I Was absolutely starving so we pulled into this place, I ordered the burrito and tamale, wife had a cheese enchilada, we had chip s salsa and guacamole. Anything extra costs about $2, sour cream, jalapenos, etc. And I can understand that, being in a tourist town with a lot of demand for special request and extras in the side. Chips were fresh and guacamole was good. Beer was cheap and margaritas were strong. BUT the food was bland. Very very bland. Just a little seasoning would go a long way. read more

Thought I would try out Tequilas 2 - was visiting Branson from out of town and looking for a decent Mexican restaurant. Experience started poorly and only got worse. While I could visibly see 6 clean and unoccupied booths, we waited for 25 minutes to be seated (at one of the booths I mentioned before). And here we go. This was the absolute worst service I or any other member of my polite party of 4 (former servers) had ever experienced. Throughout the course of over an hour, our server stopped at our booth 3 times. One of his stops involved conveniently mixing up 3 drinks were given to him. One cup was even a different color than the other 2, and he still have that cup to the wrong person. Throughout the entire meal our server was slow, careless, inattentive, arrogant, and apathetic. He truly appeared to not care at all about our party. The food took 35 minutes to arrive and came out cold. Not just room temperature - cold. My order also included rice and beans, which were not brought out with my entree. No problem. About 5 minutes after the food was dropped off, I was able to flag down another server and asked him to bring them by. 15 minutes passed and my party had finished their meals, and still no rice and beans. We finally tracked down our server and got our checks. I ensured I was not charged for the lack of rice and beans. All in all this was simply the worst experience I have had with service at any restaurant. I wouldn't even consider recommending this restaurant to Satan himself. read more

I was very satisfied with the food I had only one sample. Spence I can no longer eat really spicy or hot foods I am stuck with ordering other dishes. It could have easily handled a little more spicy ness.... But then I would not have been able to enjoy more the the going down, the after it arrived would have been most unpleasant for me. I wish it was different. The service was excellent and the waiter was personable. If and when I return, I will be back. If not for anything else the retried beans. They had good flavor, and texture, not soupy or bland. Often water is added to keep it from being dry, cheeper then adding the right amount of fat. The key word is the right amount. I have been making retried beans for years.... I have made all the mistakes. I do not care if they make their own beans from scratch or buy it already made... Just keep on doing what you are doing. But I can not help but to think they make it themselves. It has personality. read more

Why this has only three star is beyond me!!! We were grateful we went to the Coleman outlet store and this had an opportunity to go inside and look around. There was a couple waiting for a table, they were locals, and they highly recommended it. So, the following day we returned for dinner and we were thrilled!!! Good server and decent prices. We found this place by accident a few years back as we are not locals. We take a trip to Branson from Little Rock a couple times a year and we always have a lunch here. Food has always been hot and fresh. It is your everyday Mexican food menu. Nothing crazy here. read more

The food is ok but not great. The quesadillas are not the typical quesadilla. More like a big taco, but does have a lot of meat. Food is way better where I am from. Queso is just plain melted cheese. Other reviews are right about service. Not very friendly service. Had to ask for napkins and silverware. Would not cook food to request. read more

The food had no flavor. The lunch portions were very small. We both left hungry, feeling unsatisfied. The service was poor. We asked for water and one of the other servers said Oh your server will come by and get it for you and didn't give us any water at all. I ordered tostada and enchilada lunch it came with a thin layer that had been painted on the plate of beans and no rice and the enchiladas were taco or smaller and it was only one of them. This is my Mom's go to Mexican food. My Mom is a local.. My Daughter and I were visiting from California and we ate at this restaurant a couple times while in the Branson area. Their chips and salsa are very good! I like how they bring a carafe of salsa and individual dishes for each person at the table. I ordered chili relleno and a burrito. I wasn't a big fan of either.The chili relleno had like a cheese sauce and not real cheese. I had a shredded chicken burrito and the chicken was bland. My Mom ordered a burrito with grilled chicken and it had more flavor than the shredded chicken. My Daughter ordered steak quesadilla both times and she liked it. I tasted it too and wished I had ordered the quesadilla too. The second visit my Mom and Daughter ordered the same as the first visit and were happy with it. I ordered The Special De La Casa. Its was strips of steak over a bed of rice smothered in their cheese sauce. I had some flour tortillas with it. It was pretty good. They have a good selection of food items. Im sure they have other good choices. I would go back and try some other things. I feel I have a very high standard when it comes to food. Living in California we have the best restaurants. Every where I travel, most restaurants cant compare to California restaurants. My Mom has been a Missouri resident since 1992. She will tell you the same thing. !After reviewing the online menu we decided what we wanted, selected order online and couldn't find the food selections we had chosen! Sooooo I sent my Grandaughters with the list and..... staff is not familiar with the menu options online!!!!! We ordered 3 cheese enchilada, no beans or rice, could'nt order on line. We got those. Next we orderdered a Special Dinner which was supposed to be 1 chalupa, 1 ground beef taco, 1 tamali, 1chili renello, 1 enchilada, beans and rice for $12.99, we got rice and chicken instead! Deluxe quesadea, we got. Chips and sauce was 3 little containers and a bag of chips. cheese dip we got. 2 sodas we didn't get. No receipt that showed what we were charged for. The time on the receipt was 8:21, but I can't tell what they gave us, no prices. They sat for 40 minutes waiting for the order, which according to the employee had been ready for a while. The receipt #253. I tried to call the number listed as the business on their website and it said the person did not have a voicemail setup! Who does business like this? Do you not employ a manager on duty? Do you train your staff? I realize that staff is hard to find at this time but please they need to learn the menu and online ordering is a joke because if you don't have it TAKE IT OFF THE MENU! Awesome place to eat. They offer real Tex Mex cuisine. I am originally from Texas and its hard to find REAL TEX MEX food outside of Texas. I was a little skeptical before we decided to eat here because I thought "how good can Mexican food be in Missouri?". I was thinking the deli next door which is ranked number one in some places would be better. This is probably the best Mexican food I've had in a long long time and I grew up in Texas. Our waiter was Juan who is awesome and he recommended the burrito. It was extremely delicious probably the very best thing on the menu. I've never had so much meat in a burrito in my life!. I will be coming back every time I pass through Branson. Oh yea! The margaritas are mostly tequila! Only had one but it made me almost forget to tell you that :-). read more

The service was very good, and the food, overall, tasted good. That being said, the cheese dip was so runny that it was difficult to get it on a chip. Furthermore, I ordered the Tequila's Cheese Steak. The prices on my menu were oddly all whited-out with nothing new written in. What I got was something the size of a soft taco with steak and onions and cheese, and a plate that was three-fourths full of lettuce and rice and a slice of tomato. It was good, but not worth the $9 I was charged for it. We were looking for a good Mexican restaurant in Branson. We had been to a few claiming "good" and "best" but were disappointed. So we decided to give Tequila's 2 a chance. Our food was very flavorful, good portions, and the authentic Mexican flavor we had been looking for.my husband had the chicken fajitas which he said were perfect! This was the best meal that we had in Branson that we didn't cook ourselves. I have the Enchiladas Verde, which were just like homemade. The verde sauce was delicious! My husband ordered the chimichanga, which was amazing. Very lightly fried and stuffed with flavorful chicken and topped with queso. I would give it another try if we make it back to Branson! read more
