The shop that maintains my car, Ray's OK Service, recommended I go to Quinn Auto Body. "You'll love them!" they said. They were right! Quinn's is a family-owned, multi-generational business owned by father-son duo Pat and Tim Quinn. The unassuming shop a block or so behind the VA hospital complex on National Avenue is home to some exceptional detail and great service. I dealt with Tim at the beginning stages of getting my car fixed. He carefully wrote up an estimate for me and I was off to the claims adjuster. I was glad I visited Quinn first. I felt their estimate was thorough and fair, and I felt the claims adjuster was not fairly representing my interest in getting my 8 year-old car repaired. The documentation was good leverage in dealing with the insurance company and making sure my interests were represented. It took a week for my car to get fixed, a little bit past the three days we anticipated. Part of the problem occurred when a parts supplier shipped a hood that had to be rejected because it did not meet Quinn's quality standards. Quinn made good on a delay that I don't think was their fault. They provided me with a loaner car free of charge so I could get to where I needed to go. I felt well taken care of. When I returned after my car was finished, I was delighted. There was my car, looking shiny, polished and spiffed up like it had taken a trip to the spa. It was clean, spiffed up in the interior, all back together and fixed. I was happy to get the payment settled and drive home in my beloved car. The father, Pat worked with me at the end of the transaction. He was a delightful businessman. He told me with pride how the beautiful 1964 Corvair convertible in his showroom was built the year he graduated from high school, and told stories about the vintage bright orange Allis-Chalmers tractor, stored in the shop, that meant a lot to him as a West Allis native. As I contrasted this experience in my mind with the plain vanilla facade and interior of the insurance-recommended shop I was really happy with my decision. I would refer Quinn Auto Body to anyone who wants quality workmanship and attention to detail. I am pleased and delighted with the work they did on my car.

Located near my house, I'd driven past Studer hundreds of times over the years. I saw great reviews online, so I gave them a shot, and they lived up to the hype! Bob Studer was very professional, friendly, and he expressed his genuine gratitude for my business several times. He explained how they have equipment to scan the car to ensure the electronics for the safety features (blind spot alerts, etc.) were functioning correctly after the body work and later provided me with the report confirming the scan results when I picked up my car. The damage was done on my driver side rear bumper, tail light, and side panel. Bob drove me to pick up my rental car, and I was able to leave my rental car at his shop for the rental company to pick up when I got my car back. My car was dirty when I dropped it off, but washed and shiny when I picked it up. If you ever need body work for your car, I VERY HIGHLY recommend Studer Body & Paint! I was very lucky to get my car in within a couple days because of all the flooding, auto repair shops were jammed. They kept in touch by email and phone to let me know the status. They had my car for about 15 days because they had to order parts as some were not repairable and also they are not open Saturdays or Sundays. When we did go to pick up my car, the work was fantastic, even better than I thought it could look. I was happy to support a family owned small business. We got in sooner than their initial estimate, but the work took longer than the week they suggested. They had to fix things then paint, and it all looked to match perfectly. However, we noticed that weekend (once my husband had a passenger) that the front passenger door was hanging low and didn't match the line of the trim. We called to see what could have caused this since we didn't see this issue before we brought it in and the accident damaged the left driver side. We were told by the shop that it was that way when we brought it in. First off, NO. We even have a few pictures before we brought it in and that was not the case. As we didn't trust what they were saying, we took it to another body shop to get an estimate to fix this issue. Within a matter of minutes, they found that the bracket on the frame that holds the door shut wasn't screwed all the way in. They surmised that someone may have taken things apart on both sides to line things up when reassembling and perhaps didn't remember to screw that part in. They fixed it on the spot for no charge.

From the moment I dropped off my vehicle they were very courteous and respectful of my questions and concerns. Michael let me take all the time that I needed to make sure my questions/concerns were addressed and vehicle would return to me and perfect condition. After performing an estimate that the insurance company didn't think was accurate, Concours continued to advocate on my behalf and was successful in get the correct amount. My car was returned to me in under the estimated time. The craftsmanship of the vehicle repair was top notch. All the parts that were replaced are OEM.( They always use OEM, so no need to ask) I was a little skeptical about body shops ability to match the OEM paint however they absolutely nailed it down to the blue flake sparkle in the black paint of my SUV. They even were able to make a slight adjustment to the repair to include a different part that I wanted installed. Michael personally dropped off my vehicle to me when it was ready. The repair was fairly simple, just needed the part replaced and then a paint job to match the rest of the car. Roy gave me a MUCH smaller estimate than any other shop in the area, PLUS he got the work done in 2 hours, when everywhere else quoted me 2 days! They did an excellent job with the repair and paint - looks like new! This is a very small shop, so talk with them to see if they'll be able to do your repair. I would at least get an estimate from here to compare with other places, especially if you're looking to save a buck, because in my experience it really paid off. There aren't very many reviews on this place right now - I wouldn't trust the other one star review since it's from some fake namer with no real info attached to it, and the other 5-star review is from the business itself. So hopefully my review helps you a little bit - like I said, I came in for a quick bumper replacement, and this was the quickest, cheapest, and easiest place to get it done that I found in the area.
