I was on hold for over 30 min trying to get an appointment for a patient and when Joanna answered the call,she was soo rude through the whole appointment process . If she doesn't like her job she should find another one because customer service and professionalism is very important when you answer the phone , especially when people wait so long for someone to answer. I'm a 65-year-old man suffering from multiple sclerosis and I'm not able to travel. I was told by his front office that the Doctor No longer does TeleMed/telehealth which is a violation of the ADA look it up they get paid the same fee by Medicare/Medi-Cal for in office visits and or telehealth TeleMed look it up. I have never met and had to deal with the most inept front office in my life. Compassion is vacant from everyone who works there. Dr. Maggie and Dr. Christina have been my primary doctors for many years. I enjoy quality, personable treatment in which the doctors have related to the ever changing needs of a woman through my healthy forties into the roller coaster ride of perimenopause. Dr. Maggie, whom I see most often, orders labs and specialist referrals easily. She, then meticulously reviews the reports in order to support me in finding a plan of action. The office staff is quick and persistent to schedule follow-up visits as needed. Huge shoutout to the wonderful, extensively trained Physician Assistants! They are kind, caring, and very knowledgeable. I could go on for days writing this review because being healthy means EVERYTHING. This practice is severely outdated and even with my PPO they still demand referrals, to their own doctors . It's just a ploy to force you into multiple appointments. My insurance allows me to see specialists anytime I feel without any other medical consultation or documents. I think my heart feels weird, I go see a cardiologist first off with no other appointments. This practice doesn't allow that. It wants multiple office visits to fleece you for extra money to offset their failing antiquated business model. Their patient portal is even worse . It's actually embarrassingly outdated and useless. Now let's move on to their incompetent front desk staff. Gave me a request for consultation with a business card stapled to the form with a clearly written appointment date and time. When I show up for said appointment they tell me it was missed as it was scheduled for two weeks prior. This is laughable at best and walked out because there is no explaining to this incompetent staff. Literally useless. Then to reschedule I had to wait over an hour on the phone. And it would take a month to even get another appointment. Guess what, the request for consultation had to be redone since "I" missed the appointment . You can't even make this shit up! So I rescheduled but I won't show up. I've already gotten another appointment at a new doctor's office and the appointment is sooner so why even bother. I've been a patient with this practice for years. I just did register for their patient portal. I wanted to find out results from some recent procedures from referrals. Nothing is in there.The portal is a joke. It is not up to date, has out of date lab information, and the site looks like someone from the 1980's, using their Macintosh computer, put this together in their parents' basement. It's primitive and useless. I've talked to several friends and family and the portals from their doctor's office are up to date and filled with all appropriate medical information. I've taken thyroid medication for 23 years, and he depends on blood-pressure and cholesterol meds. We've always kept up with every visit and lab. When our insurance briefly lapsed, we called to ask for a short bridge refill -- just a couple of weeks of my medication until coverage resumed. We even offered to pay out of pocket. The response was a cold, flat no. No empathy. No flexibility. No concern for my health or history. Instead, I was told to go pay another clinic for an office visit to get the same prescription they could have easily sent to my pharmacy. What kind of medical office refuses a longtime patient a simple bridge refill? Stopping thyroid medication after 23 years isn't just uncomfortable -- it's dangerous. My body no longer makes this hormone, so going without it even a few days can throw everything off: heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, energy, and mood and can lead to severe, even life-threatening complications. After a decade of loyalty, that refusal showed me everything I needed to know. This office is a high-volume billing factory, a churn-and-burn outfit focused on insurance money, not genuine patient care. The staff's tone matches the system -- brisk, dismissive, and sometimes downright rude. And this isn't our first serious concern. My daughter was given incorrect thyroid doses multiple times, including one prescription that was almost double what she should have been taking. They completely neglect people with anxiety, they make appointments for you without your approval and refuse to allow you to cancel the appointments, therefore trapping you in an infinite loop. Combs and his staff are fraudulent in nature and care more about appearance than actual care with their commercials and stuff. They refused to refill my Athsma inhaler after I told them I was uncomfortable with not being able to cancel appointments I never made and threatened to cease care with me if I didn't go to the appointment. HORRIBLE!!! After being a patient here for several years this office has gone downhill. No one ever answers the phones and appointments are ridiculously long and unhelpful. When I was actually sick and needed help, they wouldn't let me in the office and treated me like a lepor. Today was the last straw. Dr. Combs office canceled my 4/19 appointment due to a staff meeting. They called twice to reschedule while I was working and could not answer. If I called back, they don't answer the phone. Today they called my emergency contact, my elderly mother, and put her in a complete panic by telling them they couldn't get ahold of me. I appreciate the other girl - I believe she told Anida my dilemma. This afternoon Anida calls me back and apologizes for the miscommunication and that they could try to make it work. YESTERDAY-Let's time stamp this review before this ball gets rolling. My mom is a patient, now a former patient. She received a bill for 134.08, no big deal, right? My mom is spanish speaking. I told her to call the number on the bill and explain to them that you have secondary insurance. My mom spoke to Gina S. She is extremely rude. My mom asked for someone in spanish. Gina said there was no one to help her. Continued to be rude, told my mom she needed to come to the office to give them the card. Then hung up. I get home from work, mom explains to me what happened and how she was treated. Called the billing department, and they were already gone for the day. Spoke to a really nice lady named Joanna, explained the situation. Mind you, all calls are recorded. Joanna did her best, and apologized for Gina's behavior. Joanna stated she was going to ask Dulce (management) to pull the call and have Dulce call me back. No problem. Now today. Waited until 2:49PM to call the office back. Joanna was in a meeting, got transferred to billing dept. Surprisingly Gina answered. Explained the situation, she confirmed she was the person that took the phone call from my mom. Her first response was "she never asked for spanish" then " if she spoke spanish her chart would be flagged spanish only" wrong answer! Joanna confirmed yesterday that the chart clearly says SPANISH SPEAKING. longer story cut a bit shorter.. Gina Continued to cut me off as I was speaking. Then, I asked if the company she works for was Temecula Valley family physicians or an independent contractor billing for them she would not give me an answer. (Some MDs do that) asked again, and then she hung up on me. Attempted to call back and you guessed it... No Answer. I'm sure my mom will get a letter from Temecula Valley discharging her as a patient in a few days. Keep your eldery away from this company. Some don't have people to advocate for them. People on fixed SSI get frighten and just pay bills without knowing the laws. Unfortunately because Gina would not tell me if in fact she worked for TVFP. They will get this review.. Changing doctors is almost like moving to a city. We lost our medical coverage and had to find a plan through the CA Coverage. That was tough enough but jeez it gets harder trying to find a doctor that takes the company and type of policy you have. We got a referral to Dr Curtis Combs from another doctor who was not taking new patients. We were able to get appointments for both me and my wife together on the same day....same time. So that worked out and was easy enough. We wanted to come in and just have a meet and greet with the doctor and do a minimum check up and voice our medical concerns. The office visit went pretty smooth. Dr Combs spent adequate time with us but left the exam room for 10-15 minutes and came back. That was a little weird, it seems more efficient to finish with us and then go on. I'm hoping to build a relationship that is lasting with Dr Combs and his staff. Dr Curtiss Combs is a wonderful Doctor. He's very attentive and listens to you. After going thru 5 other Dr offices, I'm finally settled here. I trust him and that's big for me. He may at times be rushed as he has many other patients to see but he still remains thorough. He doesn't hesitate to send you to a specialist if needed. (I have several autoimmune diseases w/6 specialists). I also see Dr Maggie most of the time and she is amazing. So kind and again listens to you. Very professional and caring . She has brought me thru a few urgency's. I feel safe with her. She's always informed and up to date from my specialists (6) before she comes into the room with me. When I leave I know I'll be ok. My wife now has the beginnings of Dimentia which I believe has been caused by the continual urinary infections that she's been getting. Throughout the process we've been seeing an NP Maggie Barnard, We had seen a doctor who left the practice a couple of years ago. We have never seen Dr. Curtis Combs. Having seen this going on for years, I tried to get my wife to find a practice of doctors who can really help her. She refused. On July 19th, we had an an appointment, again, for the same reason. We were there for a very long time, but sometimes that goes with the territory. After testing her urine and verifying a another UTI, NP Maggie Barnard, known as Dr. Maggie, decided to send her to an infectious disease clinic. I could not get the clinic on the phone to make the appointment. However, after many calls, I finally got a person on July 23rd, and she checked, BUT NONE OF THE PROPER INFORMATION HAD BEEN FORWARDED TO THEM, hence, no appointment could be made. Well, I now call back Temecula Valley Phycians and I get the voicemail, since nobody ever answers there anyway. Debrah, I believe her to be Office Manager, but not sure, calls me back and says that Dr, Maggie hasn't made out her chart yet. It takes her several days!!!!!! Here my wife, is on antibiotics to prevent her from going into the ER and she still hasn't finished her chart or sent the necessary info to the infectious disease unit. Just a lack of caring about my wife or her needs. MY POINT IS DON'T GO TO THESE PROVIDERS BECAUSE THEY ARE BASICALLY TERRIBLE. I'd give the a ZERO except that's not an option here. read more

The staff is horrible about calling you back. They prescribe me a completely wrong medication that I told them I could not have because of having a severe heart condition and they sent the prescription that I specifically said I couldn't have to the pharmacist to fill for me. It's a very dangerous and serious situation when they're sending the wrong medication to a heart patient to take. I have a thyroid condition.and they sent in the wrong medication for me. I called their office two days in a row with no return call. My pharmacy reached out to them with no return call. They also fax them with no return call. This office has a hot mess. Every time I go there to have my prescription refilled they say they will send it in and I have to go through the same situation every time with calling their office because they never send it to my pharmacy. I've never wanted to, but this is a very serious malpractice situation. And for some reason, I can't get the office manager or or anyone to call me back. read more

Dr. Curtis Coombs has been my Primary Care Physician since 2018. Today he came in after review of my Lab results and took the time to pray for me. My lab results were all normal except for except my PSA level that jumped 1 point. By following his advice on diet and excersie, he can't believe that I am 70 years old and have the T level of an 18-year-old man. He would like to schedule a colposcopy, which declined. I will deal with the Prostate cancer only. I think it is nice to have a Dr. that worries about your Spiritual Health along with the Physical. His staff is always kind and I never wait more than 5 minutes when I arrive. read more

I tried both of the approved Urgent Care offices, Apple Urgent Care and Alliance. Both literally had patients overflowing into the lobby and parking lot. Lots of sick people. I called Dr. Combs office to see if I could possibly get in to see someone and was told that they are restricting the number of in office visits, and all they could offer me was a telephone visit. Are they kidding me? Are they going to examine my ear over the phone??? Outrageous! All the while, Dr. Curtis Combs is seen doing commercials on TV (the Game Channel) hawking his practice for more business! He won't even take care of an existing patient. Chris is professional, friendly and just a good person. ** Warning: this will be a lengthy review but trust me, it's worth the read. (Especially if you are looking for a new physician). If I could give negative stars I would. ** My family and I have been with Dr. Combss for over 20 years. Physicals, check ups, illnesses... you name it, we have probably been there for it. Needless to say, we have seen this company grow and change into this capitalizing atrocity. I remember being excited as a kid to go to the doctor and see our "Family Physician." But not anymore. Nothing about this place is family oriented and their patients are just another dollar sign walking through the door. Scheduling an annual check up is harder than pulling teeth. For the last three years I have tried to set up an appointment and each time I was told that I would have to wait a minimum of one to two months. (As parents know, school schedules and work schedules don't always align with one or two months out for an appointment). This year alone, I have been sick (almost to the point of death) twice... starting out with a common cold. Unto which, I tried to set up a visit with my doctor, but they told me they had no availability and to wait it out a few weeks with over the counter medicine. Well... walking pneumonia developed, I had fluid filling my lungs oh and I had an extremely rare case of Strep that was one day away from having me hooked up to a machine for life. All because they couldn't "fit me in" to give me basic antibiotics in the beginning stages. Another horror story is, my mom is in a wheelchair and had a 730am appointment. She arrived and the elevator had not been turned on. She tried to call the office and no one answered. She then went to the physical therapist office located downstairs and they tried calling the receptionist as well. No answer. Unfortunately the physical therapist had a patient and had to go, but my mom stayed at the bottom of the stairs, calling the office for the next thirty minutes until 8am. No answer. She was forced to take the twenty feet of stairs. She scooted up each stair, dragging her wheelchair up behind her until she reached the top. One man saw her and was FUMING mad. They looked inside and someone was sitting at the front desk, not answering the phone. If those horror stories, don't paint a picture for you, maybe this will. Two days ago they couldn't get a hold of my father to reschedule his appointment so they got a hold of me. (Unto which my dad had to rearrange his schedule to come in earlier because they overbooked themselves AGAIN). Then today, we received registered letters for each one of our family members, stating that they're dropping my entire family because "over time things change." This letter was post marked from the same day my father had that appointment. I have so many horror stories from painful things we have endured over the years, ones in which I'm sure the ADA would love to hear. If I have one word of advice: don't trust them with yours or your families life. It's terrifying to look back and see how close to death I really was. All because my doctor was too booked to fit me in for a "common cold." And the way they have treated my family over the last few years, is so wrong! This office simply does not care about their patients. The doctors do not listen to their patients concerns and walk out on you after 3 minutes. I came in with a blood pressure of 159/90 and serious medical concerns and was not treated fairly. The doctors didn't even bring up my blood pressure or the concerns I specifically came in to talk about and left the room as fast as they came in. I have had to call the doctor back in to the room 2 times now on separate occasions. If you're looking for a doctor who will take the time to listen to you and care for you, this is definitely not it. I got transferred over to Dr. William Vincent about a month ago.my doctor retired. I called and called and called the first time to get an appointment. No luck. They said Mondays were always busy. Great! I've no donated 2 hours of my day. So here we are this Monday Feb 5th, 2023. I got up early having a difficult time swallowing. i called the Dr's office at 8:30 but no answer. I have been going to Dr. Curtiss for regular check-ups fine since I was a high schooler. And now that I'm out of college, things just changed. When I made an appointment to get referrals for therapists/psychologists + getting a regular checkup and a pap smear, I was given questions and they had me talk about my anxiety issues for about an hour. What I didn't know, is that this is to stall me from going home and calling AMR to pick me up because they believe I was a danger to other people. So, AMR picked me up, dropped me off 2 min. away at the hospital (Expensive, short ride?). I asked for the bill before they did anything. And they didn't do or answer my request. Dont know how much or anything. Kept me cooped up for 9 hours in the hospital without any explanations, answers, and procedures. No doctors open to just evaluate at all. The blood test took a long time but I dont know what it has to do with my anxiety. But since I said I used to have suicidal thoughts, they basically said your rights are taken away for anything and you are not permitted to go home otherwise. So they wouldn't let me home until someone nearby can pick me up or else they put me in the stupid patients room and may even charge me more through my insurance for letting me sleep there! Oh! And they said this will be confidential towards family, friends, and other hospitals. However, they blabbed out all the details of my struggles to my mother. Unprofessional! And now I have more burden on my hands with the family that I have to force myself to explain about! Will not be going there! They just put you through unnecessary protocols, made you wait 9 hours for nothing but blood and final evaluations even if you have to be caged and be treated like a wild animal! No thank you! I absolutely Love Maggie but if you want an appointment this office will never answer the phone even if its 4 women working at the front desk . I literally had to drive there to change an appointment. The staff will send referral back unsigned and get mad if you let them know. I literally called ever hour just to see if anyone would answer the phone until I just went to up there. I asked the front desk could I leave a message for the Maggie it's been a week now no response and I just needed a suggestion NOT a referral because I have a PPO. I know that everything is about money and I need the office to realize that human interaction is important when you work at a doctors office. My daughter was switched over to this office due to a change in her insurance in March. You first saw Dr Shaw and she is wonderful . Then we saw Dr Sanders and he's also wonderful. Very attentive, willing to help compassionate. Then a few weeks ago neither one of them were available so my daughter saw Dr Maggie Bernard . Things seem to go well at first and we thought this lady was going to help my daughter who has some pretty severe medical conditions such as pots and gastroparesis which causes chronic abdominal pain and inability to eat . She's lost over 40 lb since Mother's Day . We are working closely with many specialists for these issues as well. A few months ago for some reason my daughter started getting thrush . First we were told it was because she has to take Prilosec for some of her stomach issues then we were told it's an immune system problem and probably from autoimmune . Either way the thrush is not going away completely therefore she has needed to have a prescription of Nystatin filled a couple of times. At first Dr Bernard filled the prescription and then we were told that she would only fill the prescription again if we got in to see rheumatology so we made the appointment for Rheumatology and we were told that they would fill the prescription to keep treating the thrush to bridge the time until it took to get to see rheumatology. Well I don't know what happened yesterday but my daughter went in there and I couldn't take her so her friend had to take her and my daughter was treated like absolute trash. She waited an hour to see the doctor and then she only came in and saw her for a couple of minutes, was completely rude almost blaming my daughter for her health conditions and said that if her stomach pain was that bad she needed to go to the ER . We've been there about 16 times all they do is give an IV and say follow up with your primary. So on top of my daughter living in severe pain and unfortunately needing her wheelchair more and more barely able to sleep or eat because of the pain now she's dealing with this Doctor Who is not very compassionate and refused to fill the Nystatin . Very irresponsible in my opinion to let thresh go untreated as it can spread and become systemic. She almost treated my daughter as if she's doing something that's causing the thrush which I can guarantee you she's not. She's never used drugs she's never smoked or drank or done any thing she was unfortunately stricken with pots about 7 years ago and it has been a challenge and now 6 months ago all the sudden she can't eat food and she's having all these health problems . We will still keep going to the office because the other two providers do care and I think they are trying to help but , it's like a bait and switch with Dr Bernard I'm not impressed and I did file a formal complaint against her . My daughter left their hysterically crying and the visit just broke her . She cried off and on all day because of the way she was treated . read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Combs for the past 10 years. I have so much faith in the practice, I sent my father, and both my mother and father in law to him. I have watched his practice grow since I started there and things only got better. This office works together as a team and that includes everyone. I have never experienced such efficiency, care and and compasion at any other doctors office. They also keep track of all your specialists to make sure they are taking as good a care of you as they are. I have my favorites, Mark, Tracy, Dr. Vincent, but they are all amazing. I called another doctors office once, they told me they would call me back in 24-48 hours, seriously! Dr Comb's office answers the phone, everytime. TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! First off, I called as a new patient needing to be seen for an urgent matter. They told me that I couldn't get an appt for 1.5 months because I had to do an established care appt first and to go to some urgent care in PERRIS. I spoke to a female manager (didn't get her name) and she was honestly quite rude. I said that I still wanted to keep the appt so I didn't have trouble again when I needed to see the Dr for urgent medical care next time. She told me the appt wouldn't be with Dr Combs (my chosen PCP) but with Dr Ray instead...I said okay fine. The day of the appt I called to confirm the appt time and I could not get ahold of anyone FOR HOURS. Nobody answers the phone! When I finally got through after the 5th call I was told that my name was not in the system and that they didn't show an appt for me that day. When she asked the 3 female managers (that the receptionist said worked there) nobody remembered the conversation. I wouldn't be surprised if the rude manager that I talked to purposely didn't schedule the appt that she gave me. This place is a mess. They said they could offer me another appt that was 3 weeks out with a NP. I told them forget it- that I would be going elsewhere and I suggest you do too. Believe me, I wish they had it together- it's right down the street from my house- but it is not worth the trouble. read more

My entire family goes here. Whenever my two young boys see Dr. Combs they always give him a hug and Dr. Combs will stop what he's doing to hug them. I primarily see Dr. Vincent. He's a professional through and through. My family couldn't be any happier. read more

It's with deep regret that I write this review. I've been going to Dr. Combs for the past 12 years, since 2007. Let me start by saying Dr Combs, Dr Vincent, PA Shaw, and the patient room nurses are great. The front office staff is abysmal. My experience has been that they don't answer the phones in a timely manner. I've been put on hold for extended periods of time, and hung up on. There is a lot of attitude from just about the entire front desk staff. When they do answer their phones they just take your name and number and tell you they will call back. It seems as though about 25% of the time they do call back but hours later. I had a stat MRI ordered, they had the results for over 24 hours with no call. I went to the office and explained that the MRI facility said the stat results were sent the previous morning. I was told by the front desk worker that if it was faxed they wouldn't know because they get 300-400 faxes a day and it's probably buried in the que. She said she will look but no guarantees. The report in fact ended up being there. My only recent positive experience with the front office staff has been Stephanie. She has been pleasant, returns calls, and genuinely cares. I really hate writing this because once you are able to get to the back everything is ok. The expansion of the practice over the past few years has noticeably affected the level of service. It's also very difficult to get an appointment in a reasonable period of time which is unacceptable for a primary care physician. Because I have been unable to make an appointment in a reasonable amount of time, I've had to go to urgent care more than once over the past few years for simple things that I would normally go to my primary doctor for. It would be my recommendation as a start, to completely gut the front desk staff and office managers and rebuild from scratch. This decline in service started about two years ago and steadily has gotten worse. I hope Dr. Combs is able to right the ship because he had a premier practice not too long ago. I'm still rooting for them to make the necessary changes to return the practice to the premier practice it once was. Sad. read more

I am appalled at how disrespectful and unprofessional these providers are. TWICE now I have had an appointment to be seen (one in office and one Telehealth appointment) and have been completely stood up and ghosted. When I called to inquire as to what happened, I could not even get an apology. Instead I was fed excuses. I promised that I would write a review so as to help prevent this from happening to others. This is now my second time posting a review about the same issue and it seems as though I'm not alone. I've read that similar things have happened to other patients as well. Please, save your time and money and take it elsewhere. These physicians don't deserve you as a patient and certainly don't deserve to get rich off your money either. They clearly don't care and more than likely won't care that I posted a similar review about the same situation TWICE now. When a patient misses an appointment the doctors are sure to be compensated. What about the patient? Truly the worst doctors office I've ever dealt with. Very sad. read more
