This place is a hidden GEM! It's not a chain restaurant, so you can easily miss it if you aren't looking. Better run, run, run here now that you know about it though!! THE FOOD: 10/10 Teriyaki Chicken Plate and Fried Rice - WOW! The sauce coating the teriyaki was the touch of perfection on my tastebuds! This plate is the reason why the restaurant is called Teriyaki Chicken (in my honest opinion because it is a GOLD dish!). The fried rice also wasn't burnt and each rice added flavor to my teriyaki chicken. 3/10 Stir-Fried Broccoli - On the other hand, this broccoli was crunchy and hard to chew. The sauce seasoned on top of the broccoli created this sour sensation on my tastebuds. It wasn't pleasant and I couldn't finish the side. 8/10 Tonkotsu Ramen - Delicious and the broth was straight to the point. Perfect for your throat on a cold day! 10/10 HOT Edamame - Hot as in temperature-wise. The salt definitely added the need electrolyte kick that I needed after running a 5k in the morning! Not busy on a Monday afternoon. Great ambience and lighting! Large parking lot shared with CVS Pharmacy and other businesses. This is a hidden gem in Sugarland!

    Pork katsu bento box

I enjoyed a filling, tasty pork katsu bento box here on a Friday evening. For around $16, the bento box came with crispy pork katsu, curry, rice, potato salad, shrimp tempura, fried veggies, and California rolls. There was a generous amount of crunchy, breaded pork katsu, which was deliciously paired with curry and rice. The California rolls were a hit also, with plenty of imitation crab meat. The restaurant itself is located in a strip mall in Sugarland with plenty of parking, and the restaurant itself looks newly renovated. Service was prompt despite a busy evening. Overall, I would recommend this place looking for a tasty meal in the area.

So happy we found this place, it's quick and healthy, price is very reasonable, quality of food is fantastic! We got the teriyaki salmon plate and teriyaki salmon bento , the size of the salmon is filling, salmon is well marinated and seasoned; the sides that come with the orders are delicious as well. Miso soup is great, I love there's plenty of mini tofu and seaweed in there, not just the broth. Service is okay, but there's only one server here on a Sunday night. She looked a little overwhelmed. Ambiance is calming and comfortable, way more comfortable than a usual teriyaki place.

We were shopping at First Colony Mall and came by for a late lunch. My husband was happy with his salmon bento box. Please note that they do not serve miso soup and a salad with it. The salmon was tender, and the tempura shrimp was hand breaded and the most tender I've ever had. The Korean seafood pancake was a little doughy for me, so I will try something else the next visit.

A super cute, quick and local venue with lots of tasty options and wonderful service. Love that they have local art hanging up inside. We enjoyed the chicken curry and shrimp curry. Egg rolls were also delicious and came out piping hot! I'm sure we'll be back.

I got the spicy chicken teriyaki and my husband got the katsu curry. The spicy chicken delivered just enough spice for me without being overly spicy. It was good and the portion size was just right. I'm not sure I would ever crave this but I do like that they put a slight Korean spin to Japanese food. The Katsu curry was your standard Japanese curry. Overall, food is good especially if you are craving some teriyaki.

Very good flavor and nice portion. Teriyaki shrimp fried rice with vegetables. Temperature of the food was excellent. Even the children where enjoying their food. I found good egg rolls cooked to profession. I was seated immediately. Family owned atmosphere, with trended decor. Small bar area and the ambiance was cozy.

The food was fresh and delicious! Nice chill atmosphere, with good music and ambience.

My favorites were the bulgogi gimbap, eggroll (tiny rolled egg omelette), and chicken wings! They come out super hot - loved them all. The hot buffet bar was not filled at all, some were even just empty. I found it disappointing that we didn't get to try a lot of their items. The hot buffet bar was really scarce, I mean, just fried dumplings and fries but they were refilled really slow and some never had refills. The boba bar was empty and never filled. The DIY ramen station was closed off. I tipped only because I felt like I had to, but the service was abysmal. I would come back but maybe for lunch instead of dinner. Hopefully service improves.

So disappointing. When we got home, we saw that one of our bbq dishes was missing. We called the restaurant and they said they were unable to credit the missing order. Instead, they took down our contact info and told us they would give us the dish next time we came into the restaurant. We do not have high hopes that will happen. Management may want to consider staff training as the restaurant was not busy and service was lacking which is a shame because the food is actually good. But it is very difficult to consider coming back even with my prepaid unfulfilled order waiting for me.

That said, the consistency of both service and food quality between visits can be noticeable. Service can be very slow at times, even when the restaurant isn't particularly busy. We've had issues with banchan not being brought out, grills not being turned on, and fish orders taking nearly an hour to arrive. Food quality can also be hit or miss. For example, the Cheese Crab Puffs have occasionally arrived completely cold with barely any crispiness or color, and we've had similar issues with other appetizers. My favorites are the Garlic Salmon Sashimi, Black Angus Marinated Short Rib, Wagyu Beef Belly, Black Angus Rib Finger, and Thick Cut Pork Belly. I also enjoy the Takoyaki, Crispy Tuna Rice, and Tteokbokki. There are a few dishes I would skip, including the Spicy Scallop Sashimi and Nigiri unless you enjoy very small scallops, the Baked Green Mussels, which are overly sweet, and the Prime Beef Brisket, which I've found to be tough and dry. Overall, there are plenty of dishes I genuinely enjoy here, but the inconsistency keeps this from being a place I can wholeheartedly recommend. When everything is executed well, it's a great meal, but you never quite know what kind of experience you're going to get. That being said, I tend to get good ones the majority of the time.

When you pickup your food, the sit down area is dark, and there isn't much of a waiting area. It looks to be run by two folks, the cook and the cashier. It is probably best to order over the app, as the one cashier is busy packing the food in the fancy packaging and dealing with the money transactions. Since it is only two people, it can be slow to get your food when it is busy. I waited an additional 20 mins from the projected time it was suppose to be done. As for the food, the miso ramen was packed in this fancy box. The box contained the soup separated from the noodles with a few side dishes. I believe this is the only vegi ramen they offer. It is nothing special. The broth is basically miso soup with soy sauce. (2 out of 5) The cold sesame noodles was better. It had more flavor. (4 out of 5) The Salt & Pepper Chicken was good (4.5 out of 5). I couldn't help eating it while in the car, as it smelled so good. The Braised Pork over rice was decent. It was cut up thick pork belly, braised in an Asian brown sauce. The flavoring was a little one sided. (3 out of 5). I have passed by their restaurant many times, but it never occurred to me to go in until one day I was surprised to see them ranked in the top 100 ramen places nationally on Yelp! With less than 300 reviews, I was skeptical at first but was intrigued to give it a try, and I'm so glad that I did! I visited on a Friday afternoon right before New Year's and was greeted warmly by the staff inside. As I was indecisive on what to order in the ramen section, I asked the staff for suggestions. She was kind to walk me through the menu without rushing to get an order, and she mentioned that their most popular item is actually the beef noodles. That was all I needed to make a decision to try the beef noodles. While waiting for the food, I chatted with the staff and learned that the restaurant opened right before the pandemic then shifted their model to take-out only as the pandemic begin. Since then, they've tried to make use of their restaurant space to return to dine-in but it has been difficult to find reliable workers. In the interest of keeping the quality consistent and customers happy, they've decided to make sacrifices to keep the business model as is for take-out only instead of scaling up with additional staff, which is such a shame given the rent in the area is not cheap and they have such a beautiful space! When you hear "take-out only", I know what you're thinking, BUT I promise you this is the best takeout food you will ever have! The packaging is very well-designed to keep the flavors and ingredients at its finest! As I mentioned, I ordered the beef noodles, and typically noodle dishes are not ideal for takeout, but Asia Blue separates the soup from the noodles so that the noodles are not soggy, and even after half hour, the soup stayed warm and flavorful. The noodles also came paired with many mini side dishes as palate cleansers, which were a nice surprise. From my conversation with the staff, I've also learned that this is one of the rare places that truly make their broth fresh from premium ingredients! You can be sure that it's MSG free and packed with healthy nutrients, and that's a quality that you can taste. I highly recommend this place for your next ramen adventure, and I certainly will be returning again very soon to try the other menu items. :)
