"A picture is worth a thousand words", but not at Allendale Florist. My order included a picture of one of the Florist's premade arrangements from their fridge. I asked for a similar arrangement with a change in the colors. My arrangements did not look like the picture. I was extremely disappointed and do not plan to return. In my experience, this florist is inconsistent: Sometimes the arrangements are beautiful, and sometimes disappointing. read more

I went into the store on a whim last week and spoke to Stephanie about center pieces for my son's college graduation party. Disappointed with my bouquet for mother's day. They were dead by day 4 just not what I would expect from them.

Please try to support our small local businesses, especially as they get impacted by the current virus. I would especially like to thank ALLENDALE FLORIST. When Highlands junior prom (originally scheduled for tomorrow nite) was cancelled, they were stuck with hundreds of flowers ordered for the corsages. They graciously moved all orders to the rescheduled June date, without any charge to the customers. In fact, when I stopped in to cancel our order, they were incredibly friendly and even sent me home with one of the corsages which they had already made up. This is why it's important to use them rather than large commercial 800# florists... I doubt their response would have been the same! read more

Negatives: I placed an order this past mothers day for a bouquet of a nice colorful flower arrangement. When I got home to see the gift I got my mother there was an arrangement much smaller than expected. The height probably wasn't even a foot tall. When I called to make a complaint they told me that their wholesaler doubled prices for tulips for mothers day and that there was some extra fee in the total for a handling or package fee along with the delivery fee. I won't even tell you the total because I am embarrassed at how much I paid for this. I was very displeased. Positive: delivery was on time read more

I am very unhappy. I ordered flowers on line at AVASFLOWERS for an April 4th birthday to be delivered on April 3rd or 4th. We called on the 4th and no flowers were delivered, we called Avas and they said the delivery date has been changed to April 7th (3 days later). We asked to cancel the order and get a refund, they said no! We pointed out that their written delivery policy on the internet says we can get a refund under these circumstances and they still said no. Not a very honorable way to do business read more

I usually call in for flower orders because the people I send flowers to tend to have certain likes/dislikes but when I saw the floral arrangements in the website (and the yelp review and pictures), I took a gamble and just ordered the jewel tone arrangement since it looks like all the bouquets were very beautiful with interesting fillers. My mom in law sent me pictures and the flowers were just as beautiful as described (full arrangement and high end flowers!). WOW! I called in the afternoon with the hopes of ordering a bouquet of balloons for my 2 nephews who were both sick.
