A big part of me doesn't want to share this place because it was just that awesome! After scoping it out while my sister was having her infusion, I decided to take her there for lunch and I'm so glad I did. From the moment we walked in we both started drooling! I have a love for any and all things bread and a sweet tooth the size of my body and this place satisfied both. From their almond croissants to the tiramisu muffins (which are all massive and shareable unless you're greedy like me) every bite was pure heaven. You can literally taste the love of baking in everything they offer. We had 4 different empanadas, the cream cheese croissant and took over $55.00 worth of assorted muffins and empanadas home to boot! This place is so worth the trip, but fair warning you will be hooked!

I walked over to this little place after leaving my doc because I needed a treat. It's a tiny little place with about three tables. There's not a broad menu, but enough options to be interesting. I tried the strawberry crème croissant (pictured) and a pack of madeleines. It's counter service. Make sure your language skills are up to par, because the lady I interacted with was limited in English.

I really hate when a business does bait and switch advertising. I hate it even more when I have to drive a long distance just to find out that I'm not getting what I'm supposed to be getting. Some friends had suggested this location because they were participating in the Eat Drink HTX program benefitting the Houston Food Bank and a local children's charity. For those who aren't familiar, it's like Houston Restaurant Weeks but with more casual venues and lower price points. Anyway, we show up to the Cafe, which is a beautiful little spot tucked away in a shopping center. They're clearly not set up for something like EatDrinkHTX, since they only have three small tables and don't seem capable of serving any kind of crowd for multiple courses. The employees are used to counter service, which is fine, but also not conducive to the concept that they were participating in. When we went up to order, the lady seemed confused, because I ordered each course and before I was done the total was already over the $15 price point. She clearly didn't know about the price fixe concept or how the event is supposed to bring in people to try somewhere they normally wouldn't. She basically refused to honor the Eat Drink HTX deal and told us to pick fewer items that added up to $15, which completely defeats the point of the program. I'm guessing she was a manager, because we asked if she could honor what she advertised and she repeatedly referenced talking to "them" about whether she could honor the deal, but then never actually did so. We decided that we weren't paying $22 per meal for something advertised for $15/meal and went elsewhere for brunch instead.

Randomly stopped in at this beautiful bakery. @temptationsbite has a great selection of items. Everything looked so delicious. I ordered the Almond Croissant and the Guava Bread. I was intrigued by the guava bread, and it did not disappoint, moist bread like a dense cake which tasted like guavas. we also enjoyed the almond croissant as well. It's definitely a great little spot. I highly recommend it.

I was craving croissants so I stopped by this place after I picked up some coffee next door. There are a few loaves of breads on the shelves and pastries in the case up front. There are refrigerators with frozen bread dough so you can buy and bake at home. The pasties though.... They were fantastic! Creative flavors and so tasty! I got several croissants and a bread cup (basically a bread roll baked in a cupcake tin so it's a cake shape). Prices were on the higher end. Croissants were $7+. I picked up the Lemon Pie Croissant, Pain Au Chocolat with Almond, Orange Coconut Cupbread, Tres Leches Croissant, and a Pain Au Chocolates. The croissants were buttery and flaky and the fillings is the various flavors were messy but addicting. The Tres Leches had a plastic squeeze tube in it and I realized it was so you could squeeze the milky filling into the croissant before you eat it. Looks like a chemistry experiment, but very clever idea from keeping the croissant too soggy. Highly recommend this place for the pastries. I'm actually thinking about it now and wish I could go back for more. I would have loved to try the bread but don't have room to haul a loaf home! Next time!!

Finally got to try this place out after passing by it so many times!! Fully exceeded all my expectations! The chicken empanada had a generous amount of filling and was served with a side of sauce- you can choose between the spicy or green sauce. We opted for the green sauce, and it paired so well with the empanada. Also used the leftover sauce on the cachito, which was good, but I couldn't really taste the bacon. The tres leches croissant was HUGE. The cream on top had the consistency of marshmallow fluff. Didn't really taste like tres leches, but it was still yummy and wasn't overly sweet! Croissant was crispy on the outside and buttery and extra flaky on the inside. They have coffee but no flavored syrups. They sell empanadas and cachitos in packs in the refrigerator section, and they have other breads to browse on their shelves. Seating is minimal, and parking is plenty for the most part but can be packed depending on the time of day. You can get your sweet and savory cravings satisfied here!! Service was relatively friendly and quick. Will definitely be back!!!

Ricotta spinach empanada - 8.5/10 Nutella bread - 9/10 - $3.30 Cinnamon roll cupbread - 8.5/10 - $4.20 Pistachio croissant - 8/10 - $7.30 Tres leches croissant - 9/10 - $7 Flat croissant - 8/10 I love bakeries so I was excited to try this one, especially because they make their breads fresh daily I really liked their nutella bread and tres leches croissant. Everything was lightly sweet, not overly sweet. I would recommend if youre in the area and craving some fresh baked goods

A small bakery that is worth the drive! There are limited seats in the store, and the bakery has a warm and inviting ambience. There were many loaves of fresh bread to choose from the shelves. All of them looked super good. I bought some cupbreads and they were had the same fluffiness and texture of croissants. My favorite was the sugar cupbread because of the texture contrast, and the combination of bread and sugar was perfect. The parking lot isn't big but there are 10mins parking spots in front of the store.

    Cruffin...my favorite!
    Angie M.

I swung by this place while getting coffee nearby, and I'm so glad I did. I'm not big on crabs and sweets but I was hungry. I grabbed and beef empanada with mild sauce and had to add a cruffin out of curiosity. What an amazing surprise! The empanada was outstanding and so was the sauce. The cruffin was not to sweet but just enough. Light fluffy and delicious

3.5 stars! A cozy neighborhood bakery with a warm, welcoming vibe and kind staff. The croissants are huge and definitely filling, though they're on the heavier, doughier side instead of the light, flaky layers you might hope for. So far, some of the best croissants in town can be found at Magnol French Baking. Cappuccino was pretty mild, leaning more toward creamy milk with just a hint of coffee flavor, which some might enjoy if they prefer a softer brew. The sourdough bread is decent, but if you're after a more classic, crusty sourdough, you might have better luck at Magnol, Badolina, or even Whole Foods.

    Chicken Empanadas & Spinach/Artichoke Quiche
    Nicole L.

Nice small bakery with fresh and frozen foods. Service was very friendly and offered a sample of their strawberry sourdough bread. It was soft and fresh laced with their homemade strawberry jam. I got a spinach artichoke quiche, chicken empanada, Nutella cruffin, palmiers and a latte. I couldn't wait to get home to try my quiche but when I cut into it, it seemed like it was not quite done in the middle. The presentation of that cruffin is super cute. Eating it on the other hand, not so cute lol. It's so good, rich with Nutella. VERY flaky! The palmiers were everything I wanted them to be (except BIGGER, hehe). I would also pass on the latte/coffee next time.

Now we actually go there about once every two weeks because we love it that much and I look forward to opening the front doors and smelling the sweet smell of baked goods Recently we also found out that they have cheese & sausage kolaches, and oh my gosh, they are delicious. They are really, really good and were such a nice surprise when we tried them. The location closest to us is the one on Airline Drive, and we usually go in the afternoon so we can avoid the after-work crowd. That time of day works really well for us because there aren't too many people, which makes it easier to grab bread and look around without feeling rushed. The ordering process is pretty quick and simple. You grab your metal tray and tongs, open each little door, pick what you want, and put it on the tray.
