At this point, I honestly feel like there is very little effort being put into completing my home…read moreproperly. If I were to break down everything that was originally discussed, what I was given the option to select, and what has actually been done, I have a hard time understanding why I wasn't simply allowed to make the choices that I originally wanted.
From the beginning, I was given options regarding the flooring, cabinets, and countertops. When I asked whether the living room, hallway, and back room could have the same flooring, I was initially told that it would be fine. I was also given options for the kitchen cabinets and countertops. I selected the Maple Oakwood cabinets, and the picture I was shown had black marble-style countertops. To be clear, they were black--not dark gray, charcoal gray, or midnight gray. They looked similar to the countertops currently in the kitchen, but they were specifically black.
As the project progressed, the living room was left with the existing vinyl flooring, just different styles, while the hallway, back room, and third room were completed with the same flooring. Yet different from The living room. The back room originally had carpet, but instead of installing carpet, the flooring was changed to match the hallway and other room. I am actually very happy with how that flooring looks, and I have no issue with it.
What I do not understand is why, after allowing the flooring to be changed in those areas, I was then told that the living room could not have the same flooring because they had to follow what my policy approved and could not create a mismatch. From my perspective, there is already a mismatch because the living room was left with vinyl while the surrounding areas were given The same flooring.
If the decision was going to be based strictly on what the policy approved, then I don't understand why I was originally given options and allowed to make selections regarding these materials. I simply wanted the same flooring extended into the living room so the home would have a consistent appearance.
This entire process has been extremely frustrating. I have tried to be patient and cooperative throughout the project, even when after I had came home to check the improvement in my home and come to find out that somebody was rubbishing through my room and my personal belongings. After everybody was well informed not to go into the back room to the right on top of them, not only covering my living room camera, but turned off all my camera system and unplugging them. But the way everything has been handled has left me highly disappointed. At this point, this has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever encountered.
