The Comic Book Store is a hidden gem I stumbled across on my way back from yard sales on a Saturday morning. Oh, I wasn't expecting much from such an ambitious-sounding name as "the comic book store," but I have to say...it really is THE comic book store to go to! I stayed here for several hours combing through their back issue bins, and I still didn't get through all of them. The place is split into two buildings--one for toys and the other for comics. I only went into the comic building, which, although small, it's undoubtedly mighty in terms of service and selection. I was highly impressed by the staff that day, which made me feel welcome and even chatted with me about various books and storylines, just like the best local comic book shops do. It really was an enjoyable experience. And I found many hidden gems I never thought I'd find at such fantastic prices. I will certainly come back to this place again whenever I'm in the area. read more

Stopped by the other day to feel out a trade of Pokemon cards. After handing the employee my cards I was instructed to a computer to look up the card I was looking for. After I found it I walked back to the counter to see that he had pulled all of my pack fresh cards out and was man handling them, full bends and scraping them around like he was playing with his own cards. They have some decent prices for singles but awful prices for sealed packs, well over market even. After he ruined the value of my cards and offered me 58% trade in credit I was left feeling awful. Wouldn't recommend as there are better card shops and better comic book stores within 15 minutes from here. Plus it smells really bad!! Customer service was great. Large selection of comics! I was impressed by the volume of $1 comics they have so I brought home 40 issues! Will be returning. They also have a gaming center next door if you are into that. read more

Do not go here!!!! My bestfriend went in to sell comics and a tall guy with long hair and piercings, allegedly took her Frank Miller Dare Devil collection comics without giving her the money or receipt as he paid her for some other comic books in her box. She did not realize they were missing until she went home. Now she has to hire a PI and Lawyer and all she wants is her comics back that belonged to her deceased stepfather!!! She specifically told him she did not want to part with the Dare Devil Collection. Very sad to say the least as she thought he was trustworthy. A complaint is forthcoming with the local Police Department as well as pursuing a civil complaint for her financial loss!! read more

It has some great back issues and the staff is friendly but tables for Magic and other games occupy the majority of the store's space. If you're just into comics I would suggest trying to find times when tournaments or games aren't being played. Otherwise you'll feel out of place as a comic book collector in a comic book shop....(ironic). read more

The Rundown: Comics book / gaming store located in Glassboro, NJ. Good: Decent selection of comics. I have also found some back issues from the 90s that I have been meaning to add to my collection here. They also seem to be open longer than some of the comic stores by me. This is probably due to the tournaments that they have. If you're into gaming, at least half of the store (maybe even 2/3) is dedicated for gaming. With the location right across the street from Rowan University, it probably works out. I unfortunately do not play, so most of the review will be based on the comic selection. Bad: The selectin of comics really only take up one portion of the wall, and sometimes the stock is not always available. The owner is always helpful in offering to special order anything I am looking for, but I don't live in the area, so it's hard to know when I would be back. Verdict: Good environment, friendly staff. Parking is easy to find, haven't had any problems finding any in my past visits. Definitely check it out if you are in the area. read more

This is not my go-to store, but it's all right. There's plenty of current material and graphic novels. There isn't a lot of older material here. They have some games too and a real game room next door (Magic, etc.). The Modern Magic game attracts tier one decks. My daughter was steamrolled in the room. Excellent location to go to for all your geek needs (comics, graphic novels, card games, tabletops RPGs and accessories, board games, and more), as well as hosting an assortment of activities, such as a Magic event of Saturdays or several D&D groups on Mondays (as an example). The staff and regulars are super friendly and helpful. The Comic Book Store is the right place to buy comic books. The store associates are helpful, polite and kind, and the store is very organized, neat and small. The Comic Book Store has enough material and toys to occupy my wandering mind for hours and hours on end. It's a great place to go when you want to buy a good comic book. Plus, Rowan's Barnes and Noble bookstore with the Starbucks coffee shop is just a small walk across the street. This is my go-to place for comics. read more

Staff is awesome and knowledgable. Everyone is extremely kind including the regulars there. Every time I have been there I've seen Tim, Alex , and Paul . All three are great. Good atmosphere and if they don't have what you need they can order it for you. read more

My favorite store to go to for miniatures, board games, paint/painting supplies, comics and much more. The staff are some of the best customer service associates I've ever encountered; they're respectful and enjoyable people to be around. When shopping there it feels like going over to a relatives house to purchase stuff. If they do not have what you're looking for they have no problem ordering the product for you to be picked up at a later date. The other side of their store holds game nights for a variety of games such as Magic the gathering, DnD, Warhammer, and many more. After frequenting the store as much as I have the comic store definitely feels like a second home due to the kindness and warmness of its staff. Not to mention their knowledge of their products, anytime I'm confused or have a question they always have the answer or point me in the direction of the product I need. 10/10 love this place and wish it all the best! read more

This comic book store is a hidden gem! well organized and lots and lots of comic books in stock, also a very friendly staff I'm ecstatic about their stock for the old comic books everything is so organized, I found my so hard to find 90's spiderman hologram edition here for a great price! And they also have vintage comic books on display, even though I can't afford it just to see it is awesome.. This store is hands down the best comic book store. I just recently got into reading comics. This can be a very daunting and intimidating challenge. It's hard to know what to read and where to start. The staff here was so helpful. They talked to me a bit to ask what kind of movies and things I was into and tailored there suggestions to me. They all seemed very knowledgeable about the books and where to start with them. Since then they have been super friendly and welcoming everytime I come in. They helped me set up a bin which eill save you money. They special order things that I needed if they didn't have it in stock. And speaking of there stock they have a large selection of new issues... Graphic novels... And resonably priced back issues. They also have tons of games if that's what your looking for. Magic cards games etc. I really can't say enough good things about this awesome store and there amazing staff. If your new to comics or just starting out then check them out for sure. read more

They provide the current weeks variants for cover price!!! I have yet to find anywhere else that does that! The store has a solid collection of past comics, but it really shines if you're into roleplaying games. It holds monthly turnimants for card games. I had an awful experience on numerous occasions at the Comic Book Store. 1 day i walked in the shop to pick up my weekly comic books from my bin and the owner "Alex" was working behind the counter. He must have been doing something on the computer and couldn't get whatever he was doing to work. So out of rage he "Violently" punched the computer screen and stormed out of the store. I was shocked by this kind of behavior, and what made matters worse was i had my 3 year old daughter with me. On a separate occasion, it was getting close to closing time. I stopped in the store again to pick up my books, but i also walked around because the store had some new games in stock and i was looking for a specific one. While walking through the store, there was 3 regulars (which I'm assuming) and Alex the owner sitting at the table. Its very obvious they were gambling by the amount of $1 bills that were on the table and the deck of poker cards sitting there too. These series of events caused me to close my bin at the shop and find another place to purchase my comics. read more
