Ramen
Nikita P.

I eat here pretty often and it's been consistent every time. The ramen is really good, I guess best ramen in Sugar Land for me. The broth has a lot of flavor, noodles are cooked right, and the pork is always tender. It comes out hot and filling. I've also had the burrito a few times and it's solid. Always fresh fish, good balance of rice and toppings, and it doesn't fall apart halfway through. Poke bowls have been good too with decent portions. Staff is friendly, food comes out fast, and the place is always clean when I'm there. This is one of the spots I keep coming back to

Dynamite Bowl
Lynn L.

Stopped by to pick up lunch and ordered at the counter. I got the dynamite bowl. The menu has lots of options from poke bowls, ramen, sushi burritos, sushi donuts, even korean fried chicken! The service was fine, nothing to complain about. The decor inside was cute. The order was completed within 15 minutes. Once I got to back to work, the tempura shrimp looked interesting, like it was coated in a crunchy coating other than panko. The poke was alright, the veggies and spicy tuna was ok. Overall I think for the price, I might have expected more. I am partial to other places that focus on one main entree.

I think these guys have the best lunch special in sugarland! A poke bowl, appetizer, and a drink for $18 is awesome! I chose the fresh salmon bowl - 5/5 it was really good, the fish was fresh, very good seasoning on everything, and good amount of food Fries - 5/5 wow! The fries have got to be the best thing here! Extremely crispy and packed with flavor Thai tea - 2/5 I was slightly disappointed since it tasted watered down. Really good customer service! The ambience of the restaurant was clean. Plenty of parking Highly recommend for lunch

Angry Zuko - Spicy
Roy R.

Had the Angry Zuko - spicy. Amazing flavor; for me could have more heat. But got told I can ask for some on the side and add it to where I want it. My first visit and plan on returning!

Thoroughly enjoyed my time here! I must admit that I was intrigued by the idea of a sushi "donut" so I had to try it! They were really accomodating and let me try one that had both spicy tuna and salmon. They're good about special requests. It's really not enough food for an actual dish though, so you will need to order something else. I ordered the brussel sprouts. They were delicious, however, a bit heavy on the sauce. If I order this in the future, I will order it lightly sauced. They have a "secret" menu that you can inquire about as well. One unique thing is that they also have a cooked chicken bowl, which is something you don't see very often at poke places! Loved the ambiance and the vibe of the place as well. Its super colorful and vibrant. The staff is really friendly and there were only a few people there so it was very quiet. They have outdoor seating that is next to the water, so I can't wait to go back when it gets a little warmer outside! A unique place that is a must try if you like poke/ramen!

The person who took the order was a bit rude and unwelcoming. Then when the food came out I was shocked how little fish there was for an 18 bucks poke bowl. I just came back from NY and realized how crappy our portions are here just to cut cost while they were so generous with very little price difference.

Sushi Pizza
Jessica P.

How cute and creative is this place! A sushi pizza and it was yummy. I am looking forward to going back to try it again. They have all kinds of creative things on their menu to try.

The food was amazing , I got some Tokyo fried and some wings to go with it , and my buddy got some ramen. The food was actually super good and the service was amazing with very nice people. I also got my food almost as soon as we sat down. Definitely will be coming back!

Super Poke
Ema P.

My goodness. HOW tasty. So yummy! I was lazy and wanted seafood but didn't want to leave the house. So... door dash it was. I ordered the Super Poke: Fresh tuna, salmon, spicy tuna, crab salad, lettuce, beets, carrots, cabbage, cucumber; avocado, edamame, seaweed salad, eel sauce, spicy mayo, pickled ginger. And the Spicy Tuna Nachos: Spicy tuna, avocado, wonton nacho, eel sauce, spicy mayo, green onions. Both were incredibly flavorful. Suuuuuuper filling. Just delicious. The fish was EXTREMELY fresh and the ingredients all were placed well and mixed excellently together. I could only eat the nachos first for an early lunch... and then I ate the Poke bowl at night for dinner. The ONLY con is that the nachos were so weak I couldn't really kick up a good scoop of everything and ended up eating with a fork.

My first time eating Tonkatsu ramen.

This was my very first time eating ramen. I chose the tonkatsu ramen. The chashu was so tender and delicious. It added another layer of flavor to the rich broth. I look forward to eating more ramen in the future.

"Creative" & "service" were terms I read in many reviews but I would say "wonderfully creative" & "exceptionally great service". Spicy Sushi Tuna Donut, sushi Corndog, spicy Korean wings. The sushi donut was cool looking and basically a normal sushi roll in a circle. Falls apart after 1st bite. But every bite is delicious so it works. Sushi Corndog was a full 11/10 beyond my highest expectations and hopes. Wow. Soooo much crab. More than expected. Flavor bomb in every bite. Spicy Korean Wings were fine. But was a little stuffed by then. They were also super breaded and it has an almost beer batter that is probably great without sauce but it was a bit soggy. Flavors great tho. Super chill vibes. Love the patio.

This place opened my eyes to so many new sushi concepts, and the service was top notch! Since it was my first time there, I relied on some recommendations from the staff in customizing my orders, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the crabmeat donut, custom burrito roll, and a sushi burger paired with Tokyo fries. All the items were a flavor burst in my mouth! Everything was crisp and fresh. The items were also served swiftly and with the utmost care. The place overall was also very clean and vibrant. There is outdoor seating available with a lakefront view, which I would definitely recommend on a good weather day with a sunset watch. I look forward to returning in the near future to try their other secret menu items, like sushi pizza, sushi corn dog, etc. :)

Super Poke Bowl
Mariah M.

Great service, cozy and clean restaurant and the best portions in the area! Love that they do happy hour deals and the ingredients always taste fresh. You can build your own bowl but it ends up being a little pricey, so I always get the super poke and just make adjustments. I wish you could do this in the door dash app as I order delivery for lunch when I'm at work, but they don't allow for additional instructions and the selections are set up a little strange (max number of things you can remove, etc).

I get it - it's right after the holidays so staffing could be short. The server we had wasn't exactly enthusiastic, just did the bare minimum. Dishes piled up and we weren't asked about refills. You'd figure because there was only 1 group that the service would be attentive, but nope! The food that we ordered from the kitchen were all super fresh and delicious. My favorites were the bulgogi gimbap, eggroll (tiny rolled egg omelette), and chicken wings! They come out super hot - loved them all. The hot buffet bar was not filled at all, some were even just empty. I found it disappointing that we didn't get to try a lot of their items. The hot buffet bar was really scarce, I mean, just fried dumplings and fries but they were refilled really slow and some never had refills. The boba bar was empty and never filled. The DIY ramen station was closed off. I tipped only because I felt like I had to, but the service was abysmal. I would come back but maybe for lunch instead of dinner. Hopefully service improves.

The owner and Nathan were amazing! Inside is really cute and and great for bigger groups.

When you pickup your food, the sit down area is dark, and there isn't much of a waiting area. It looks to be run by two folks, the cook and the cashier. It is probably best to order over the app, as the one cashier is busy packing the food in the fancy packaging and dealing with the money transactions. Since it is only two people, it can be slow to get your food when it is busy. I waited an additional 20 mins from the projected time it was suppose to be done. As for the food, the miso ramen was packed in this fancy box. The box contained the soup separated from the noodles with a few side dishes. I believe this is the only vegi ramen they offer. It is nothing special. The broth is basically miso soup with soy sauce. (2 out of 5) The cold sesame noodles was better. It had more flavor. (4 out of 5) The Salt & Pepper Chicken was good (4.5 out of 5). I couldn't help eating it while in the car, as it smelled so good. The Braised Pork over rice was decent. It was cut up thick pork belly, braised in an Asian brown sauce. The flavoring was a little one sided. (3 out of 5). I'm giving this place an overall 3 stars because the food isn't something to rave about. Packaging and presentation were great, but tastes was more important to me.

It's also has some good vegetarian options. First impression when you walk into this place...it's not your typical Chinese restaurant. My family and I ordered five dish. Since we have one strict vegetarian (no fish) and others who eat meat, I'm going to break them down into a Veg and non-Veg group. Vegetarian - Stir Fried String Beans (5 stars) This is a simple dish, string beans stirred fried in a delicous sauce. - General Tso's Tofu (5 stars) When I think of General Tso's, I usually think of big battered fried chucks of a protein, instead this was your fried tofu (no batter from what I can tell) mixed with a spicy General Tso's sauce. General Tso's at other places in the area were a lot sweeter than this....and I liked the level of spice in this one. - Assorted Vegetables (5 stars) A simple classic healthy Chinese dish. Mixed vegetables in a white sauce. Non-Vegetarian - Salt and Pepper Fish (4 stars) Presentation of this dish looked nice. Pile high of fried fish with garlic, fried onions, green onions and other herbs. Although, it lacked a little flavor. You have to eat the fish with all the other stuff to get some flavor. If it had some more salt and pepper (either jalapenos or white peppers), this would had been a lot better dish. - Mango Chicken (5 stars) Surprising a very good dish. I expected a chicken dish with some mangos, and what we got was soft sliced chicken mixed with chunks of mangos, bell peppers and carrots, in a brown sauce. This was simply delicous dish. Overall, a great place to visit if you are in the area.
