I don't know why I didn't try this pharmacy sooner!

I was scared, stressed, and completely out of insulin after another Walgreens closed hours earlier than advertised. Ian spoke to me with such kindness and steadiness. He said, "Miss Walton, let me see if I can help you out," and those words alone calmed me. Then he came back with, "Great news... we've got several extra Lantus pens in inventory." He didn't stop there. He told me he'd try to push it through, and when he returned with, "Great news, Ms. Walton! I was able to push it through for you! We've got you covered," I genuinely felt the weight lift off my chest. People like Ian make all the difference in the world. He turned a crisis into relief with compassion, competence, and heart. Jeremy is one of those people who can't go anywhere without a beverage, so we stopped at CVS to get a Monster... and an orange vanilla coke for me. Both of which were outrageously priced, but that's inflation, I suppose. Many shelves were absolutely bare. I suspect they're removing all the summer stuff and getting ready for Hallow-xmas. It's a basic CVS situation. I only go into those stores when I need a quick beverage. I DO use a CVS pharmacy, but even then we only use the drive-thru. Going inside always seems like such a hassle. They even kept the pharmacy open 10-12 minutes past closing to issue for my daughter (who just was released from the hospital) a much needed pain relief medication and antibiotic that cost over 98% less than what the hospital physician prescribed. I had to drive to the hospital as pharmacy closing time approached since phone connection to a physician there was unreliable, and the information Michael gave me (missing diagnostic code) for insurance prescription reject spurred immediate action at the hospital nurse station, ultimately leading to pharmacist Paul's persistent phone interaction with hospital physicians to resolve yet another problem. 5 star service!

Arrived 20 minutes early as suggested for a 12:40 appointment. Check in was pretty easy. Just had to put in the name and date of birth on a tablet. The only issue was the wait. There was a lady with her son there when we arrived. She had been waiting since 12:00 for her 12:20 appointment. The person working the minute clinic didn't come out to get them until 12:36 so needless to say we ended up waiting much later than 12:40z

As I walked to the line I saw two registers and didn't know exactly where I needed to wait in line so I asked another customer. I didn't feel like our conversation was loud at all, but all of a sudden an employee came from the back and up to the counter and yelled "the sign says the line starts here". There was no reason for her to yell like that especially since it was dead silent and by no means was I causing any problems at all. She embarrassed me for no reason, especially since I was already not feeling well, which their staff might consider for some of the customers. I don't think anybody should have the right to make people feel that way. I also don't think it was right for the other staff members not to correct her . I am extremely disappointed in her unprofessionalism.

CVS as many people have experienced is always crowed and understaffed. And the employees always seem like they're ready to slap me in the face for asking a question about a prescription (can't blame them though, read about how they overwork and underpay their employees). Not these guys though. Always so ready to help. Only downside is just a result of them being a small business, less stock and variety on some over the counter items. But I can always make do with what's there - they always have at least one option for whatever you'd usually find at a pharmacy.
