposed to be 12 months monthly payments. We receive an email saying auto pay is up and running for a lesser amount per month. I call the manager A.S back and request a call back, theres something wrong because the monthly amount and doesn't match amount on contract not knowing if he had giving us a better deal due to all of bad experience INCLUDING no call no show termite guy. The manager never called me back so now it's been going on 2 months and showing past due because this company does not have communication skills, all customer service reps (5) of them didn't know what was going on. I have requested a regional manager to contact me, nothing. I emailed the initial rep J also no response. When the termite rep came 3 days later after the no call no show he specializes in bed bugs not termites. Laid termite traps but refused to spray underneath the stairs where we were told to clear for them to spray. The guy leaves then calls 1.5 hours later comes back to spray with a handheld can and I had to tell gentleman where to spray. So....moving forward thinking it's a manager calling me but it was another rep telling me we are still delinquent and no payment has been received. I spoke to a Retention Team and sent and she sent me an invoice email for the final bill IN FULL and it wasn't even the correct amount we just spoke about 10 minutes prior....Trying to cancel the subscription is also a hassle and this all due to Terminix and their terrible business. We paid over 2100.00 in full for the bat removal so money or making payments were not the issue. We also were going to have Terminix come back and clean the attic where the bats used the bathroom quote was $8000.00 and we were okay with that until all of the miscommunication, billing issues, no manager returns calls even after requesting it 4x. We will never go through Terminix again and I will be sure after spending over $3600.00 other hard working people don't have the same cruddy experience we did by adding reviews on as many sites as I possibly can along side many many other terrible experiences with very similar issues including no call no shows, no return calls and billing issues. I took off 3 days of work to be here when it should have been 1 day. I would not even give a 1 star but there were no negative options on this review! This is out of Cincinnati Oh and I did not use names only initials but I have all names and identification numbers dates and times noted for reference. My husband scheduled an appt while I was out of town and I wanted to check out other providers In the area, as well, before making a decision. We are leaving a company where the last technician told us he was previously in prison (we have a young child and won't take chances). Anyway, my husband had to call and cancel and he got transferred and then put on hold for a couple minutes before the call failed. Before the call failed it had taken 7 minutes as the picture indicates. Pretty clear why we wouldn't go with this company... 7 minutes for something they could have just said, " we will take care of it" and hang up. Our information popped up., the system called him by name so Why didn't the first person take ownership of the call. When we started the call we were likely to ONLY reschedule. Now, there is NO WAY we will even consider this company solely based on poor service. Do better! OMG!!! AFTER ALL THAT THEY DIdnt even CANCEL THE APPT AND WASted A TECHNICIANS TIME... God awful. Paid for a full year, did not want the service agreement, but after having sign for the work they did on a blank ipad for what I thought was authorizing payment but hooked me into signing an agreement. Paid something like $1500 dollars for a years worth and guess what. You don't own the traps, you rent them. Go to close the account and then they charge me a $94 early termination fee. Such an unscrupulous organization. Be wary and don't sign a blank ipad. The worst business practices I have encountered in quite some time. Really awful read more

Do not use terminix. I never write reviews but they were the worst people i have had to deal with regarding home services. They got rid of birds in the attic, but they didn't clean up completley after the service and bits of the nest were still there. A hole that needed patching was left unpatches and we still heard noises in the attic so we called them back. They told us there was nothing there, patched the hole they forgot, then left. For a couple of months we still heard the noise and ended up calling Orkin. They did a thorough inspection and showed us there were bat droppings, along with carpet beetles that were missed in the inspection by Terminix. We are having to spend more money on top of what we already paid to fix the mistakes. On top of that, when I tried to get in touch with management it is impossible. I called customer service 4 times, them agreeing I should get a refund, then saying the district manager will reach out. They never did. Instead when I called the 4th time the customer service agent stated that her notes said the district manager said we wouldn't be getting a refund. However, the manager never bothered to reach out to me on the phone. You can't get passt just customer service either, no other management is available to talk to. The place is locked up tight and I am sure for reasons like this. Leaving a customer in the dark about a $600 refund and poor service is absolutely unacceptable. I do understand the "no guarantee" and "no warranty" but there was literally nothing done to fix the real problem. Bat droppings were missed, carpet beetles were missed, major issues were missed. BUYER BEWARE - I deleted my original post because I was hopeful Terminix would make right their damage. After a month of back and forth, the problem is still not resolved. Here's a summary. -I signed up for Terminix service in January 2019. I was concerned about a back door rotting and wanted to make sure it wasn't termites. The sales rep came by and verified no termites but sold me on preventive services, which I purchased -when the tech came for one of the quarterly visits, he asked if he could spray my front door. I said as long as you don't damage it, it's fine. He assured me the chemicals would not harm it -I really like the tech. He seemed like a good guy. I trusted him. He would text he was coming buy and I would text back great. -shortly after the first application I noticed a white film on my door. I didn't think anything of it. Believing the "experts" knew what they were doing. -After a few visits the film became worse as he sprayed my door more and more. -I didn't want to remove the film because I believed it was supposed to be there. Why remove what I'm paying for I thought? After all he assured me it wouldn't damage my door. -I decided to cancel Terminix in February 2020 because we were getting our kitchen remodeled and wanted to save money -My plans were to clean off the door this spring. -in April I tried to clean off my door. The solution Terminix sprayed would not come off -I called the tech and asked him how to remove it. He said to try soap and water; if that does not work to try a gooo remover. He said is that doesn't work, ask for a manager to come out. Before I hung up the phone, I said, "surely this has happened before?" He said he knows of one other time and a customer was upset. They tried to remove it. They only could remove 98%, so Terminix painted the door. [I don't want my door painted, we paid extra to have it stained] -I had a manger came out. They seemed like they wanted to help. -I became frustrated because the manager told me the tech said I didn't care about the white film and said I didn't want to file a claim, which is absolutely untrue. -Terminix called their suppliers and believed they found the problem. They told me they had a product that would remove it. -They came our 2 times and cleaned my door and though it's better, it's not like it was before they sprayed my door. -we paid just under $3k for our door. We wanted a stained look so paid to have the factory stain our door for an even look and long lasting finish. -Hiring Terminix was a big mistake. Their negligence ruined my front door. I don't feel theymaking this right is a priority for them. I feel it's important for all my neighbors to know what you will get with this office. I'm sure there are other companies you should consider so you don't have the same horrible experience I did with the Terminix on Donaldson Road in Erlanger KY. **5/23/2020 - after contacting the Director of the Ohio Valley he took action and think it's being resolved. Too bad the local office didn't take my problem seriously. Hopefully, they will invest in training their manager on dealing with problems because I am completely underwhelmed with my experience. ***5/24/2020 -Social support - I appreciate your offer to help. However, we did this before with my original post three weeks ago. You generously offered to help and I reached out to you. And you had the same manager call me and tell me they will be back out and I must understand it's his busy season. He never apologized for what his staff did to my door. He then didn't return two of my texts, which were not rude. Poor customer service through the call center. First off they had our address wrong in the system even though we verified twice with them Thursday the 25th and Friday the 26th. When they didn't show up as promised on the 26th we called again to set a new time for the next day which was today the 27th. Again, no call as promised until we called them and then, they wanted to reschedule AGAIN for later in the week. I am not even sure if the local Terminix office knows we needed service so if anybody at Terminix reads this, you might want to handle customer needs a different way. You are losing business. I wish I would have read yelp reviews prior to ever working with this office, could have saved myself $5000. For 2 years we have had no problem with our quarterly pest control, even happy with the progress at our home. Our mistake, agreeing to let them reinsulate our attic and to caulk our outside to stop pests from coming in. On the day of service 6/3 one of the technicians fell through our ceiling. This I saw as an honest mistake and gave no fault to the man or the company. On 6/4 the job was left incomplete and we paid in full. We have since contacted them on 6/6, 6/11, 6/18, 6/25, 6/30, 7/2, 7/5, 7/10, 7/17, 7/19, 7/20, and 7/21, each time they have no record of previous conversations and previous promises made. Our job is still incomplete. We have been "escalated" to the branch manager Elliott walker countless, I mean countless times. I wrote a letter to corporate. Such an embarrassment. I am now asking for my money back and to cancel our future commitments with them. I will not hold my breath, they probably won't return that call either! read more

First of all, I am a senior citizen & have been a customer for 20 years & moved to ky, was told "just give them the address & they will take care of the rest." I called on July 15th to give new address & make appt for a spray & service in my empty house before moving in. Called the 17th to confirm, my appt for the 22nd of July 8-noon. I drove 5 hours to ky just for this appt...NO SHOW, NO CALL. I drove 5 hrs back. After several calls everyday for 30-40 mins at a time hung up on & lied to, to see what happened, no one knew anything, I was moving on saturday the 25th, finally talked to a supervisor that assured me a tech would be there after 1, we pulled in at 11am & waited & waited & called & called to make sure someone was coming. was told they were coming between 4-7. Even after 7, called until 10 pm & was still told the rep James Webb was still coming. Couldn't unpack or unload trailer or trucks til they got there & guess what after a dozen calls all day long NO SHOW!!! Still had to go to Ohio to get the last load, so was forced to unload into a house with cock roaches, spiders, mice & various other bugs. They have made this the most stressful move & have cost us so much more money than we anticipated with their NON SERVICE!!!! Worst customer service EVER, FALSE advertisement, LIE after LIE. I have an appt with orkin for a free quote on service with them, it wouldn't take much for them to be better than terminix. After 20 years I am DONE. I found a swarm of termites at my house on April 24th and made an appointment for a treatment first thing in the morning on the 25th. Nobody showed up. Made another appointment, nobody showed up again. This happened a total of 6 times, but in the meantime they had no problem charging my card for the treatment. After the 6th no-show, I finally fired them and asked for my money back. They told me they needed to come dig out the stations (left by the previous homeowners) before they could issue a (prorated?!?) refund. I scheduled a time for them to come out and do that, they didn't show up again. Then I got a call asking if I was satisfied with the termite treatment I had received. I've now called back twice more demanding my money back only to be transferred from person to person before my call is mysteriously dropped. 5 weeks from my initial phone call and I'm still trying to get my money back. The day I fired Terminix I called Snowball Pest Control and they were done with the treatment 48 hours later. Terminix, at least this location, is mindbogglingly bad at what they do. read more

Absolutely terrible service. My boyfriend and I descovered bed bugs in our apartment. No one is on the same page in this building. Someone over the phone told us it would be no more than 300 $ however when we got the actual estimates they were 800$. When we finally made an appointment we both took off work. We had to do a weeks work of prepping work and had to put all of our belongings in plastic bags for their service. Just for them to jot show up. They were supposed to come between 3 and 5. At 445 we hadn't heard anything. When we called they said that there was a confirmed appointment but they had no idea who it was that was supposed to be treating our place. She then transfered us to a manager where we were put on hold for 20 minutes with no answer. We never even heard anything back or had anyone show up at our place.. there is no communication at this place and they are extremely rude. Do not use the erlanger location! I received a flyer in the mail for Terminix Mosquito treatment for $59.00 per application with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. The application would be applied once a month but you could call as many times as you needed in between and you would not be charged. NOT! They applied the first time ($59.00) & I called them to come back two weeks later (understandable) but they could not get back out to my house until 4 days (too busy). So I was just under 3 weeks when they came out for a re-do and they charged $59.00 me again saying that was my 2nd-month application (mind you I am 3 weeks into this). The DAY AFTER the re-do application, we were on the back patio swatting mosquitoes like flies at a picnic & I was bitten 4 times in less than 15 minutes. I called them to cancel the service and they said they would NOT refund my money and that I needed to "read the fine print" of the contract. I explained I did not have a contract and they said when I called to sign up, that was a contract. I went all the way up to the regional manager and they said that is the way the program works - and no refund! DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. I am out $118.00 & still have mosquitoes galore! We were in a pickle. A birthday party was planned for Sunday, Oct. 8 for our one year old grand nephew. Many of us came from across the country to celebrate this little guy's birthday. And at least 30 more people, including small children, were coming as well. When we arrived at the house late Friday afternoon we gasped. Swarming all around the front porch were many, many wasps! And this little guy came out of the front door with his mom to greet us, wearing the sweetest smile on his face. I don't believe his mother was fully aware of the dangerous situation at hand and had been treating the area with a wasp spray. Based on the sheer number of wasps that were buzzing around, this definitely wasn't working. I am highly allergic to these wasps having been attacked a few times and knew the potential consequences if these wasps were disturbed. And with so many people coming to the party - this was a real probability. On Saturday morning a desperate call was made to Terminex in Erlanger. My daughter, a nurse explained the situation to David Young at Terminex who took the call. He made a Herculean effort to find someone to treat the property. Within one hour Michael Smyth showed up and worked for hours to methodically eradicate the nests that were around the property. He did a fantastic job and was most professional! The price that David quoted on the phone prior to the servicing was the actual price that was charged. We cannot thank these two men enough for what they did to prevent this celebration from turning into a serious life threatening situation for the many attendees. Thank you David and Michael! I've used Terminix's quarterly maintenance service to keep the bugs and spiders out for three years now and both the customer service and my regular 'maintenance guy' William have been great. With the annual maintenance plan it's also nice to be able to call William to schedule a free additional treatment. I typically do this when the carpenter bees and wasps come back each summer and it really helps keep them at bay for the season. read more

We pay a few hundred dollars for service, he came out and told us the prob would be resolved in 2 wks. I videotaped the swarms in front, back and side of our house and sent it to him. To avoid coming back a second time, he told me he's been in this business 22 yrs and he has a really hard time believing we still have swarms. I told him I could send him another video or call someone else and he said he was our technician and to go thru him but he never came back and we still have 2 swarms in front and back of our house. He talked down to me like I was making it up when I videotaped hundreds of bugs swarming and sent it to him. DOUBLE HATED IT Terrible! This is so ridiculous! My mother and Step-father have bought a house in Ludlow Ky (sale final, finally last month). In order to close on the house they had to have a recent termite inspection. We called Terminix and they promptly did the inspection, concluding that we needed treatment at $800 - check up front. We were then advised by the previous owner that the house had already passed inspection and decided to have a second inspection preformed, to which there was no evidence at all that we needed treatment, not even trace evidence -- the house passed inspection. My mother then called Terminix, canceled the treatment and requested her check be sent back. Here we are a month later! They cashed the check and have said 4 different times that they have mailed a reimbursement to her. Each time a different excuse as to why she has not received it.
