I live in Los Angeles and looked up the closest floral shop to my sister-in-law in who lives in Maywood NJ to send her flowers for a sudden passing of her dog. My order ended up with Teri's by accident, and I'm very glad that it did. I had placed a birthday order through Teleflora--one of the only (to my knowledge) "broker" sites that allows you to CHOOSE your florist. I had chosen another local place that always delivered good flowers, as described, without issue. Presumably due to the snow storm, my chosen florist was unable to deliver the flowers (or closed) and, as indicated on Teleflora's site when choosing your florist, another was chosen. It appears they chose Teri's. The flowers are BEAUTIFUL. And not only that, but they were kind enough to call and confirm delivery time before actually bringing them so there would be no concern about them being left out in the cold/weather complications from the storm/etc. I think that was both responsible and kind. The staff I spoke with on the phone to confirm delivery was okay at the suggested time was very, very kind and pleasant. I received flowers yesterday for my Wedding Anniversary from my husband. The flowers were nice, but nothing he would normally order. When he came home he was very disappointed with the arrangement. Then asked about the balloons, I had never received balloons. Never do we complain, but with it being a special occasion, and the amount of money he spent, he called the company he ordered from. He explained the arrangement I received was smaller in size, flowers were already turning in color, ends falling as they had been left out for a while or left over flowers, there were a lot of baby roses and no balloons. Immediately, they took care of us and called Teri's to make this right. Teri's called me and said the driver was coming to pick up my current arrangement and they would create a new one and return tomorrow. The company just called my husband and apologized over and over that Teri's will NOT accept these as a return and make a new one. (The company also agreed that this arrangement was not acceptable- photos were sent to them.) So at this point, they took the flowers and refuse to bring them back or create a new arrangement. So the company issued a refund to my husband. I've never been so disappointed in a company as I am in Teri's. It's a local florist that I will NEVER use again. Honestly, they don't even deserve 1 star, but it was the only way to leave a review. This was a special occasion, they absolutely knew it was my anniversary and refused to return the terrible arrangement or create a new one. Just such bad customer service. I ordered from one of those flower websites for Mother's Day. In the photo, the arrangement looks gorgeous. In reality, what you get never looks like what you see. It's a very difficult thing to do. I was informed that they cannot deliver before 12pm at the earliest because that is when their delivery truck gets in. After placing an order for same day delivery as advertised, the owner called my home, berating me for expressing disappointment that they were unable to deliver same day. I was told 230pm was After hours and that if I really ,"cared about my family member" I should have called earlier and that I was free to go elsewhere, even after I agreed to have next day delivery with her employee on a previously received call from the florist itself. This woman proceeded to scream and yell incoherently after I agreed to get a refund! Nina helped us find the perfect flowers for our wedding ceremony & reception - all WELL within our price range. This shop is so affordable. As a young couple overwhelmed by the task of planning a wedding, we felt blessed that Nina offered us wise advice, was transparent about cost, and eased our minds throughout the entire process. On my wedding day, the flowers just seemed to magically appear. Flower girls had adorable flower crowns, my mom was already wearing her corsage, my dad looked dapper with his boutonnière, and my bridal bouquet was so precious I was in tears at the mere sight of it. And now, my mom ordered a dozen roses (3 pink, 3 yellow, 3 red, 3 white) for my husband and mine anniversary. She wanted delivery in morning. It was early afternoon and no delivery so she called to see if something happened. About 1 1/2 later, delivery came. But arrangement had only 11 roses. My mom paid over $50 for this!!!! And when she called, Nina the owner was nasty, yelling, had a million excuses, didn't give my mom a chance to talk.. she was totally unprofessional! Not a good experience with this florist on two different occasions. I was the recipient of flowers for a funeral. The first time the flowers were not delivered the day they were supposed to be because the driver could not find the house despite the fact that I gave them the correct address earlier that day. I have yet to receive flowers that were paid for same day delivery and it has been 3 days. The second time the flowers were left on our door step with no cellophane which left the flowers covered with ants. Can't even bring these flowers inside the house. Next time I or anyone I know orders from any flower website we will make sure it doesn't come from this florist. read more
