Came on a Tuesday night and the place was hoppin' at 6:30pm. Friendly server who was the right amount of attentive. She was extra sweet with our kids and accommodated our request to split a teriyaki bento between 2 kids. Adults had different versions of noodles and soups. Ordered a few sizes too. Everything was delicious. But the udon noodles and soup were really really good. The seaweed used on the rolls were a bit thicker than what we are used to on the East Coast - but still very passable. I don't like to give one star to any restaurant because business is hard, especially during the pandemic....but this is how they server the food and we're more than happy to pay for it even if it's not good. My wife and I went here for lunch. What a mistake. We had the all you can eat Sushi for lunch. We ordered three rolls. Spicy Tuna Roll, Avocado Roll, and the Eel roll. They were terrible. The rice was extra gooey and tasted like paste. The ingredients were equally bad. I love Sushi but it will be a while before I can have some after this place. We had four pieces of Sushi. We picked the meat off the rice to avoid eating the gooey stuff. We were told by the waiter that the next time we come in we have to eat the rice with the sushi or we would be charged for it. Delivery (on a busy Saturday night!) was under 45 minutes. The sushi was pretty dang good. Not the best sushi I've ever had (Iron Chef Morimoto's sushi set the bar) but it was very, very good. Typically the food is always very well prepared here but the last visit we had wasn't the best. Our chef made a joke about it being his second day and we all assumed he was kidding... I don't think he was kidding. He was very messy and over cooked our scallops. I saw the curtain open to the back and saw some very unsightly conditions. Ask to see the kitchen before you eat here. Eating at this establishment is hazardous to your health. During our short stay, we went twice to eat Japanese. The first night we had the teppan. The chef was good and entertaining in typical teppan chef style. The food was ok. First teppan we had where they didn't offer a variety of dipping sauces. So all the protein served tasted kind of the same. Two days after we had the lunch AYCE. The rice was terrible, making for poor tasting authentic sushi. The sushi rice was vinegary, grainy, and too wet. Maybe that explains the cheap price of $16.99. Service was kinda slow considering they had enough workers at the time. We don't plan on going back. This is not recommended for true sushi eaters. Good luck with your future service. read more

I don't know if Grub Hub or Teppan Fugi is responsible for the mixup, but we had ordered 12 items and only received 11. The item prices on the Yelp menu were a $1.00 higher than was on the receipt. I called Grub Hub support and spoke with Josh. He was able to refund the amount for the missing item, but did not seem to understand when I explained the price differences on certain items. Was very disappointed about every aspects of this establishment. We sat hibachi and every single person sitting at our tables orders were incorrect. When the hibachi chef was told everything he was cooking was wrong, he started shouting at the server and was so rude to her, tried to blame her, etc. Everyone at the table repeated the orders they were supposed to receive and he ignored. He was informed about a deathly shellfish allergy at the table and completely ignored it. He cooked all the meat together, used the same utensils, and the girl who had the allergy couldn't even eat her food because he simply wouldn't listen. They still had to pay for their entire meal even though her allergy was disregarded. We then ordered sushi and waited almost 45 minutes for it to come to the table. It was 1 roll of sushi. The fish in the sushi was rotten, we had to spit it out. They used some sort of white fish meat, which wasn't listed in the ingredients for that sushi roll. Luckily they took the rotten sushi roll off our bill and we sent it back. The restaurant itself is extremely loud. If you are looking for a quiet date night do not go here, usually screaming children and large families are filling the space. read more

I'm extremely picky with my sushi... I'm from southern CA and I didn't expect to find such amazing quality in a Flagstaff, AZ! The service is excellent and the quality of their sashimi was phenomenal. They also offer a "all you can eat" lunch option for only 16$! Nice touch.
