The shop is beautiful and always clean! Lena and her staff are the best in the area! I've been a client of hers for going on ten years. She does amazing work and is always ahead of the nail trends.

Similar to other reviews, their nail techs are pretty good or at least meet expectations but their prices seem to change every-time I come in. Normally I pay 110-120 for refill (acrylic and gel) and pedi (regular). The next time was 145, then after that 160. Today, when I was almost done with my nails they said it would be 160 for just the refill (see photo below), excluding the pedi. Between LA and Miami or even in the DMV, I've never heard of just a refill and no design for just 160. Even the nail tech seemed surprised when their boss told the price. I essentially left without getting a pedicure and went to Fantasy nails and spa down the street for a cheaper price but still having the same quality. I would advise anyone who comes to this place to always check the price of exactly what they're getting. In my opinion this is highly over price to pay 160 for just a refill with no design. Not worth it!

New Management - August 2020 Lena, the new owner, has been my nail technician since 2015. Always provided great customer service, beautiful nails and relaxing pedicures. She shapes my nails PERFECTLY and keeps up with all the latest nail trends. Highly Recommend!

THIS SHOP IS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT! I always and have been going to get my nails done by Lena for the past 4 years. She is the best. Provides great customer service and knows how to make your nails dreams come true. I also see her for my pedicures.

The other girls will be green with envy.

I'm not sure why the overall rating is only 3 stars, especially considering how awful some other nearby salons are. I walked in for a mani-pedi ($35: reasonable) and was pleased with the color selection and brands (plenty of OPI and Esse). The pedicure was one of the best I've had in awhile. The tech was a bit of a perfectionist, which was fantastic. After a summer without nail care, this was desperately needed. My one complaint? No post-mani shoulder massage! But I've received a little rub after mediocre nail treatments, so I'll happily return.

They are owned by someone new now and after 3 days my nails started lifting. Super upset because I live above them and they are convenient.

Helen is very entertaining. Its a small salon of three technicians, so if it's busy you can expect a wait...but they move fast and will stay open past their close time to accommodate you if you sign your name on the appointment sheet. They are pretty quick with service and this is first and only salon I go to for dip powder nail service. The pedicures from the male owner are great as well because it includes a nice leg and foot massage that is amazing. I like the feeling of coming into a salon and the technicians knowing my style and history and that's what you'll get here.

Pink is my favorite nail color

I had to follow Lena from her old location to here. She does an outstanding job with my nails and my eye brows. Her mom take great car of my pedicure. Lots of street parking during the day additional parking in the garage. I highly recommend this shop because they take good care of my hands and feet.

I tipped the nail technician extra because she smacked my ass and gave my thigh a little rub while I was washing my hands. Not sure what that was all about but it resulted in a smile from both of us. This place is not fancy by any means, but they get the job done. And they keep the Disney channel on, so I was able to keep up on on my tween television. The massage chairs were pretty old, but for a $30 mani/pedi combo I didn't care. At first when she started cutting my cuticles I was fearful she was a little too gentle about everything. That was until she took the cheese grater out. Haven't seen that before, but I can't remember the last time my feet felt this soft. On top of that that she also used a nice little exfoliating scrub and also massaged in plenty of lotion following. Overall, pretty quick, convenient and quaint little nails salon. No bells and whistles, but for the price point you will leave satisfied.

Wanted to find a new nail salon closer to home and never knew Tenley Nails existed!! I've been living in downtown SS for 4 years and only couple weeks ago that I noticed there's a nail salon 5 min walk from my apartment. Apparently this establishment have been taken over by new management. I had to call ahead for appointment due to covid...I called at 10:30AM and asked for a 1PM slot, I walked in and was asked to sign a waiver and my temperature was taken upon arrival. I was immediately seated in the pedicure chair. I asked for a simple gel mani and gel pedi, I was thinking of going for a matte look and the owner allowed me to take a look at how the matte would look like on my nails with the color I chose and decided that I'd go with "shiny" this time around, I like that she gives her input as a professional and let me decide as a customer, you don't find that in many salons. The total came out to be $85 before tip. The owner uses Zelle as payment so that was an easy transaction. Would I come back? Planning on it in 2 weeks!

    Gel polish full-in.

However, I do not know if I would bother coming back again due to a few reasons, but I would not try the same tech again. One, I noticed after the appointment that I had two cuts on separate cuticles from the tech trimming them back. Additionally, each of my cuticles were not given the same amount of attention. One particular finger stands out with the gap between the gel and my new growth being larger than the rest. I am aware that perhaps my nails grow unevenly, but I've gotten my nails done before and never had this issue so I think it's still worth noting. I also left the salon with unnoticed gel under my nail that I had to chisel off later. Lastly, at exactly the one week mark, the gel on one nail started lifting. That particularly upsets me because I'm worried about moisture and bacteria getting trapped so I had to remove the gel much sooner than anticipated. I work a desk job and genuinely don't do much with my hands so I am confident it wasn't anything I did. Overall, for $60, I expected better. I am honestly most disappointed because I was willing to support a salon with their values. Lastly, parking at the co-op is no longer free and hasn't been for at least a month. I wish their website would be updated.

I really liked the vibe of the salon and the fact that they use non-toxic materials. They also appear to treat their staff very well. However, they are a bit pricy for a gel+builder manicure but I was willing to bite the bullet on the price if the work matched the sticker price. Unfortunately it has not. I got my manicure on Friday late afternoon and by Sunday afternoon several of my nails are already chipped. There's no reason a gel manicure should be chipping/fading after 48 hours. I guess my search will continue.

It seems like Sundays are appointments only, but I could call ahead of time and ask if they were available, and gladly took me in. The place could be a little cleaner and more modern, but other than that, I loved the way they did my nails, especially Trang. She was amazing! The other time I went to get my nails done from here, another woman did my nails. There were a few streaks, but not to the point where I was really bothered by it! I personally feel that there could be some minor renovations and improvements, but otherwise I think I found my new nail place and will be returning whenever I need to get my nails done!

Apparently, their standard is that a $125 set is only guaranteed for 5 days, which is ridiculous--and nowhere in the shop is that policy clearly posted. To make matters worse, when I went back, there was no accountability. No credit, no real solution--just a quick fix where the tech didn't even properly redo the nail and instead used Gel-X to stick it back on. It was obvious they didn't know how to recreate the original set. For the price, the quality, service, and professionalism did not match at all. Extremely disappointing experience. I won't be returning.
