Me and my partner went here and it was 30mins before they closed and I hope that was the reason why everything was so horrible! I had a ruff day and needed good food and a buzz. We ordered the 25oz margaritas and they tasted like simple syrup and water, didn't taste tequila and didn't even get a buzz at $12 each. Salsa tasted like tomato sauce and the guacamole was bland. Hoping the food would be good, we ordered the special plate of Enchiladas with 5 different kinds and the special chimichanga plate with 3 types. Enchiladas sauce was like a thin soup, tortillas were cold and most of them were bland. The chimichangas were ok, but the shrimp chimichanga, the shrimp were hard from being old! Needless to say I will never eat here or suggest this restaurant to anyone read more

Three stars because the server was friendly and professional, however, as with many Branson restaurants, the food is mediocre. I ordered two chili rellenos, they were full of seeds.....first time I have had to spit out seeds when ordering this dish anywhere, most restaurants know this is a basic prep issue for this plate. We were quickly seated in the back of a fairly full restaurant. T2 was recommend by a local we met while in Branson on vacation. After 10 minutes of neglect, we asked a passing server for help. We weren't his table but he took our orders anyway. We ordered drinks which came fairly quickly, they were good not memorable. Four of our five meals were served with an "Enjoy your dinner." We had to ask for silverware, straws, and our fifth meal. The food was good, not worth the disorganized service, but well seasoned, hot and flavorful. We asked for a refill on the chips but never got any. Again, we had to flag down the server for the check. At that point it was just ridiculous and we were ready to go. I guess we decided to try the new restaurant thinking maybe it would be better, wrong! Same which we did not like the first time. Why they don't serve rice and beans with lunch entrees is beyond me. It was busy but they did their best to get us a table Javier was our waiter and was great!!!!!! Good service and good food.....looked like they were short handed... the girl up front that was taking names would go and clean tables in order to seat people. If I could only have one type of food for the rest of my life it'd have to be Mexican and I wouldn't be mad if it was from tequilas. They were a little slow, and that's a big emphasis on slow.. I was not really in the mood for Mexican but I was on a vacation and was trying to look for places to eat so we found Tequila's It had a pretty good amount of people waiting but the line moved pretty fast when we first got in they took our last names and we sat down pretty much right away they took us to our table. On Sunday our group of seven was very disappointed in the service. Our server promptly got our drinks and took our food order. But he left his serving platter our table and 10 to 15 minutes went by and he never brought any tortilla chips. We had sauce but no chips we worked for about five minutes to get someone's attention, but when we finally did the lady said that it would have to be our server that got them for us. At that time our server had his back to us and was serving food to a Table next to us. He turned around and with the scowl and harsh tone, told us to give him a second. Three or four minutes later another lady came back with the chips. But one of my party had ordered some guacamole to go with her chips and salsa. She had to wait a few more minutes before she could get our server to get it for her. My wife and I were Fairly happy with our food. But one of the couples had ordered a taco salad for each of them. They were very unhappy with it. No flavor at all. I heard that the salsa was supposed to be very good here. But I was very disappointed. I've had worse salsa, but I can't remember when. The third couple was moderately happy with the fajitas they got. But the overall experience with service completely ruined our dinner. We are all locals, but none of us will be back. If this restaurant ever comes up with any of us, we are certainly going to discourage anyone else from going to it. read more

Waited 15 minutes for a table in a empty restaurant. Once the 4 of us were seated they began seating the rest of the people waiting. This was at 5 on a Friday. Waiter seemed irritated and impatient. After ordering we never saw the waiter again. Someone else brought our food- horrible tacos- they were placed on top of beans and were soggy- when we picked them up they completely fell apart. No flavor, meat was not hot. Waiter never came back we had to track another person down to get our check- no refills, no additional chips, napkins etc. Poor experience. Steer clear! read more

The burrito itself was loosely wrapped in the tortilla, but it was a large burrito and easy to eat with a fork and knife. Tequila's was a random lunch stop for my wife and I on a Branson trip and we were not disappointed. The food was very tasty. Chips and salsa were nice. Cheese dip ranks in our top 5 of all time. My wife found what she called her new favorite Mexican dish that was cheese enchiladas served with what was probably their fajita chicken. The chicken was tasty, flavorful, and moist. Hmmm...I must have been there on an off day. It was quite simply, in one word; horrible. The chips were thick, but obviously store-bought...perhaps Mission brand. The salsa was pretty good, best part of the meal. And then we were served our meals. The experience went steeply downhill from there. I ordered the enchiladas verdes. The chicken was soggy and over-cooked as though it had been in a slow cooker for 24 hours. It was not seasoned at all. The entire entree sat on my plate in a sad, soggy mess. The corn tortillas were drenched in flavorless chicken wetness. My $7.99 lunch special was not accompanied by beans or rice. Simply three yuck-like tortillas. My husband ordered the chicken quesadilla. Not much cheese was in the quesadilla, they must have been short on cheese that day...just another soggy, flavorless chicken mess. The taco with beef was also flavorless. The best part of his entree was the rice, which is sad. I would recommend avoiding this restaurant at all costs. If I'm shelling out $25 for a lunch, I expect good food and great service. Sadly, this location lived up to neither expectation. I left Tequila's 2 feeling hungry and robbed. Wish I could give a lower rating. Took too long to get seated even though the place was only about 50% capacity used. Ordered a chicken taco & chili rellano. What I got was a ground beef taco, a well under cooked chili rellano, & a chapula (at least that's what I was told it was) with no rice. This is the second time I have visited Tequila's. They have an extensive menu and is children friendly. My wife had a combination plate, I had fajitas and our kids had the chicken fingers kids meal and the taco kids meal. They also provided free tortilla chips and salsa. For my family the salsa was perfect, not spicy at all. I asked if they had spicier salsa and they brought out their hotter version which was tasty and hotter but still very manageable. For you hot heads, they do not have anything that you would consider a challenge. I also ordered their white cheese dip which was very runny but was still very good. If you wait a little while it does get thicker as it cools down. I was surprised by the volume of food that was served. My Fajita plate was full of chicken and chorizo sausage. I was very happy with my meal. I was a little surprised it did not come out sizzling like some places I have visited but the flavors were really good. Overall, we walked out both full and content. The chips and salsa were good. The margarita (only one on the menu) was decent. I ordered the chicken chimichanga and it was really good but everything else on the plate was worthless. Been here a couple of times, the only reason I would go back is because they have really good Margarita's. Was very diappointed in the service, took forever to get someone at our table. When we did we tried putting in our order and the waiter seemed to be confused by everything we ordered, which we were right to think he was confused because half of our order was wrong, and we had to order drinks like twice before we got them. They did do a good job of taking care of the mistake though. They have another location in Branson West that I prefer! read more
