my grandma brought her lawn mower in, just a regular push one nothing fancy, it took them about a month to get it fixed. we bring it home and nothing it won't start. We put gas, and oil in it. let it sit and still nothing won't crank. we brought it back for them to fix it again and this time they said everything works. low and behold it doesn't work. another week of waiting for nothing. it did crank and stay on for maybe a minute. paid almost 200 for nothing. read more

Called to ask if they would pickup and deliver my Raptor. I knew they had picked it up in the past and I had a great customer service. I was told they would pick it up that week...well after two more calls and over a month later they came and picked up the machine. It needs a pulley replaced and the belt and now two weeks later I have heard nothing and after reading reviews today, l hate to hear what my charges will be Or how much longer I will have to wait to get back my machine. I was contacted by a family member to come pick-up her Generator and bring it to Ten Lille Engines for repair. NOTE: This is a brand new, never used generator that has been sitting for two years since date of purchase. There has never been gasoline inside the tank. The manufacture "DuromaxPower" recommended that she it bring it to this location which was 1.5hrs away from her resident due to being their authorized sales and service company. I drove it to Ten Little Engines, paid the $60 required for diagnostic fees and the waiting began. Two weeks later I contacted Ten Little Engines after not hearing anything and was told the generator was just sent out for repair and there was no word yet on its status. (WHAT!! Sent out for repair? That is why I brought it to them). Another week went by and I called and was told that the generator was just assigned to a tech and they don't know what is wrong with it yet and almost in the same breath, I was told that it needed a spark plug and a battery, (You don't know what is wrong with it because no-one has looked at it but it needs a battery and a spark plug). I was told the service manager would call me with the diagnostic and an estimate for repairs. Guess what, no-one called. I called them and told then to pull it out, that I was coming to get it. It was found in the same location that it was dropped off, partially sitting out in the weather. The battery was exposed and sitting in water. Remember, the generator is brand new and was pretty blue. Not any more. ***I would not take any equipment here*** I should have done my homework, checked reviews. I was following my Aunt wishes and I should have check the generator out myself first. I will be doing the service myself. My handicapped Aunt on home O2 in Hospice care will just have to wait. I have used Ten Little Engines many times and have been pleased. However, recently I had the need to use their 30 day stated warranty and was very surprised and disappointed that it would not be honored. Carburetor on riding mower failed twice within warranty and I decided to try another mechanic and was informed there would be no amount refunded even though I had paid for service which did not work. Did not expect 100% refund but certainly some refund since I was leaving with the same problem as I had come in with but had been charged over $100. JimP read more

I first brought a Kohler powered machine here because they were recommended as a high rated Kohler shop. I was not disappointed. I do work with a State department and they shifted their business here. The service was great. NOW the business has fallen into some serious problems. Don't know what is going on but the folks at the counter seem to care less. The business is in need of repair. The equipment I brought in a week ago still sits where it was unloaded and the woman at the counter said they were short mechanics. When I asked when I might expect something she said she has no idea. I asked is two weeks reasonable or more like two months. She said maybe. So Monday i will retrieve the machine, make a temporary patch then attempt to order the necessary parts and get the work done elsewhere. Sad to see a business like this fail but it looks bleak. Beware of these crooks! I took my generator in to be worked on. $40 up front and $55 when I picked it up. Drove 1 hour back home and it was in the same non-working condition. We have been a customer of the Ten Little Engines shop for about 15-17 years. Do an annual tune of our Hurricane Generator (never fails to start and always starts one pull), our power washer and our riding lawn mower. Always a great team in the office and their work is also great. They are so good, like a lot of small business owners, that they get jammed up with a lot of work in the summers. So if you want it done right so it works it might cost a little more but worth it when it always works and does the job intended. I am sad. This was a great company! The owners would interact with clients and treated me (a puny startup landscaper) very well. Nowadays its just this weird dude that avoids eye contact. He is extremely rude. They could not do the work I needed done in the time promised. No phone calls from them. Eventually I just took my machine back. A minor repair had been performed to satisfaction but this was not why the mower was in the shop. I miss the old days when the place had a fun atmosphere and the Sesco's were smiling. My lawnmower was due for a tune-up and the wheel had come off, so I called Ten Little Engines, they quoted me $22 for the wheel and $75 for a tune-up, great, my fiancé dropped it off. The day is was due to be ready, my fiancé called and was told the carburetor had been rebuilt and it would be $180, we said no. Later that day when he called again, they said the string you pull to start it had broken and that would be an additional $40. My lawnmower was starting and running fine when I took it to this place, it needed a wheel and a tune-up, I was quoted $98, now they want me to pay $317!!! These People are 10 Big Thieves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They stole the rear end off of my Murry 30" riding mower, and replaced it with a bad rear end, as well as my engine and gave me a bad engine!! The worst place on the planet I have ever!!!!!!!!!!!! Hindsight is 2020-- I was referred to them by another lawn mower repair shop.. cause they were too busy to take mine in- I wish I has just taken it back home- I took it to 10 little engines for them to clean out my carburetor cause it had bad gas in it. When it was ready they called me and told me that they fixed the head and the rear end.. I said I did not bring it in for that! I brought it in to have the carburetor repaired. When I got there they wanted to charge me 350.00 for the repair of the rear end and head work.. I said What are you talking about!!!?? They said oh -that is the wrong one, yours is 150.00 for the carburetor cleaning. Long story short..after I got it home it ran even worse.. I called them and told them it was worse then when I brought it in to them--they said you need to bring it back in.. I said I will never bring it back in. I had to find someone else to look at it, he said it had an oil leak - which it never had before, I had issues with shifting the gears, which I never had before, the head was bad, which I never had that problem before, it is too expensive to repair now!! They stole the rear end and engine off of my mower and replaced them with bad ones. -They are the worst and they will have to face God for what they did to me. read more

n April 2019 my MZ magnum Bad Boy mower needed a serious tune up. I went to Ten Little Engines to get the fuel filter, solenoid and spark plugs since they are supposed to be the BAD BOY center in Gainesville The guy behind the desk acted like he was doing me a favor selling me the parts. No eye contact, no thanks for your business, nothing. They didn't carry the oil filter I needed which was a surprise, so I had to go to Home Depo across the street. What I realized then is they charged me 3xs the cost of the fuel filter and so I took it back. My bad for not shopping around. In May the front tire went flat so I was forced to call them again since no one in town carries the tires. They would have to order it at a cost of $90 and I"d have to pay the shipping. I had a tube put in the tire and saved $50 bucks. Yesterday I gave them one more try because the 2 belts on the mower were worn and no else carried those either. Again they didn't have the belts on hand and had to order them and made me pay for the shipping $12. When I went to pick the belts up the guy behind the desk walked by me 3 times before even speaking to me., it was as if I was invisible! He finally asked what do you need? I said I'm here to pick up the belts I ordered, with no eye contact or other words he threw the belts on the counter and turned and left the front office. Poor customer service, outrageous prices and lack of respect for those customers paying their wages will keep me from doing business with these jerks again! Lesson learned 3 strikes you're OUT! I brought a functioning edger in for a switch replacement and tune up. I notified them I would be leaving town in a week. They said it should be ready by them. When I didn't heard from them, I called them the day before I left. I received a phone message to hold, which I did for some time, and then left my name and number to be called back. I was not called. I looked up their email address and wrote them and got no response. Upon returning to town the following week, there was a message from the mechanic at 10 Little Engins saying that although he saw that the machine was working when I left it, he was not able to start it. He said it would need to have a carburetor rebuilt. I called them, getting no response several times. I finally got a call back. The gentleman I talk to was polite and said he would check on it. Again, he said the mechanic was un able he was unable to start it and it would need the carburetor rebuild. My daughter called and let them know it was her machine and it was working fine when it was brought in. She said we would pick it up. When I did and returned it to her, she was able to start it immediately. That was $40 dollars, which you pay when you leave anything, that was not refunded, and much time spent trying to contact the company by phone and email. When it was delivered 2 months ago I had to free up a pulley so the blades would work. Got that fixed. Then mowing for ten mins. the mower shut off, checked oil, no oil. Had to add just about a quart of oil. So we start it up and 10 mins later, it shuts off again. This is NOT a WORKING mower!!!! So we call them and they come pick it up. Well 2 months later and an extra two months of paying someone to mow my grass. That cost me $100.00 that I should not have paid if I had a WORKING mower. They call and now want me to pay for parts and another battery, which the one in it went dead at their shop. This is insane, not good Business Practice. It's like if I brought and paid for a pepperoni pizza and pepperoni is missing and take it back to them and now they want to charge me for the pepperoni, That is not right and this is what they are doing to me. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Burera, BBB and will never ever do business with these people. They told me that they FIRED two mechicanics and that mower should not have been delivered. SO WHY IN THE HELL ARE YOU CHARGING ME TO FIX A MOWER THAT SHOULD NOT HAVE EVEN BEEN DELIVERED!!!!!
