Cool Tech (Randy) provided my wife and me with excellent customer service in the past, which prompted us to write a favorable review five years ago (Brwnblk R). However, about two years ago, we informed Randy that we were canceling our priority maintenance agreement, and he assured us that we would receive a refund. Despite countless follow-up phone calls and messages to both Randy and Jeremiah, our concerns have gone unanswered. The lack of communication, failure to issue the promised refund, and overall unethical practices have been extremely disappointing. What once was a positive relationship has unfortunately turned sour, prompting this negative review. I urge other consumers to seek alternative recommendations for heating and air services. Unethical business practices like these should be avoided at all costs. Marion B.

Stout has been out several times and the unit is still now fixed. Most of their technicians are very polite and knowledgeable. Today a very rude technician told me the unit is working fine, and no unit can cool a home when it's 90 degrees out. Funny, he should tell that to the people in Phoenix! I told him the unit ran all night, to which he stated, " it's hot at night too". It was 75 degrees last night. When I called to complain to the owner he dismissed me and told me that "this isn't between our company and you, it's between you and the landlord". He could careless that his technician was rude to someone. I recorded the conversation and he didn't even want to hear it. Before leaving, he…read moreinformed both my sister and me that he was unable to fully assess the systems due to the extreme heat and suggested that we contact him if there were any issues. At that time, the air conditioning inside the home was working. Shortly afterward, we both left the property because our family member, who owns the home, had been hospitalized after suffering a stroke. I returned to the home on Thursday, July 9, 2026, and discovered significant water leaking from the ceiling. Initially, I assumed the damage was related to the heavy rainstorms that occurred on July 5 and July 9. A locksmith who was at the home asked whether the leak might be coming from the HVAC system, but at that point I did not believe it was. I immediately contacted a roofing company, and they arrived the same evening. Although they found some roof-related issues, they determined that the major leak causing water to pour onto the floor and actively leak from the ceiling was located directly beneath the HVAC unit. I was informed that the HVAC drain line could be clogged and that, if the unit had not been properly inspected and cleared during servicing, condensation could have accumulated and caused substantial water damage. I immediately contacted Chris. He stated that he could not return for two days and came back on Saturday, July 11, 2026. After I explained the situation, he advised that he had fixed the issue. However, when the roofers returned, they found additional water damage and active leaking. By that time, the ceiling had become saturated and was beginning to collapse, requiring portions of it to be cut out and removed. Chris then stated: (1) that he could not come out that day, (2) that he was only there to fix the air conditioning and that it was working with no water issues when he left, and (3) that he had completed the job several weeks earlier. These statements were concerning because he had actually serviced the units only four days before I returned to the property and because he had specifically told both my sister and me that he would need to come back and complete additional checks that he was unable to perform on July 4. It is important to note that I do not live in this home, and the homeowner remains hospitalized following a stroke. I paid Chris $600 to service two HVAC systems. As a result of this experience, I have been left dealing with missing ceilings, water-damaged flooring, and thousands of dollars in repairs. I subsequently contacted another HVAC professional who expressed shock that the drain lines and potential clogs had not been thoroughly inspected. What began as a routine service call turned into an emergency situation that resulted in extensive property damage. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company and strongly encourage others to seek a licensed, thorough, and professional HVAC service provider. RUN!!! out of thousands of dollars and no way to explain this to my friend in the hospital...
