I've been seeing Matthew for several months and treated myself to a truly magical four-hands with Matthew and Gabriel for my birthday. They listen to what you want, intuit what your body needs, and give you both. They communicate, and make sure you feel comfortable--that the depth, pressure, movement, and modesty are right--so you can let go of the world outside, let go of whatever stress you've been carrying, and take this time for yourself. This is a full-body experience, because the way our bodies are built isn't in isolated parts--everything is connected and the form follows a flow. When it's over, you will be smiling, glowing, shining, relaxed, refreshed, revitalized--and ready to book another one. Highly recommend.

Their hours are very convenient - staying open until 10pm - making it possible to schedule other things during the day, have dinner and then still have time for an hour long massage! If you're not familiar with these types of massage stations - most are like this one where the space is divided into different sections - some for two people, some for 4 people and then a row of reclining chairs. You are assigned a masseuse and then taken back to your area. They give you a bin to place your jacket, purse/bags and they place it under your massage table where you can see it while you are laying down. You stay fully clothed, and they place a thin blanket over you for during the massage. When you sign in you are asked what areas you'd like the masseuse to focus on. I chosen my back and shoulders. If you choose the same focus - I'd recommend wearing something sleeveless to make it easier and more effective for your masseuse to work your arms, neck and shoulder areas. The price is reasonable, especially in this economy! And because it's reasonable, I always tip very well. These masseuses work hard and really put their whole body into it! These are not the wimpy, spa kind of massages...these are the nice, strong kind with good pressure that really really melt your stress away! Although, you do have the chance to tell them at check-in what level of pressure/intensity and pace you prefer. So if you prefer a slower, more gentle massage they can do that too! left feeling renewed and refreshed! And plan to visit again. Super convenient Ballard location with easy parking. This is a repost of a review that I wrote last year, with a few edits for updates. The reason for…read morethe repost is that this business has recently changed its name, so I wanted to help by leaving my review under the new business name: I received 4 massages from Joe last year (2021). I felt comfortable around him right away, which helped me to relax. One thing that I definitely noticed is that there was very little chit chat during the first massage. Just a little brief chit chat here and there. I appreciated that not only because Joe wasn't too chatty (he and I did chat a little bit here and there, though, which was nice), but because I have received massage from over 70 massage therapists in the Seattle area over the past 20 years, and there are very few therapists that I feel comfortable enough with during the FIRST session to not feel at all compelled to chat with the therapist quite a bit during my massage. I usually want to know who is massaging me! I get curious about the person!! Haha. I can honestly say I've never received massages quite like the massages that I received from Joe. I enjoyed some interesting stretches, some neck work that felt very needed, and some great mid-to-low-back bodywork. Part of my Deep Lomi Style massage was done with me positioned side-lying - my favorite position in which to receive massage. I had checked in advance with Joe via e-mail about his safety procedures, and they're sound. He was able to leave the window open (at my request) during my massages, and he had an air purifier going also. He wore a mask for the entire duration of the intakes, the massages, and the check-outs. The music was soft, not too loud or intrusive, and it provided a lovely background noise. The lighting was perfect for me, I prefer the lighting to be slightly darker in the massage room since it's more relaxing for me that way. Joe checked in about the level of pressure, and he was very open and responsive to my feedback - which he strongly encouraged me to give - about level of pressure, position of my body and head on the table, preference for bolstering, any areas to avoid or go lightly on, type of oil used, and anything else that made the massage experience truly special. I felt that Joe went above and beyond to make sure that I felt cared for and attended to. Usually when I review a massage therapist here on yelp, I explain that I graduated from Port Townsend School of Massage in 2016 - however, I have never practiced massage professionally, since my life ended up going in a different direction at that time. So, I know a bit more about massage therapy than someone who doesn't have this particular educational background. I enjoyed my massages with Massage Reimagined Magnolia, I would receive massage from Joe again, and I would highly recommend this business to anyone who wants a truly unique and special massage experience.

SAFETY WARNING: Verbal consent & medical disclosures ignored for disabled client during massage…read more Session Details: October 3rd at 3:00 PM | Room 2 | Thin, blonde female therapist Before our session began, I explicitly disclosed to the therapist that I have fibromyalgia and had recently thrown my back out. During the session, the massage became dangerously aggressive, including hard, punching movements up and down my shins. She called this "a little bit of Eastern medicine," something I never signed up for nor consented too. She did accupressure on the bottom of my left foot, which I also did not sign up for nor consent too and when I got to the car I was limping on that foot from pain to get in. I explicitly told her she was hurting me four separate times, even hissing in pain the last time. Instead of stopping or reducing pressure, she ignored my boundaries entirely, telling me, "I thought you needed it" and "You're so sensitive." She directly ignored client needs for her own preference and blamed me for the harm she was causing. Continuing painful pressure after a client repeatedly asks you to stop is a severe violation of physical consent. As an ambulatory wheelchair user and neurodivergent individual in a vulnerable position, I went into shock, freeze, and fawning just to survive the session. I cried on the table in agony, tense and being hurt repeatedly, hoping it would end soon. I was unable to report it safely to front-desk staff before leaving because I was in shock and survival mode. After looking at reviews it probably wouldn't have mattered as front desk staff seems to be a huge red flag as well. I was just trying to be easy and non-problematic as possible so we could leave. Being in a wheelchair while in shock, I couldn't remove myself independently. This is an extremely terrifying situation to be in. My family had to wheel me out, unaware of what happened until I broke down in tears and had a panic attack on the way home. I am in severe physical pain and having panic attacks (going on day two) as a result. This was in no way healing; it was traumatic. If you have chronic pain, a disability, or simply expect a therapist who respects client consent and basic physical boundaries, please be extremely cautious.
