This place is great! It's truly a hole in the wall, but they had me at salsa bar. They also have several vegetarian options. We were quickly seated and served our drinks and given chips and salsa. I can always tell if a Mexican place will have any hope based off their salsa. The salsa here is good, so I was already thrilled. I ordered the vegetarian fajitas. They're supposed to come with cactus, but mine did not. However, that didn't really detract from the other fresh veggies. The dish came out with a literal cauldron of goodness with lots of flavor. Included were rice and beans. Let's not forget the salsa bar either! I piled on the habanero salsa and it was nice and spicy. There was enough food for at least 2 full meals. OMG!!! Arandas Tacos in Pigeon Forge was just awesome! I am so glad we checked them out; we came with a group of ten, and we were all very pleased with our food. They are serious when they say they have authentic Mexican food; I was able to have my favorite, a lengua taco, along with a beef cheek taco made with extremely fresh and tender flour tortillas; are they homemade?? My absolute favorite is tamales; their version was a bit on the small side, but it was very flavorable. I also ordered a side of guac, which was delicious and just the right size. Hubby had a chicarrone gordita that he thoroughly enjoyed. The waitress was extremely helpful and flexible with our orders, allowing substitutions for the menu offerings. The menu also notes what dishes are spicy, which is very helpful when ordering. They also have a salsa bar with several choices from pico de Gallo to mild and spicy salsas. Service - ran the spectrum between a 2 and a 5. Staff seemed overwhelmed when we arrived. Half of the open tables had not been bussed. We're told to pick a table. Staff was attentive, accommodating and friendly. Eventually they got the dirty tables cleaned up. Ambiance 1 - they could double the prices of their food if they'd up their decor. Also giving it a 2 bc of all the unbiased tables. Accessibility 4 - easy to find and get a parking space. Food 3 but take it with a big grain of salt- I can't give it a fair food rating bc we just had nachos and horchata and we could have been a bit more authentic in our food selection, which is our bad. Horchata must have been made with coconut milk bc it tasted very coconutty. Not the best but also not the worst horchata I've had. The nachos were good bc they used carne al pastor and chorizo which gave it a good flavor. They also had a good balance of chips and topping. Big miss... they didn't melt the cheese on the nachos. It would have upped the game on their nachos. Also wasn't in love with their guacamole. El cliente no necesita saber todo eso. Lo importante es atender a sus clientes. Habían varios clientes esperando más de 30 minutos por una mesa. Pero la manager no salía a ayudar y se ve que no tienen orden ni profesionalismo. Yo con experiencia en Restaurant me ofrecí ayudarles Y lo único que la manager y las meseras dijeron que no los iban a dar servicio porque se sintieron muy ofendidas en la ayuda que se les ofreció. No recomiendo a este lugar porque no saben atender y aceptar los errores que estaban asiendo las meseras. Y asta se negaron a dar servio a mi grupo.
