Had a great experience bringing my car to Schok's after it was hit and deemed as totaled by the insurance agents. The owner was super nice and assured me that he did not believe my car was totaled and that everything was still fundamentally safe and sound. He was patient with me in regards to my drop off/pick up dates (as I am in education full time) and responded to all the questions I had about the process. He was able to actually fix the car for a little less than what the insurance agency paid me out (yay!). Mary was also extremely kind and understanding when my payment wouldn't go through right away. I am SUPER HAPPY with their work! This is a small, mom & pop auto body shop with terrific service. I needed my front bumper replaced, and I stopped in to get an estimate. While looking at the bumper, I also asked about a mark on my passenger door, where someone had opened their car door into mine. Mary, who seems to run the office, was so nice! She told me that they could buff it out, for free, and get rid of the mark. But if I wanted it painted, it would cost about $300. So let's do the free buffing! The estimate for my bumper came in at $805, which is very fair. Mary said the estimate included a $10 part that I may or may not need. If my car doesn't need it, they will certainly take it off the price. Agreeable with the estimate, I asked how long it takes to get the parts and how soon they can do the work. I got the estimate on Monday. They said they could get the new bumper in and start the work Wednesday morning, and they'd have it done Thursday. Sold! They definitely stayed true to their word. I dropped the car off at 8am Wednesday morning, and they called me at 11am on Thursday to tell me it's done. The job they did is nothing short of perfection! Not only does my new bumper look amazing, but the mark on the passenger door is completely gone and looks good as new. The best part is that the final price was even less than the estimate. I had been patronizing a dealer for over 15 years and made a point of developing a really good relationship with the service people. There must have been a change in management because everyone I knew disappeared. I took in my 2016 with 9000 miles on it because the brake pedal was soft. I sat for 4 hours ( my choice), paid $500, and have had metal on metal brake sounds since then. I'm not going back. I had some body shop issues on my other car and found Schoks Auto Body on the Internet. Thank goodness. They are wonderful. I walked in; Mary gave me a complete estimate of the body work right away.I brought the car in the following day .The cost was less than I expected; I received it sooner than I expected. Not only was the body work done, but they also got rid of some white paint from me scraping the side of the garage. It was washed and shined. Last week when I picked up my 2014 for some body work on it, I asked Mary to recommend a place where my vehicles could be serviced.
