    Chicken & Beef teriyaki

I have been delivering Uber Eats from here many times, finally decided to have lunch here. Outstanding food and service, highly recommended.

Teriyaki Chicken and Gyoza! Extra sauce !
    Kristen B.

Delicious! Stopped in around 230pm on a Monday and ordered Chicken Teriyaki with Gyoza! So yummy ! The potsticker sauce was so flavorful and the chicken perfectly cooked ! Salad was refreshing and not like the other Mayo salads other teriyaki joints have! The only suggestion is get a side or Teriyaki sauce! I ordered a extra sauce and it was as perfect to cover my rice but if I hadn't I would of been a tad sad.. New favorite Teriyaki Joint Seattle !

Website with prices that are DOUBLED at pickup!
    Suzie K.

Called in an order for 2 chicken and gyoza combos. Menu on website says $8.99 each. Arrived to pick up and cashier said $35 and change. I said, no I only ordered two $8.99 combos. Cashier was rude and argumentative saying prices have increased (DOUBLE??!!) to $16.99 and they "COULDN'T" update their website. I understand a dollar or two increase before you get your website updated, but not double. Food was okay, not outstanding and after the fact I am left feeling utterly taken advantage of. Will never eat there again. Absolutely shameful behavior from a restaurant!!

    Spicy Chicken Yakisoba

Got the spicy chicken yakisoba, and it was such a tasty meal! The chicken was cooked well and had a delicious sweet teriyaki taste. The dish was quite spicy, and they didn't hold back on the sriracha, which I personally loved but would caution for those who are spice sensitive. Because the dish was already bursting with flavor, I didn't need to add any extra sauces, which really made this dish over the top. Love it, and definitely would get again

Food was OK...nothing special. Tons of rice. Cabbage slaw was a simple vinegar dressing...not sophisticated or anything.

The bacon wrapped mochi was a tasty treat that we ended up ordering multiple of. The scallops were delicious and so was the eel and mackerel. I cannot wait to return to the restaurant. I also truly enjoyed the yuzu margarita. After waiting in line for the ice cream out front. The window closed abruptly and without any communication to the line of at least 15 people patiently waiting. Very strange and rude. Not sure it's worth waiting 30 min for ice cream to then have the line close without any notice.

My favorite spot to sit at is at one of the high tables for two on the left side of the dining room. We like to sit more towards the back so it's a bit more quiet. My hubs and I like coming here for happy hour and getting two orders of Zangi (fried chicken), two orders of the Pork Chashu Bao, and two orders of the sashimi special (which comes from their connected restaurant Secret Fort). We also like to get the iced green tea for two which comes in a big, beautiful bottle and you can see the leaves floating in it. Thanks for this rec, Gina! The environment is really comfortable and feels surprisingly intimate given the high ceilings and large footprint. Servers were busy but very kind and followed through on each request, regularly stopping by to refill water and check on us (but not to an annoying extent). We ordered only from the happy hour menu because they had a ton of good sounding options there. The yakiton came first and was really greasy and black peppery. The yakitori meat was smaller than the chicken skewers I've gotten at Southeast Asian restaurants in the Seattle area, but these ones had a softer texture like teriyaki chicken. The kalbi beef was inconsistent. One of our plates had large pieces, while the other plate was full of small pieces. The smaller kalbi was drier. The bigger kalbi was chewier. I'd stick to ordering kalbi from Korean restaurants where the meat is more tender and easier to eat. The best item we ordered was the crispy chicken wings. They really were crispy - nothing like I've had before in terms of crispiness. Next time I would try the JFC to compare. Something that I didn't like was that they put both orders of the wings on the same plate instead of splitting them up. They split up the kalbi plates, but nothing else. It was ok to combine the skewers because they're so tiny, but the wings were almost falling off the plate they were on and very close to being a bad jenga situation with how they were placed.

Tempura and miso was run off the mill, some nigri knocked it out of the ballpark such as toro, while other cuts were again standard. The uni looked darker than anything I've seen before and tasted, shall we say, a bit dry and potent. The rolls were okay, one better; the other had a bit of a fishy sub-aroma and was half left-over. Service was lackluster; the guy was a bit spaced out. The miso soup was forgotten, so was another order of sashimi. Also, we re-ordered some fatty tuna nigri but got served something horrible (like a piece of old, lean tuna instead) - here my spider sense was ringing as if we were intentially slipped some other cut ("they wont know the difference"). Or our server or the chef was slipping. Lackluster service and some fishyness gets a 3 star rating - could have been better and fresher. Not likely to return. Ambiance was middle of the road, neither loading ramp nor dark and cozy. They only have tables and counter seating, no booths. Of note, there is a bar across the street where they made a couple of nice after dinner cocktails - the better part of the evening.
