So the company was called yesterday and we said there is 'something' in the fireplace. They came…read moreout... looked... and said 'yep- it's a squirrel' They put a trap in the fireplace and said call us when he goes in it. That will be $200.00...(a little more, but I rounded down) Okay... later the same day the squirrel jumps down off the flute (to get the food) triggers the trap and closes it. He's still enclosed in the fireplace but not in the trap. So when we called the company back... they said... "if we come back that will be an extra cost.... so reach in and reset the trap...." Okay... this morning I propped the door open, blocked off the house by flipping over the furniture opened the fireplace doors and started bangin on stuff to get it out..... I succeeded! I'm disappointed in the 'service'.... I feel the price was very expensive for the effort presented. Based on this... (assuming this is their standard practice) you can do better (price and service wise). Hell.. I'll help you now.

I have used this place twice. Never again…read more The first time, it was because a team installing windows heard something in the wall and said that we needed to deal with it before they could continue. Wildlife Control sent out Martin (a person they since have admitted to firing, but whose work they never corrected or truly apologized for). He put up a one-way door, didn't really tell us what kind of animal it was or how to know if it had left, and didn't respond to our follow up calls. Fast forward a year. I know something has come back to live in approximately the same spot (after all, Martin did nothing to prevent this), and I've seen a squirrel climbing under the gutter. There's also a family of birds living in the space above an old air conditioner, too high for me to address. Heaven knows why, but I called Wildlife Control again. They sent someone out the next day, which is appreciated, and started work the day following- but they never truly addressed Martin's incompetence, other than to use inappropriate language about him. Additionally, they tried to collect all payment up front until I called the office and arranged to pay half until completion. Johnny, the person in charge of the job, made a lewd comment about me when I said something about my wife (something about lesbian fantasies). When I told the office, they said they'd talk to him about it but also made the excuse that "he's a country boy" (he was closer to middle aged and should have known better). I was gone for the weekend while they finished the job and called the office to verify some of the details and confirm the second payment- I didn't feel that Johnny had done what he described. It's been more than a month. No one from their office has returned my call. They did charge my credit card, though. In short, look for a different pest control company.
