I am a relatively new resident to the Villas at Ten Thsound. After weeks of construction and disrespect from the staff, I am at least relieved to have found a place yelp where other residents are expressing their concerns and opinions on this disastrous situation. Clearly, this construction is not something "everyone wants", as we have been told on countless occasions when we complain. We were told this place had amazing amenities, and as two young women who work from home the apartment seemed like a perfect set up. Over the last month the pool has been closed due to construction. Not only is the pool closed, but the surrounding tables and chairs, which means besides a small common room and one or two office spaces there is no communal room - the amenities of the property make our rent higher, so to lose these for half a month, should be accommodated. And then came the apartment unit construction. With maybe just a few days notice, our apartment became a full construction zone, and all for something that would absolutely NOT benefit us in the slightest. I see another review below where the owners commented saying they were "offering washer and dryer installation". This is FALSE. It was mandatory for every single apartment unit to receive a set up, because it was clearly cheaper and easier for management to do it all at once. When myself and my roommate expressed our concerns and anger, we were told not to worry, as the apartment would still be livable during the day while the workers were there. As you can see in the picture below, our entire living room is completely covered, not to mention all of our furniture (which we usually use to work from home between the hours of 8-5) is moved and covered. I cannot even believe that management thinks it's okay to not compensate at LEAST half the rent for the month, seeing as this project is going on for 12 business days, meaning our furniture needs to be moved and out of the way for their construction well over half the month. But the most concerning thing of all, was that after my roommate came home one day after construction had taken place from 8-5, she found our porch door wide open, unlocked. While we are on the second floor, someone could easily get to our porch and come into our apartment. In fact, while we were touring the unit we were told to make sure the porch "always stays locked". As two young women, this is not only terrifying but so disrespectful of our property. I am beyond disappointed with the last month, and I've never felt so taken advantage of by a rental company. read more

Additionally, we were unfairly subjected to unjust treatment due to other resident's unacceptable behavior. We left the building, feeling deeply frustrated and disheartened by the way we were treated during our time there. Despite paying the required fees and rent, we were denied access to the amenities and fair treatment as occupants. Our initial intention was to move in and be added as official occupants under my friend's existing lease. We had paid the $400 per person fee as instructed, but the leasing office continued to delay the process without providing a clear explanation. This continued for a whole month, despite our persistent requests and the agreement being signed. The lack of transparency from the leasing office left us bewildered and concerned about our status as tenants. During our first few days in the building, we encountered inexplicable restrictions, such as being denied access to the stairs, despite having paid a substantial $15,000 in rent. Furthermore, we were unjustly barred from using the pool and park, with the reasoning being tied to alleged misconduct by a previous co-occupant, a situation that had nothing to do with us. Adding to our woes, the corporate card intended for our use was neither delivered nor handed over to us, as we were not officially recognized as occupants. This created a payment delay, which the leasing office then used as an excuse to threaten eviction, even when we expressed our willingness to make the payment promptly. Their insistence on eviction over a one-day payment delay seemed unreasonable. It was disheartening to discover that other tenants in the building had experienced similar issues, often tied to their race and sexual orientation. We realized that they were discriminating against gay and black individuals like us. It became evident when the lease holder's girlfriend, who arrived after us, was swiftly allowed access to all amenities and added to the lease within a week, despite not being on the initial lease. As individuals who value integrity and fairness, we are determined to get to the bottom of this situation and seek appropriate redress. Discrimination on the basis of race and sexual orientation is unacceptable, and we intend to hold the building management accountable for their actions. read more

My husband and I live primarily in Northern California and leased a furnished 2-bedroom unit in the Ten Thousand in July as our secondary residence. Leasing Agent Lisa Hillary helped to make our move seamless! She is the consummate professional who goes above and beyond and continually follows up to assist residents to make sure their new home feels like "home". The convenience and amenities in the building are second to none. The staff is always welcoming and accommodating; willing to bring up groceries, packages, dry cleaning, arrange for car washes or housekeeping, etc. Communicating with the staff or requesting your vehicle from the valet is made easy through the building's App on my phone. It's also a way to notify the staff of guests who are arriving so they can send them directly to my unit. The gym, conference rooms, media room and common areas are all state-of-the-art. The buffet breakfast is a nice touch, and of course so is the open bar on the 3rd floor where residents and their guests can enjoy a glass of wine in the beautiful outdoor lounging area. The Ten Thousand is the perfect building for professionals with busy lives; people who travel frequently; or those who are looking for a part-time residence in Los Angeles. It is ideally located right on the edge of Beverly Hills, and conveniently beside the the Century City mall and the new Eataly LA. If you are considering this building I would highly recommend contacting Lisa Hillary in the Leasing Department who is the most knowledgable about what the building has to offer, and will make your move stress free. read more

This Place is the Worst to Call Home. First of All, No Privacy!!! Everyone at this building (Resident's, Guest's, and Employee's) are always trying to find out about people by Googling them. They Offer many amenities that are not even available once you ask for them. The Valet Manager (Ray) is so incompetent, Rude, and Not very Polite when you approach him with a question about your car being damaged and not mentioning it to the Guest. I have had my Car Dinged and dented by the Valet's countless times. (Not That I care because It's just a Car, But that's Not the Point) The Butlers are always sitting down in their office not doing much. Rowen at the Front Desk is By Far the Worst Receptionist EVER! I've Seen him treat delivery people, (Including Resident's, and Guest) like if they are trash. I don't know how someone like that is still working. Crescent Heights In general wen't very Cheap in building this place. I can Always hear my Neighbor's either arguing or making noises with these thin walls. The Only Employee's that made an Impression to me are not even working there anymore, (I Wonder Why?) Jimmy the Chauffeur, Javier the Valet Lead, and Gabriel another Valet Lead. Those Guys where Rockstars and wen't above and beyond any needs I had while living there. I am glad this is my Last month at this Hell hole. Word of advise to the Crescent Heights Owners, Stop being so Damn cheap and Build and Manage something that you Promised instead of just trying to take our Hard earned money. My company and I coordinated an event at the Ten Thousand Building this past weekend - my client was hosting their engagement party on the third floor. We worked with Ryan Gomez and Ian Bounds through the planning process, and throughout the event day. I cannot speak enough kinds words on the experience we had in this space and with this company. They were incredibly accommodating whether it was rental delivery and pick up times, providing ice to our bar (as a planner, this is a rare one), helping us and our vendors navigate the building and aided in our set up / clean up process with efficiency / professionalism / and always helpful to find a working solution. The space also includes a lot - lighting, kitchen, storage, trash cans, ice, security, lounge furniture, seating, parking, etc.There aren't many things to bring in, all based on preference to your event - but blown away by the quality of the space, the staff and the amount we were able to utilize which helped my clients budget quite a bit. The team provided nothing but a happy / helpful hand throughout the process, making such a seamless process, start to finish. They were truly so easy to work with, present on the day of, and communicative even past the event / on the follow up needed. Highly recommend hosting your events here! read more

An incredible place to live! We've lived here for over a year and are really happy. We had only planned to stay a short time but we like it so much that we are staying longer. The building is pretty new and management does listens to resident recommendations and make changes. Things are being improved all the time. No place is perfect but Ten Thousand comes close. A lot of the people complaining are entitled whiners with too much time on their hands. The staff is amazing and they try hard, the amenities are top-notch and the common areas are kept clean. I love the gym, the tennis court, the pool and the theater. It really feels like home when coming in. The best thing though is the staff who are always there to help with anything. Almost all are excellent but extra kudos to Ray and all the valets especially Damian and Mario. Also, Johnny C., Rigo, Marvin, Nelson, Christian and Rowen. Other staff who are amazing are Jennifer M. in the business office (my favorite!!), Richard, Lakei, Vlad and now Casey. Too many great people on staff to mention everyone. It's a first-class apartment and in my opinion, there is nowhere better to live in LA. read more

I love this building and all the staff in it. We lived here for a year and it was such a great experience I don't know where to begin. The staff is phenomenal and the amenities are out of this world. There is nothing like it, and amazing complimentary breakfast EVERY DAY! A gym better than Equinox, a full bar, lunch service, live music on Friday nights, movie nights, elegant cocktail parties monthly, you can even get a vitamin IV in the movie theater while you recover from jet lag or prepare for a busy week. I've had massages done in the wellness room, enjoyed family yoga on the lawn on a Saturday morning, followed by a fresh, organic juice!!!! This place is better than anything you're likely to experience outside of Dubai, service and amenity-wise - and less we forget the views. Our unit was on a lower floor and the views were still something to swoon over.. Just overall amazing - great community for the most part. We are thinking we will return one day soon! I called Ten Thousand home for a little over a year and must admit that throughout my travels this is one of the most luxurious residential experiences Ive had. From the moment you set foot into the lobby you are greeted by valet, doormen, front desk agents. Butlers who will carry all your luggage up to your residence for you. 24 hour armed security that just makes you feel safe! My first encounter was with the Business Relations Director, Jennifer, who more or less convinced me to give it a try despite my love of staying at 5 star hotels. She made big promises and the team delivered! Christian in maintenance is a superstar, the concierge is awesome, Richard Jones is so cool and fun. The trainers Lakei and masseuse Elise are phenomenal. the food and beverage crew always remembers my favorite morning (and evening) choices! The place is overall just a grand experience. If I didn't have so much business on the east coast I would've stayed much longer. read more

I moved out and they send me the most bogus move out statement asking for almost $17,000. They wanted to replace the front entrance door which was working without any issues prior to me leaving. Here is a photo of it. I turned over the unit flawless yet they said they had to spend lots of money fixing issues. There was a water leakage which caused a lot of units to have to be displaced including me. Fast forward 3 years later when I moved, they tried to blame my poor dog and saying her urine has caused the water damage and I need to pay to replace the flooring. Generally these units were poorly build with the cheapest maters including VYNIL flooring and not real wood planks. The management and the people in leasing office are not helpful, and are conniving. They even promised me a referral fee for a friend who moved in but later retracted and went back on their promise. Feel free to reach out to me via Yelp and I can give you more scoop. read more

Having said that, it gives me great pleasure to express my sinceremost gratitude to the outstanding team of dedicated personnel at Ten Thousand Santa Monica. Both I, and my wife have had the privilege to enjoy their huge smiles during our repeated stays at one of our family friends' residence in this luxury building. As a token of gratitude, I would mention the names of a few exceptionally devoted individuals that I remember off-hand. Scott, Rowen, Anthony, Grace, Omar, Marc, Jeremy, Marlene, and Kimya can all be counted in this group. I want to commend the incredible team at Ten Thousand for their outstanding service. I stayed with my best friend for a few days, who recently moved in due to the wildfires, and the staff made the transition seamless. One person who truly stood out was Jason/Jacin--he went above and beyond to help us unload everything from our car and into the apartment. He made several trips yet never once seemed to mind or look annoyed. Instead, he remained friendly and professional the entire time, making the whole process much easier. He even assisted us in tracking a package, which was a huge help. The amenities at Ten Thousand are top-notch, but it's the people who make all the difference. This place is amazing. Being a single Father with an 11 year old boy, we have never felt so safe and taken care of. Every aspect of this place is flawless. An amazing gym, sauna, and cold plunge. The basketball and tennis court are a huge plus. The amenitites are too many too list. But the best thing about this place aside from the flawless units and all of the incredible amenities is the stellar staff.
