We had a pretty great experience with Advanced Air this summer…read more ISSUE was our Lennox unit's A Coil, which apparently has a manufacturer defect that causes the coils to corrode over time. We had it brand new about 6-7 years ago, and it had to be replaced under warranty. Even so, the labor isn't free, only the part is free... and the labor is where the industry gets you. PRICE was a fair deal all around. It wasn't dirt cheap, but it was fair market expectations (we did shop around). Other places wanted to charge us simply for confirming the problem we already had diagnosed (in writing); these guys didn't. And another fairly reputable place, Morris-Jenkins, wanted to charge nearly twice the amount these guys did. TIME/SCHEDULING was fair. Morris-Jenkins told us they wouldn't be able to source the A Coil for a few months, whereas these guys did confirm they worked warranty services for Lennox and were able to source it within about a week and a half. COMMUNICATION was pretty good. The first time we messaged, they answered right away and gave us a call to schedule a look-see that day. And on that same day, we got an ETA on estimate and parts (the estimate seemed to take a little longer because they had to confirm the warrantied part before sending us documents). They're good with texting as well, which works great for our household. THEIR WORK looks solid so far. They came in and kept things fairly tidy, troubleshot issues on the spot, communicated what they needed, and after a few hours of labor they had everything running again. It's been a couple days now and the AC is actually running cold enough we had to raise the temp a little lol. OVERALL, usually we feel near cheated when dealing with HVAC situations - they're not a cheap thing to fix, especially during this economy. However these guys seem to be straight shooters and we would be happy to work with them again in future. Definitely recommend.

Just the facts- they had great pricing, and did a good job installing (I thought). A couple months…read moreafter install, we had a serious leak from the attic unit- it caused $1,500 damage to our ceiling. Advanced came out and fixed it-though they did were unclear whether it was caused by a bad install, or faulty equipment. If bad install- they should own up to it and cover damage, or at least have the discussion. If it was equipment then they should have had a discussion with the manufacturer. What did they do? Nothing. Never responded to my multiple calls. This all could have been resolved with a conversation about who is liable after damage is done due to their installation. Great pricing, but make sure you factor in the cost of potential damage to your home.

I initially reached out for a refrigerator water line install and dishwasher water line install as well as a quote on new pipe hangers and shower, toilet, and sink install which I told the receptionist when booking . Fast forward and plumber came out put in a line for refrigerator and said dishwasher couldn't be installed until sink was installed. I was charged over $300 for work and never received a quote for other work. After calling back twice inquiring , I finally got called back to say I was too far away for big jobs.

We had an emergency and our unit wasn't working, so I searched for 24 hr companies to come out because it was late and the other company's technician was dramatic and shady, telling us things were far worse than they were, was dishonest, and tried to get us to sign up for their subscription before even coming out and then wanted to sell us a $15-$20K replacement unit, which we didn't even need yet. We will ONLY trust Hodge and learned that you can call after hours and if they are available will come out because someone is on call and if not, you will be put into the queue for first thing the next morning. On November 21, 2021, Putnam Mechanical, from Mooresville, NC, installed a Lennox HVAC system, at…read moremy business, Sweet Cakes Bakery. I have attached the copy of the contract. The contract drafted by Putnam contained an error in the model number of the air conditioner and a fraudulent representation that the unit included a "one-year parts and labor warranty and ten-year manufacturer's warranty". We relied on the ten-year manufacturer warranty when we decided to use Putnam to install a Lennox unit. We never received any paperwork for the unit, such as warranty, installation/instruction guide, or registration form. In fact, we could not register the unit with Lennox because the unit number in the contract is incorrect. It was not until the unit stopped working, in July of 2024, and Putnam refused to service the unit, that we hired another HVAC company. The new HVAC company took a photo of the actual unit model no. which is TSA036S4N44Y. We registered the unit with Lennox after learning the correct model number and clearly could see there was never any warranty on the unit. When we contacted Putnam regarding the broken system, we were instructed to call any other HVAC company to honor the warranty (Putnam manager and owner knows there is no warranty). We called 2 HVAC companies to get estimates for repair. Both well known reputable companies, stated in their estimate that Putnam did NOT install the proper 3/8 inch line for the refrigerant. Putnam used an undersized liquid refrigerant line which damaged the thermal valve. The pressure resulting from the undersized line directly cause the A/C system failure. We are a small business, struggling to survive. Putnam's use of the undersized refrigerant line (which should have been 3/8" per the Lennox installation guide), AND Putnam fraudulently leading us to rely on a nonexistent 10-year manufacturer warranty need to be rectified. If I were to be gracious with their mistake, you could say Putnam "may have" accidentally entered the incorrect model number in the contract, but the statement of the "one year parts and labor warranty and ten-year manufacturer's warranty" is clearly a fraudulent statement used to convince us to use their services over their competitors. Due to Putnam's fraud and incompetence our unit was damaged. If you want to spend thousands of dollars on an HVAC unit, only for it to last less than 3 years and have to spend even more money to fix negligent work or to get an entirely new system, Putnam is the way to go for sure. For the cherry on top, their owner, Michael Fortin, will speak to you directly on the phone and repeat the lies in their contract verbatim to really double down on their fraudulent practices. So if you'd like someone to lie to your face, choose Putnam! Otherwise, I'd look elsewhere.
