Very good. All the people there seem to be authentically japanese. Very cute, nice, friendly hostesses and servers. I had filet mignon and shrimp. It was vey good. Could've used egg, chicken in the fried rice but it still tasted good. The chef was good, funny, nice, and talkative. We celebrated my birthday. They gave me like a chefs hat to wear. I dont know if its actually a paper chefs hat, but it was fun. They gave me a desert menu that at first i didnt think i would like from the descriptions, so i declined but they brought me a slice cake. i think it was a ginger cake. It was suprisingly very tasty. Was there 4 months ago on a business trip to Orlando. Granted it is located in Epcot and the food and wine festival were going on we did try to request a hibachi table to ourselves (there were 5 of us) due to talking business. It was rather loud but the food and personalized service that WDW strives for was second to none. My co-worker compared it to more of a production of a great show than a restaurant. Was excited for this restaurant due to the mediocre food at Disney but was left disappointed as the quality does not justify the price charged. Place is pretty much like other hibachi places where they cook what you order on a stove right in front of you. Though employees of the whole restaurant were very Japanese the food was okay considering that dishes were around $30-40 - piece. This place is extremely conservative with the food and how they serve you. If you have an allergy which I have they will make sure your food is safe with no cross contamination. I ended up getting the salmon entree and julienne beef. It's amazing and the cook was amazing but all of them are. I highly recommend this place to anyone that just wants to have fun at Disney's Epcot... The drinks are also very good and they make sure you taste the alcohol. read more

Teppanyaki really is about the show more than the food. We had the steak and chicken for dinner. Obviously since it's at EPCOT, Teppan would have the Disney prices. But for the price, I would've expected them to season the meat more than just salt and pepper. They give you different dipping sauces so I guess it's not that big of a deal. I think my favorite part of the meal was the sukiyaki rice! My only gripe is that they don't give you enough, since it's just soooo good. What you can always expect especially in Japan in World Showcase is the stellar customer service. The cast members there always respectfully greet you and are probably the most polite and professional of all the countries in World Showcase. Delicious teppanyaki and entertaining chefs.!! In my opinion this is an entertaining dining experience versus a culinary meal. Vibe of the restaurant is energetic with the chefs conducting a show at the grill with their utensils. Meals were delicious especially the steaks, perfectly cooked and quite tasteful. We had a great time here. It started off a little disappointing because, even though I had made a reservation weeks in advance AND we gave them extra time when they said they were running behind schedule when we checked in, we STILL waited for like 45 minutes to be seated. That was really a bummer, because by the time dinner rolls around in Disney World, you've already had a loooooooooong day. A wonderful day; but a long day. Our family dined her for an early reservation. We were able to walk up at 4pm and get a table for 4. This is Teppanyaki style dining. The food and sauces were tasty. I chose the shrimp and steak, which came with veggies, noodles and rice. (No soup/salad like other teppanyaki places near us.). At our table, others had chicken and liked that too. We had a lovely late lunch/early dinner here. The servers are all Japanese and very courteous, and the chef did such a great job cooking, explaining and cracking jokes in front of us! We had an extremely rainy day in the park and were a little worried that we would feel uncomfortable with wet hair, no make-up and generally looking gross as it is a nice place, but we felt right at home. For a starter we shared the ribs, they were very tender and perfectly seasoned. They also give you a salad if you order the entree from the grill, which I really liked. I am however used to asian flavors, and the sesame dressing they use perhaps is not for everyone. My girlfriend had a tempura roll that was amazing (I stole a piece), and I chose the vegetarian entree. It was great value (24 dollars), and the portion was so big I couldn't finish it all. Other people at our table had the steak option which also looked and smelled amazing, so I will have to try that next time! Also, save some room for cocktails (or mocktails). My girlfriend had the virgin piña colada and I had some sort of blood orange thingy that was just divine. Sure, the over all price level is higher than other places in and around the park, but the quality you recieve matches it. Our only "complaint" would be the fact that you share a table with others. Generally I love this concept, we just happened to be a little unlucky with our group. They made the job so challenging for the servers and chef by speaking loudly on the phone, face-timing with others while the chef explained, refusing to try certain foods (sesame seed dressed salad, I am looking at you) and generally having a terrible attitude. The servers kept their cool and provided awesome service, which I have no idea how they did... Please pay attention to what they say and do, everything is done the Japanese way and with so much detail! All in all we had an amazing experience here, and when we return we hope to see some awesome and polite Yelpers at the table instead! read more

One of the best table service restaurants in all Walt Disney World! They have good cookers, that know how to make your meal into real entertainment! They are very careful about food allergies, do they can cook in a different order according to the guests' specifications! We had lunch and I recommend the beef and the Ebi shrimp. read more

I'm not normally a fan of hibachi. I feel that it's more about the experience than the food itself since the food tends to be pretty flavorless. However, this place proved me wrong and that you can actually have both! I was a little skeptical of their sushi but ended up ordering my own plate of nigiri when I saw them arrive, and it was awesome!! For the hibachi, I ordered the chicken and shrimp which came with rice, udon noodles, and vegetables. They provide 3 types of dipping sauces for you to choose from, which is more than what you'll find in Houston. However, the food still had flavor if you choose to not use the sauces, which shows how great the chef was. I recommend making a reservation in advance. Very nice looking and smelling restaurant. Obviously since it is inside of Epcot it's nice and very pretty. The service was fast since we had made a reservation. We ate at the hibachi part of the restaurant. The hibachi was great! Udon noodles were fantastic! The shrimp was flavorful. My sushi was okay. Not the best I've had but was definitely enjoyable. The sushi side may have move options. Prices are definitely high due to it being in the park. Expect to pay $30/person. Service was good! Our chief was hilarious! Very fun and friendly! This is a great restaurant to check out in Epcot! It's traditional Japanese hibachi. Dinner and a show! The atmosphere is really fun and entertaining and the food is delicious. Plenty of food too, you'll never leave there hungry! I recommend making a reservation though because it could be difficult to get into since it's so popular. Yum yum yum! There's pretty much nothing I love more than Japanese food, and Teppan Edo does it really well. I always enjoy hibachi restaurants, and this place is no exception. The meet and veggies are good and the chefs are entertaining. I can't give this place five stars for a two reasons, though. First, and most important, they don't have fried rice. Lame! Steamed rice is good, but the preparation of fried rice at a hibachi restaurant is one of my favorite parts, and it just tastes better than steamed rice. Second, the place is pretty pricey. Not really an issue for me since we were on the dining plan, but still. Despite the lack of fried rice, this is my favorite table service restaurant in Epcot. Definitely check it out. read more

Teppan Edo is the disney version of Benihana, except Disney employees here are all native Japanese. Although they may not cook the most delicious food, it's a fun show. Definitely make reservations ahead of time to get the teppanyaki experience. Without reservations, half of the restaurants feeds people without the show. As for price, it is pricey but about the same price as san francisco, sigh :( I'm sure it's marked extremely high for orlando standards. Overall, I liked Teppan Edo more than Benihana. read more

Our family attended while on vacation and visiting Epcot for the day. We love hibachi. This was a total let down. While the building is pretty it is very cramped, the bathrooms were horrible, so so dirty. I am very good at understanding people who don't speak English as a first language but I literally had no idea was the one waitress was saying. The chef was nice but the food was so bland and had no flavor. I got chicken and steak both were over cooked. The mango cake was good and the dressing on the salad that's it. We won't be back. I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. I remember as a kid (25 years ago) going here with my parents and it was awesome. In comparison to other hibachi style restaurants outside the park this one is very disappointing. We were given cabbage for a vegetable with the hibachi meal. I have never ever been given such an inexpensive vegetable before with hibachi! Normally you get mushrooms, carrots, pea pods, cute little corn things, ...but cabbage and onions?! Disney... trying to make a profit. Our chef had a pin on that said "earning her ears" so she was new, but it honestly seemed like she had no personality or idea of how a hibachi "show" was to go. She kept asking where we were from, where we were staying, how long we would be there...never did one trick except an onion volcano. On the upside it was nice to get out of the heat for 1.5 hours for lunch, but the experience here is lacking, especially for Disney. read more

Teppan Edo, located within Japan inside Epcot, is a definitely a must try when visiting Disney. It's not only delicious but who doesn't love hibachi? Such a fun time! This is was one of my top 2 favorite restaurants during my visit. This hibachi was a little bit different then the normal hibachi I get at home...and that's a good thing! The dressing on the salad wasn't that chunky, orange ginger dressing that I am using to be served, it was a lighter vinaigrette-type of dressing and it was delicious. For my entree, I choose the filet mignon. I originally wanted to pay extra to do filet mignon and chicken but they only let you do the combination with the NY cut steak, not filet. I offered to pay extra but they said no...oh well. The filet was cooked perfectly medium and was very good. The noodles and veggies were also prepared perfectly. What I loved mainly about our chef was he used minimal oil and butter. He prepared the food in such a minimalist way and it was amazing. Usually hibachi chefs love to load on the butter/oil, not here at Teppan Edo. He also didn't use any fried egg mixed with the rice, I didn't miss it at all! We also had an amazing craft of sake, can't recall which one it was but it was great. Served chilled on a bowl of ice, it was the perfect addition to the meal. Also, I need to shout out the servers, they were all super friendly and accommodating and really made you feel like you were in Japan...bowing heads and the whole nine yards. Before I begin this review I would like to say that I am a connoisseur of hibachi and sushi. And this has got to be one of the most crappy hibachi experiences I've ever had. We arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation and we were seated at the correct time. However from the point that we sat down to the point of eating we waited about an hour. Our waiter was a young man and he looked and acted lost. I hardly saw him and by the time he took our orders we waited another 20 to 30 minutes before we even got our appetizers. I thought this whole dining experience would end within an hour but it took us almost 2 hours to finally eat, after park closing, causing us to miss the monorail and have to take an Uber back to our hotel. The food itself was very lackluster. And like the other reviews I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but there was no seasoning. The chef used salt and pepper and soy sauce and that was about it and I still really couldn't taste those. There was also a party that was seated after us and our hibachi chef was accidentally sent to their table instead of ours so we had to wait even longer. My husband and I had high hopes to have an amazing dining experience because of reviews we've seen and recommendations but sadly we were extremely disappointed. We were celebrating our anniversary and the only reason I didn't leave one star was because they did give us a 10% off of our total bill and a free ice cream. Still for over a $250 dinner you would think you would have the experience of a lifetime and I was severely disappointed. Don't know if anyone wants to waste their time. We had this reservation weeks in advance. Also instead of fried rice they used to udon noodles here which was very interesting. Anyways eat here or don't, I don't think it was worth it. read more

Had a great meal! Went during covid and they did a great job with social distancing! Had a divider at the big tables between parties and they were seating every other table. It's an experience, and it can be fun. I'm not sure if it's ever fantastic but it's definitely a great spot for larger groups to dine at. In comparison to other teppanyaki locations in the US, they start to feel the same BUT, I just remembered something. I like the ones that try to shoot the baby corn in to your mouths from yards away. In fact, I believe that's what separates a good teppanyaki from a great one, it's the cook. Here at Epcot, you are given all the fixins and material for a great teppanyaki experience. Everything from the friendly service, the seating, the ambiance, and the food. Our chef was very careful with the food handling. Had another couple sit at our table that was allergic to spinach. Therefore the chef created two entirely separate chow mein dishes over the grill. Good for the him. His handling of the meats was great as well. Very well cooked, medium rare as expected in certain meats, and the scallops were pretty awesome. My personal downside to this experience were the lack of the smaller fixings wich you can use to decorate the finished plate. It may be different for this place from others. Another thing is the interaction from the chef to the table. His english was limited so he couldn't carry many conversations. He had a show but a slightly disconnected show. Probably because we were so busy stuffing our faces with the food. Looking back, it wasn't as engaging as I rememebered. Not that he was rude, he did his job plus a touch of hummor. Will I ever go back? I say if a group is craving it, sure, why not. It's not bad at all. Pricey of course but not bad. That's it! Teppan Edo is definitely by-the-books. While the manager is super super kind and helped the situation in the enthe reality is that this food is just not good and I'm really sorry to say that because I wanna support Disney everything. The food was like actually bad and bland. We ordered the wagyu and it was COLD inside I actually spit it out and had them cook it more and I'm not that person at all. I'm on my honeymoon and we've had great dining experiences but it really ruined our last night here because I spent the evening heaving in my hotel room. Definitely a solid four stars. I see some people complaining about the lack of showmanship in the dinner service, but I thought our guy was fine. As long as my food is cooked well, I'm happy. I really don't need the guy trying to shoot food into my mouth. There was a long wait despite our reservation but I'm sure that's because they're trying to fit parties into as full of tables as possible. Like most teppanyaki places, they'll seat you with strangers. We had a fun group so we had a great time. Everything but the rice is cooked right in front of you so it's fresh and delicious. This was probably the best sushi I have ever had in my life. I never would have imagined I would have this experience in a Disney Park, however, I was pleasantly surprised. The jalapeño sushi roll was the perfect amount of spice (for those who enjoy anything and everything spicy). I went also enjoyed my dinner with a delicious martini. The service was a little slower than I would have liked but overall the experience was great. First visit to this establishment located in the county of Japan at EPCOT. I was overall impressed , the vegetables were amazingly fresh , steak consistent with butter and chucked was tender. I was super let down by this place. I know what you're thinking..."how could you be let down? These places are the exact same regardless of where you go." Well, that's not true. I thought it was, too, but it's not. Big fire on the grill? Nope. Fun egg tricks? Nope. Tossing zucchini for each diner to catch in their mouth? Nope. Like, this place just doesn't do anything. The food wasn't bad, but there was hardly any "show" which is especially strange given that it's Disney.
