Heroes is easy to get to and has a large assortment of both new releases and back-issue comic…read morebooks. Especially new releases that are sold out or hard-to-find variants. I didn't see a lot of "sports" stuff there, if any, really. But there was a good amount of Funko Pops, trading cards, and other related collectibles if you're into that sort of thing. I'm only here for the comics. Overall, it's a place that I can easily pop into on my way home but can get lost in for hours just by combing through the dollar bins and searching for hidden gems. The owner is friendly, courteous, and always fun to talk with. You can tell that he loves collecting. (A "problem" that all of us in the comic community seem to have haha) My only gripe is that the condition of some of the dollar books and back issues should be looked at more carefully. Some are not quite as good as I thought they were when I purchased them. I only discovered this later on after taking them out of the bag. But for the low prices on some of them, I really can't complain.

Panther Comics has a decent selection of back stock and dollar bin books but not nearly as many new…read morereleases as I would have expected, especially for a somewhat larger store of their size. Now the staff there is always very friendly and knowledgeable, but it's not one of my go-to spots for comics. Mainly because their pricing on the back stock could be more competitive. Sure, you might occasionally find an outstanding deal, as I have come across in the past, but more often than not, that isn't the case. At least in the physical store. However, the exception is when Panther Comics is a vendor at different comic shows in other cities. Now THAT is where you will find incredible gems at phenomenal prices from them. In fact, I've bought over fifty key issue books from Panther this way at only a dollar or two a book. I consider that a deal (or steal). Too bad it's not the norm at their central location. If that were the case, then I would totally come here a lot more often. **TIP: They offer to submit services to CGC if you want to get your books graded. I heard another customer inquiring about it when I was there once, but I don't recall the exact pricing details.

It's an incredibly well stocked store with a very wide variety of hobby supplies. From radio controlled cars and planes, to plastic model kit, to gaming accessories. I couldn't think of anything this place didn't have. The staff were very friendly as well. I could happily stay engaged in conversation for hours with them. In the end, I left with a fairly hard to find model kit that I've only ever seen online.

You come here to browse through the crap & just hope to find a winner at a great price. This store is not a marvel like Murphy's Loft, but it's an ok place to wander in if you're in the area. I spent my childhood picking through 25 cent comic bins at flea markets. This place brings it all back. This place is ripe with back issues and rare finds. I love 80's swamp Thing and horror comics. I've found so many good books here. There are no pretentious wanna be nerds hanging out here. There is no group of guys arguing about the finer details of Ironman issue 457 vs 458. The staff is extremely helpful both on the web and off. Always willing to hold things for you if you ask. I never leave without dropping at least $20. Which at another shop in the city would get you one trade. Here I always leave with multiple items.
