We use tender car Bayview when we had a small fender bender on the freeway that unfortunately crushed our grill in and caused lots of problems even though we were fine. We dealt with Kat and Mike which both did a great job for us communicated well and the service was terrific and the people that we worked with were terrific I highly recommend tender car they also cover your copay if you have one. read more

ZERO STARS. I would strongly advise anyone considering this shop to go elsewhere. My experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. Communication was poor the entire time. We received little to no proactive updates and had to call repeatedly just to get basic information. Most responses were vague ("waiting on parts"), and eventually our calls were not being returned at all. When we went in person, we found that several items we had been told were completed were not actually done. After six weeks, the car was finally returned and in worse condition than when it was dropped off. The front passenger door was not properly connected to the power system, making both the door and window unusable. There was visible damage to the interior, including scratches on the seats and in the rear of the vehicle that were not present before. The passenger side mirror that was supposedly replaced already had a crack. We were also told the vehicle would receive a full interior detail. I brought the car back four additional times for this, and each time the detailing had not even been started despite being told it would be taken care of. Eventually, I had to stop bringing it back and just take the car as-is because I needed it. This was not just inconvenient, it was unacceptable. The lack of accountability, follow-through, and basic quality of work is ALARMING. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this shop to anyone and would strongly caution others against trusting them with their vehicle. read more

There are so many details I can't remember now as this was a few months ago. My boyfriend brought his car there because the "we pay your deductible" lured us in and he was in a collision. He was without a car for over a month and kept getting the same runaround as others. Oh, the wrong part was sent from the junkyard! Oops, we found more things wrong and your insurance has to come out to approve it! Stuff like that. They often don't answer the phones and make excuses. At the end of the day, they don't pay your full deductible but have a sign in the lobby explaining they pay a percentage. In order for them to give you a discount to have it fully paid (in our case) he was told to write two 5 star reviews and prove he did. Why on earth would anyone do that before testing and seeing the car?! He did one and they let us get the discount so I guess here's the truthful review to counter it. So scammy and weird. His car also shakes a bit when he gets up to a certain speed but he didn't want to have them fix it because he'd be without a car again. RUN Away from this place! They tell you one thing one day and the next day (if they answer the phone) the story has changed. They tell you parts are in one day and the next they are still waiting for the part. They tell you the car is ready they have it in detailing and then the parts are still not in. It has been 6 weeks for a steering column repair due to our car being stolen. The insurance company only pays for a rental for 30 days Tender Car said they only have 2 loaners and both are out imagine that ! Every time my husband goes there because he gets fed up with the phone not being answered he has to wait 45 minutes to an hour while he listens to everyone else that is there for the same reasons. I get there might be supply chain issues but all the lies and non communication are not acceptable. Any reviews you read that are positive are not true or are from long ago. This is the second time I've used Tender Car for my body repair, although it took a little longer than what I was originally told they did another really great job. The two passenger side doors replaced and the paint job looked fantastic, they also detailed my car so it was clean inside and out. I got rear-ended sitting at a stop light and the person who hit me didn't have insurance, meaning I had to pay for everything out of pocket. I had a pretty banged up rear panel and more unseen damage on the inside. It did take longer than expected, however they did repair everything and I get it, they had to get extra approval from my insurance after they found additional damage. They replaced my entire bumper, a sensor that was damaged, my metal frame inside my car as well as a light that was completely destroyed. They also detailed my car as well which was nice. update review I went back to pick up my car for the second time and once again they messed up and did not fully fix everything. They fixed my roof panel but failed to fix my wheel noise issue and didn't replace my fog cover piece for my bumper. Everything was suppose to be new for the entire bumper. I'm so irritated with them I've been calling them for months asking if they are fixing the wheel problem and replacing my rotor but everyone has no ideal what's going on. Always tell me they call me back but never do. It was in the notes from the owner of company and my insurance gave them a check for the rotor and roof panel but they didn't even bother with the wheel and didn't replace my fog bumper cover. This incident has been really a ride- having problems with my insurance company, the adjuster, and all kinds of stuff but the staff at tender car were patient and diligent- fighting for me, keeping me informed, communicating with my agent and all the necessary things. Initially, I thought the panel repair on my Chevy Equinox was great. However, there have been some additional discoveries since then. The hood was not damaged or in need of repair. However, they switched out the hood in excellent condition for one with bubbles and rust. They deny this, but I know that is not my hood. Even the edges don't match like our original hood on our 4-year-old Equinox. It is too early for rust bubbles and I KNOW it never had anything like that before the Tendercar repair. Mike showed me a photo of the rust bubbles, explaining he took the photo when I brought the car in. I know he took the photo before he returned the car to us. We have been very busy and I did not look at the hood for awhile. Now, I know they switched it and took our good hood. Additionally, they kept the car for 3 weeks. We did not drop off the car until Tendercar assured our insurance company that they had all the parts. The repair should have only taken 7-8 days. I kept telling them if they kept it too long we would have to pay he rental. They assured me that I would not as they kept in touch with the insurance adjuster. I just checked my bank record. After the return of the car, $181.00 was deducted from our checking account without my knowledge. I will never go back to Tendercar. I thought I was saving the deductible, but we had to pay the $181.00 car rental and now almost $2000 for a new hood. Stay away from this shifty place. read more

Although they came highly recommended and I have used them before on S KK, the one on 76 and Bradley Rd, sucks they were , short, condescending,.matter of fact and it appears that they don't care if you come back or not. Because what they should tell you is "we will mess up your car even more and never answer your calls or response to messages." This is my second time using this company and I should have learned from the first time. They left my rear lift gate misaligned after I questioned it they said there was nothing they could do. Then now the second time the door was hit and after repairs the door is misaligned and doesn't close or seal properly, there is over spray all over the place, the did horrible job repairing damage and the paint has tons of flaws. After they promised to fix it, they still don't return my calls, and the rental they promised seems to be not an option. They left the inside of my car full of dust. And to top it off they stole items from my car! Yes they pay up to $500 of your deductible and might get your car back faster than most places. But you won't be happy. I'm going to echo others reviews and then top them. GO ELSEWHERE. They may cost you more then your deductible in the long run. I was lured in by the ads to pay my deductible and the owner sounding very honest and sincere. My Grandma always said "If it sounds too good. . ." I had my front end, hood, windsheild, and roof crushed in. I was quoted 4 days - 2 weeks for the repair. IT TOOK 2 MONTHS! I, too, got the run around each week when I called. Luckily, I had a rental. Then, when I FINALLY got the call to come get my car, I could not believe the state it was in. The outside "tape" lines and overspray where very easy to see from their paint job. They missed damage on a panel up front. Inside my car was a joke. The interior roof had a huge crease where they must have bent it to fix the light and exterior roof. The dash board was never replaced, nor the side pieces that were all gouged from the shattered windsheild glass. . . Of which lots of shards were still visible on my floor and seats, so mediocre job "detailing" it. When I immediately went back in to ask the desk ladies why none of this was fixed in the 2 MONTHS they had it, they came out to look and gave a dumbing "Opps. I don't know how they missed all this." Then I was told to call my insurance and bring it up to them, then call back and make an appointment to bring it BACK to have all this fixed. SERIOUSLY!!?? I'm sorry, I can't be without my car for another 2 months with no rental! But what can I do at this point? I feel violated. . . The icing on the poo cake, a few days after I got my car back, I not only noticed there is a gap where the wind is really whistling in near my roof and window, but I swore I smelt a burning smell. Upon having my husband inspect the car when he smelt it too, WE FOUND A ROLL OF TAPE WEDGED IN MY ENGINE COMPARTMENT THAT WAS STARTING TO BURN!!! I HAVE A CHILD! IMAGINE IF THAT HAD ACTUALLY CAUGHT ON FIRE!!! So now I'm still going to have to shell out my deductible to have a good place fix this mess that Tender Car did. They advertised a special on detailing, which I paid for in advance and scheduled. Received an email the day before asking that the car be dropped off by 9 AM. Today out of the blue I received an email issuing a refund - with no explanation as to why they did not provide the service.I went to pick up the car, and they gave me the key back, telling me they had "good intentions", but not offering any viable explanation as to why they did not perform the service expected. Said they could not contact me because they did not have my phone number, even though all communication had been by email. My car has been in the hands of this business since January 15,2023 it is now 3/9/2023 . My car still isn't finished just for a rear bumper repair. I have called several times and spoke to several ppl and have been promised several dates of completion and they have all been lies, every-time i call someone tells me my vehicle will be completed by tomorrow and it still isn't done. They had my car for almost 2 months for a bumper replacement. When I dropped it off initially they quoted 3 weeks. That was a joke! They NEVER follow up with the customer on ANYTHING so don't expect them to ever call you back. I called and left several messages and NEVER received a SINGLE call back. Once I was able to reach someone I always received a different answer on the status of my car. It was lie after lie after lie! I was told my car would be ready two different times. When I called to see if it was ready for pickup it was "Oh we still don't have all the parts in". Why on earth would you tell me it's ready then? If you truly want to get an update on your vehicle then you definitely have to give them some face time. We went up several times just to lay eyes on our car to confirm the actual progress. You simply can't go off their word. They are wayyyyyy over their heads on this. They are accepting too many jobs without having the proper staff and management to oversee everything to the end. The place lacks organization and their lot can speak to that effect. The south side lot is FULL of unfinished cars that are pushed to the wayside once a new job comes in. I will NEVER utilize their services again! They even kept promising me a rental which I never received. To compensate they knocked a few more dollars off the deductible but honestly that did not make me feel better at all. This has been a terrible experience and I wish that I would have taken my car some place else and just paid the full deductible which BTW is just a gimmick to get your business. The owner of this place says he is contrite about their previous problems, no longer uses Groupon because it overwhelms their business, and has changed the commission structure to avoid over committing and disappointing customers. After two separate bad experiences, my husband wouldn't let them touch his car, but I let them do a makeup job on my tiny Smart car. We aren't very messy with our cars, so it was not as big a challenge as some folks present, but they did a good job. The carpets come back wet, so you must leave the windows open for at least a day to let things dry out. Next, I'm taking in hubbies Jeep Cherokee and will report back. read more

Terrible body shop. Never take your car here. Avoid at all costs. This shop has no idea what they are doing. I had my car hit by someone without insurance a year and a half ago so I thought I would take it to Tender Car to save on the deductible. Long story short, they did an awful job, and I'm still having to deal with them for the same crummy work they did over a year later! First, it was just having to deal with the incompetence of the office. It was a 2-week job to start, could have stretched to a month, but the initial work took them over 2 months to complete! And all the while they would call me up every week, tell me my car would be ready the next week, and continue that charade for over a month. If it's going to take 2 months, that would have been fine with me, if they would just be up front and honest about that! One time they said the car would be ready at the end of the day, all they had to do was put the glass back in, and then they tell me their glass guy left without putting it back in! How do you lose track of your workers??? So I get the car back and it's fine all summer. When winter comes around my rear defrost doesn't work. Turns out the geniuses at Tender Car never reattached the rear defrost when they put the rear glass back in. Lovely. And you would think all I would have to do is bring the car in and it would be a day job to reattach the defrost. Nope! 2 days for Tender Car! Now it's about a year and a half later and after a rainy week, I noticed my trunk was getting wet and flooded with water. I took the car to another body shop (a good one this time) and the guy immediately diagnosed the problem - and I quote, "Your car was in an accident, yes? They did a terrible job." He could tell just by looking at the car. Apparently the weather stripping, glass, or something was not put back properly causing the car to leak. He also pointed out some terrible paint jobs they did when repairing the car, which is how he knew there was work done to it. If you like headaches and want your car in worse shape than you bring it in, then choose Tender Car. In the future, I will gladly pay my deductible to not have to deal with these people again...and again...and again. Unfortunately, I am stuck having to deal with them yet again, for something that should have been over and done with over a year ago. read more

Only take your car here for repairs if you don't need your car for a long while. I was hit by a driver who didn't have insurance, so I was left to cover my $1000 deductible. I had seen ads that Tender Car covers the first $500 so we opted to take it here to save some cash. At first we were told it would take a few weeks. A few weeks turned into 3, then 4, and before we knew it we were car-less for just over 2 months. Every time it was a new excuse "our glass guy only comes in on certain days" "some parts got damaged after a big gust of wind" and on and on. With each delay, they would try to sweeten the deal by covering another $100 of our deductible. There were so many delays that our entire $1000 was covered. While I'm not upset I didn't have to pay a cent, their customer service was terrible and I would have preferred having my car back within 2 weeks as I was originally told. Also to note, they do offer cars to drive while your repairs are being done, but these are pretty junky cars. Now flash forward to 6 months later when I need my rear defroster and I realize it's not working. I got a sneaking suspicion they didn't connect it after replacing the back window. I called and they agreed it was likely their fault and told to bring it in. They did fix it, but again it was 4 days before they got to it. Overall, the quality of work seemed fine, but I would never come back due to my negative experience. read more

So my car was broken into on the 24th of May it is now the June 1st. So this will be the second consective holiday they have had my car. I have been calling tender car the the last 30 days trying to find out when my car will be fixed. I was told that they sent my car somewhere else, and they had no idea when the car would be ready. For the first 4 weeks I got so much run around, then they begin telling me, that it will be ready on monday, well monday never came, so then they told me by friday, guess what, friday never came, not counting all the times they said they would call back, guess what, that never happened. I was also told that I would have my car by the holiday, (the holiday being the 4 th of July) seems to me like the only time I become a valued coustomer is when I call, and after I hang up, sucks to be me. By the way I pretty much call everyday. I am still waiting to find out when I will get my car. I am really trying hard not to call on fox 6 for assistance, because this is really rediculos. My truck was damaged due hail. Took it to tender car, which was the biggest mistake of my life!! Promise date was 12 days. It took almost 6 weeks!! Kept calling in one week intervals, and they kept saying next day,next day. Finally went down to the shop. Found my truck with the doors open and filling with shop dust and whatever else. Complained about it, was told, it was no big deal. It would be detailed be it was returned! BS!! My truck never and will never be the same! Not only was the inside trashed! I found parts under my seat,( screws, molding clips) that were never reinstalled!! Bluetooth speaker was never hook up when they took out the headliner, finger prints all over that assembly. First time picking up my car after tender car fixing my accident.. There was issues with paint and gap problems with the bumper. Upon speaking to them about the issues the owner Jon instantly got everything fixed in a timely matter with no hesitation. I recommend Tender car collision for any accident needs. I originally went there for bodywork after a minor collision. It was done quickly and professionally. In fact , I got my car back a day earlier than expected. I've also had car repairs there and they have always had the lower quote and they don't randomly find things wrong with my car. They also had detailed my car and the ratchet smell (too long a story to tell) that filled my car prior to the detailing is no longer present. I have no complaints. They perform a wide range of services so I have no need to go elsewhere. I'm updating this review because once again Tender Car is awesome. I got into yet another collision and my car was totaled. I showed up lost and defeated but walked out with another car that fit all my specifications and was even better than the one I lost for half the price of my insurance pay out. So not only do they fix cars but they sell them as well. I've had zero problems beyond maintenance and I like Tender Car so much that my sister and I even bought a car for my nephew which is also in excellent shape for a good price and with tinted windows. They've opened an additional location in North Milwaukee on 76th street which is even more convenient for me. Now, wherever I am in the Milwaukee area, I know Tender Car has me covered. read more
