You can either buy tea or go to the other side of the shop that sells boba. This is our second time coming here and they are never busy which I'm surprised but also pleasantly happy about. I love the diverse menu. One of my favorites is the kumquat iced drink which is a good size and plenty of kumquat to see after you are done with your drink. Service has been good both times. Not much ambiance which is fine cause we always take it to go. There's street parking or you can find a parking lot close by. We walked it from the Cathedral, so it was a good walk especially since we had free parking after attending church. We will definitely be back.

We got green tea while we wait in line for howlin rays. Strong green tea and not water down. Give the shop a try. Better than drinking soda for fried chickenthe service is quick..

I really enjoyed my experience in the tea shop. The ladies were helpful in explaining the teas and their benefits as well as how to prepare them. I thought the prices were very reasonable. I selected a bag of tea and pack of sachets for under 15 bucks. I think it's a quick must visit if you're in the plaza!

Large Taro cooler, no boba... with extra from the blender without asking. What a great establishment!

Ten Ren is always my favorite in DTLA due to great bang-for-buck pricing, plus their very attentive and thoughtful staff. Giving an extra portion from the blender is how you win lifetime customers. Thank you, Ten Ren!

I found this place on. My stroll through the neighborhood on a hot day and man did the iced boba cool me down! Perfect little place to get refreshments in an open walkthrough plaza to hand in some shade. Delicious flavors to choose from! And from who I'm guessing the owner they were very nice and welcoming

We came on a Sunday at 10a. They are one of the few boba shops open before noon! However they cook their boba fresh and didn't have boba ready until 11a. We got other milk teas. Parking is free on the street on Sundays. We came for Howling Rays last week and finding cheap parking is hard! But luckily coming early you can beat the rush.

Jasmine green tea and Taro milk tea. $7.50 EACH

I was a big fan of Ten Ren's until I tried the drinks from this location. We ordered our usual: Jasmine green tea and taro milk tea. Both of the drinks were extremely diluted, I might as well drink water. I'm so disappointed that each drink cost $7.50. I might still go to the Ten Ren's in other locations but NeVer again will I come back here.

Yummy place in Chinatown DTLA to get tea and boba! I ordered a 75% sweetness taro milk tea with boba and my cousin ordered a 50% black milk tea with boba. I usually order 100% sweetness because most boba shops make the drinks too sweet, but my drink tasted like 25% sweetness and my cousin felt as if her drink was not sweet at all. Which was totally okay! Healthier of course. Just fyi if you like your drinks sweet- 100% sweetness is probably what you're aiming for. The tea was light and refreshing. It didn't taste artificial but rather relatively high-ish in quality. Not as "high" in quality as boba guys or bopomofo to me, but I enjoyed it more than Quickly's next door and Bubble U further down the street! Still delicious nonetheless and will definitely be coming back again! :)

Ambiance was nice- a mom-and-pop shop vibe. We were the only customers when we came so the employee was fully paying attention to us. He took our order quickly and made the drink in a few minutes. We got the green milk tea for $6 each. There was only the large size option for this drink. I got half sugar and half ice so it tasted more like tea but it was decent.

Spacious, airy tea place in Chinatown that sells tea leaves and prepared tea drinks! It's been a long time since I've been to Ten Ren let alone the Ten Ren in Chinatown. The staff was friendly and welcoming as I ordered my drink. It's nice to be able to speak in Cantonese! I ordered a strawberry milk tea with boba which came out to be $6.50. The tea was refreshing and not too sweet; the boba has a nice chewy texture. Lots of nostalgia visiting! Staff shared that business has picked up with the bustling restaurants in the plaza namely Howlin Rays but it was very quiet on this Friday afternoon when I visited. Definitely come support your Chinatown businesses! Plenty of seating with tables and there's also free wifi! It's a great space to catch up with friends or do work. Parking can be found on the streets or at the public parking lot across the street for $5/day.

Star berry iced boba milk tea & orange pineapple hot tea.

What a great tea house right inside a little nook off the street. Safe, comfortable, welcoming and can we say delicious?!! The strawberry milk tea is phenomenal! It's a must try! We had to wait for the fresh boba for the day to be ready and it was worth the wait! We also got a hot orange pineapple tea and it's a sweet fruity tea that was amazing to have on this cool morning. All in all a great place and the staff was super welcoming to our family to come in and sit, chill and drink our teas. Family friendly and I'd highly recommend!

Strawberry Coconut Coolers! Basically a coconut smoothie with strawberry drizzle.

Very chill location inside the plaza and great on the go! Peak hours are between 12-1pm and it does get busy since there is only 1 barista who handles everything. There is in door seating and they allow outside food if you want to eat inside. Staff is very nice, attentive, and friendly! Got the "strawberry coconut cooler" and it was surprisingly good. I would ask to lower the sweetness because regular is quite sweet. Basically a coconut smoothie with strawberry drizzle. The fruit tea here is not bad either, I personally like their mango green tea. I recommend half sweet or even less. Boba is good, chewy, sweet, and last quite long during the day. Hot drinks, I recommend the honey lemon tea. Not overly sweet.

When I came, it was completely empty, but then again, it was a Tuesday at 1 p.m., so probably bad timing on my part. I asked the barista how I could find upcoming events, and she told me that after COVID they host events every once in a while, and that I should email the owner for more information. I was a little disappointed, given that the place was advertised as community-oriented, especially since they have an indoor space where they could pin flyers. That being said, I'd still say this place is worth visiting. First off, the ambience is great, and I love the décor. If it's usually as quiet as it was in the morning or early afternoon, this would be a cool spot for remote work or studying. I would definitely come here for a first date. When it comes to drinks, I'd say they're decent, though I've only had one so far. I tried the espresso tonic and had low expectations, since I never expect great coffee from boba shops, but I was pleasantly surprised. The coffee itself was okay; nothing spectacular, but nothing offensive either, which works fine when mixed with tonic. I just wish I had been able to taste the longan they add to the drink. Overall, it wasn't bad. Next time, I'll have to try a boba tea to get a better sense of the drinks, but all in all, this seems like a great hangout/date spot that I'll try to make use of in the future.

I opted for the classic classy matcha latte, 50% sugar, with boba- and it was on the mfn money. The matcha they use is some quality stuff, not your typical Starbucks-esque, but also not bitter and earthy. The sweet kick from the boba was just enough to tie the whole drink together. My other coworker got the mango matcha latte, 50% sugar- delicious as well. If I was going for something a little more refreshing, that would have been a great choice. Price was fine, $7 for a regular drink, but I couldn't taste any matcha at all. It was a nice banana milk though. No public restrooms. I was nearby a couple weeks ago for the L.A. Chinatown Firecracker 5/10K Run/Walk & Bike Ride event. I wanted to support this bakery. I bought a couple egg tarts, two baked BBQ pork buns, a Chinese donut, one Mango smoothie (comes with milk), one Watermelon juice, and one Three Berries juice. Wow, egg tart was one of the best I've ever eaten! It was creamy and sweet in a crisp, buttery shell. SO GOOD! I wish I bought one dozen and not two individuals... next time one dozen for sure. BBQ pork bun filling was adequate and taste was decent, but I've had better from other bakeries. Chinese donut was a bit oily unfortunately. Out of the 3 drinks, fresh watermelon juice was the best... will get again. The other two drinks didn't have any depth in the fruit taste whatsoever... will not get them again. Staff was just okay.
