I am a fan of this place, I always eat down in the bar and the wait staff down there is fantastic. I enjoy the margaritas after a long day on the water, but the food I find just to be solid not great. My last trip in I had the carnitas and it was just not much meat for $12.99, however I will be back, the service is so quick and the Dos Equis so good! read more

Not the best, not the worst. If you're in the Kimberling City area and looking for food that isn't burgers, pizza, or bbq.. chances are you'll end up at Tequila's. Lots of space and they can accommodate large crowds. Fajitas are great. Ground beef tacos are very bland, not spicy, great for kids. Located in a convenient strip mall by the Walmart. The other reviewers who gave this place many stars must have been drinking tequilas! It's a hole in the wall. There were 5 of us, including teenage boys, and no one liked their food. We are pretty sure the ground beef was not beef at all. Weird taste & a powdery texture. Truly expected to get sick but didn't. Salsa is brought out in a carafe with individual small bowls, which was a nice way for us not to double dip. Guacamole was pretty tasty too. Service was fast. read more

Nice food! A couple tamales and rice and beans. They didn't skimp on the rice and beans and the tamales were reasonable. While you might not go miles out of your way, if you're passing by this is quite an acceptable place to have your meal. First off, this place was somewhat expensive. Tequila's had authentic Hispanic music, authentic Spanish employees and authentic, delicious food! Restroom looked and smelled great! This business is not Ruth's Chris Steak House and my rating was based on the food quality/flavor and the value paid for the service. Stopped in late on a Thursday, before Memorial Day Weekend. Everyone was "starving". We consider our family to be part Mexican because half our food intake is awesome Mexican food like the food and service we got at Tequila's! Left a huge tip and they earned every bit of it. The prices they charged were very reasonable. We do Table Rock often and so far this is our favorite. Highly recommend the Carnitas and Beef Fajitas - both meals were excellent; decent flavored salsa too. We just moved to Branson West and we have been going to another Mexican Restaurant in town and decided to try out Tequila's and we're glad w did. The entire staff was overly nice, I have a 1 year old who likes to say thank you over and over and every employee responded to him and didn't walk by our table without a welcoming smile. I read some other reviews on here and some people complained about the service, I feel like they had to have been at a different location or have it confused because everyone here exceeded my expectation of good service, they were excellent. The food was just as amazing, full of flavor, fresh and fast. We had our food in about 10 mins on a Saturday evening. This will be our new go to for sure. read more

The service made the experience. My wife and I walked in and were immediately greeted and seated. Within 30 seconds we had chips and salsa on the table. Our waiter, Luis was nothing short of phenomenal. Within 2 minutes, we had drinks and queso and instantly felt comfortable and at ease. I didn't have time to finish my beer before Luis came out with our food which was amazing! I had a chimichanga and my wife had a quesadilla. Would order again in a heartbeat and would go back faster than the service we received. Next time you go - ask for Luis!! read more

It is off the main strip. The journey here was well worth it. I loved the fajita. It was tasty. The grilled shrimp is good. The chicken tacos are tasty. The steak was good. I have had a very long day and more travel to come so to go sit down for lunch and have a con call and everyone be so nice to you is much appreciated. They were quick and friendly. The food was great. It was just what I needed. Then they even got me an extension cord yo charge my phone and computer while I was working so I was charged for the road. I am so thankful for such a great experience as it really did help my stressful day. Also they got me a to go drink for the road. You have no idea how much their kindness means to me. Excellent food and pleasant staff. It is REAL Mexican food unlike Chevy's in St Charles that's nothing more than some big chain outfit you can find anywhere. Being originally from St Charles/Ofallon areas, moving here has been great with many restaurants to enjoy that are NOT the typical run of the mill chain outfits, although there are those here too. The Tequila's staff/family have done a fantastic job and added a second restaurant in Branson. They've worked hard to "grow" their business and build a good reputaiton. I knew I was in the right place as soon as I saw all the Hispanic men inside working! Real Hispanics =authentic food! Chips and salsa to start. Edible not the best I ever had my guess is it's toned down for whettas. I ordered fajitas Mexicanas they too were good a little more spice wouldn't have hurt my feelings however not ever palette can handle it. My 10 yr old son said they were the best tacos he ever ate. ( we have eaten a lot of tacos). Service was amazing and he even brought my 5 yr old flan after supper when she volunteered it was her birthday! That was delicious! I would recommend trying it but if you like it hot be prepared for it to be prepared for the average person. read more

One of the best Mexican restaurants I've eaten at. I'm a big chips n salsa guy. While I like very hot, their salsa was very flavourful. Their chips were fresh, light n crispy. My wife and I split a steak Burrito Grande and my son had the #9 lunch special (lunch specials are good all day) which consisted of a cheese quesadilla, a beef burrito and a chicken enchilada. This place has really great food! If you like tamales, they are homemade daily here and are delicious! Next time, I will order more and take several home with me. They were THAT good! We are from the KC area and have a heavy Hispanic population and I would put Tequila's food up against any I've come across at home. We also ordered taquitos, fish tacos, the burritos Mexicanos, and the fajita quesadillas. No complaints about any of the menu items. The service was marginal, but the food was good enough to overlook our empty drink glasses. We will go back again without question. read more
