Dropped by this spot before heading into the Renegade Craft Fair. I wanted a nice, filling breakfast, and this place did not disappoint. Choose the egg salad sandwich on a toasted everything bagel based on unanimous raving about it in reviews, and it did not disappoint! Bagel was perfect, the avocado and tomato fresh, and the sauce absolutely delicious. Was a bit messy to eat, but it was worth it. Place is pretty small with limited seating, especially during meal hours. The line to order was almost out the door! Luckily, I got a stool by the window. One star off because of the B rating. After leaving, a guy on the street gasped, "omg they have a B!" and kept walking. 10/10 would still return when I'm in the area though. read more

Cute cafe with friendly staff and nice selection of food/drinks! Good amount of bar-type seating facing the window and smaller tables. Liked that they had apples with a sign that said they should be washed! I had an iced chai latte with spices (over vanilla) and the smoked salmon avocado toast, which comes added with honey, diced tomatoes, red pepper flakes and a small side salad with French dressing. Very quaint hole-in-the-wall cafe with refreshing drinks & delicious pastries! We came in for a quick sweet treat and thoroughly enjoyed the brownie, which was perfectly fudgy. All their baked treats looked amazing, actually. Service was also friendly & prompt, and the interior was really cozy. Can't think of a better way to escape the heat for a little bit. read more

Lovely little coffee shop. On the weekends it can be packed especially if there is an event at the Metropolitan Center next door. Be prepared to wait in line. But early in the week it is much less crowded and you can typically find a seat. The coffee is great. They have a nice selection of baked goods and the baristas are very friendly. read more

A very nice coffee shop with free WiFi, I love the chai latte. There's a variety of food and drinks and I want to try all of it! There's seats outside and inside and it's so cozy. I got a 20oz chai latte with soy milk and it was $6.49. Would definitely come back to try the other drinks, it's definitely a cafe you can study and chill at. read more

Yelp brought me to this cute cafe right off of 6th and my very hungry and coffee needing self was extremely grateful for the find! They have a bunch of tables, a counter lined with high top chairs and a big enclosed outdoor section. I wanted a place I could kick back and relax for a bit and I definitely found it. The baristas were super kind and never rushed me (even though I took way too long to order - it's a big menu!) The good: lots of seating! Inside and out. lots of folks on their laptop so my guess is the wifi is strong and they don't mind if you linger awhile. great coffee. I got an oat latte and it was hot and strong. Not too long of a wait at all! The meh: Honestly didn't love the egg and cheese sandwich. I got mine on a toasted everything bagel and thought it needed a lot more salt or flavor or something. Solid cafe, love their spiced chai latte. Their lentil soup is very hearty and pretty delicious, and their sandwiches are great. Seems like a splurge but really on par with anything else out there these days. Staff is super friendly and seems like a decent place to get work done if you're lucky to be here off peak. Definitely my go to when I'm in the area. Cozy for sure, and free WiFi is a plus. read more

Popped in to this little cafe today on my way to the wework nearby. I told myself "im gonna just find a cafe nearby and try it" rather than specifically finding one on yelp and going to it. and luckily the odds worked in my favor! I really enjoyed this place! Sweetened matcha was pretty good, not too sweet actually. The bagel was the best though. It wasnt super packed where it was overwhelming, but the proportions were PERFECT. Super quant cafe on a local residential block. Plenty of options for breakfast from bagels to croissants to sandwiches. I popped in on a random Monday morning with 2 little ones in tow and we had a great time. I got a Cortado and we also got a ham / cheese croissant, a plain croissant, and a caramel filled donut. Solid coffee shop- I ordered an iced vanilla latte and the egg salad avocado sandwich- about $13. There's lots of tables and seating, chill enough to work on things or just relax for a bit. Food and drink came out quickly and he even brought them to my table. Latte- delicious & hit the spot for some espresso without being too sweet or milky. Sandwich- Popular menu item but the multigrain roll I had with it was a little too dry when toasted so I recommend un-toasted. Also was expecting more egg/chopped up egg salad scoop kind of thing. This place is such a great normal place to have in Chelsea! Cute homey Cafe. Stopped by on a random Thursday morning. Staff was super friendly. Many of the tables were filled with people working. Lots of high counter seats as well. The prices were so fair.. many options for breakfast and lunch. I went with the egg Swiss and prosciutto breakfast sandwich and an iced chai latte. $15 total. I love their avocado egg salad!! ($6.60). You choose what type of bread and and can get it toasted. Whatever sauce they put in this sandwich is bomb and makes the sandwich have more flavor. This is a tucked away gem that I almost want to gatekeep. Prices are surprisingly reasonable for this insane neighborhood. So far I've come for the iced coffee and cookies. Both were great. Everyone at Telegraphe has always been very sweet. All of my coworkers come in often as it is down the street from us. You really can't go wrong with anything you order, as everything is delicious. I usually get the croissant breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese, and prosciutto. It's always perfectly made, toasted & cooked properly. The sandwiches are also very delicious, the caprese being my favorite. I have seen they have a fair amount of pastries and sweet treats. The donut with dulce de leche calls my name everytime but one day I will cave in. The space is also really nice with a small indoor seating area and a cozy outdoor area as well. Couldn't ask for more out of a neighborhood cafe. read more

Love this place and wow, great prices. For $5 I got a double shot latte, unheard of. There was such a sweet person working too. My sister saw her make a pretty lemonade and asked what it was, then the lady gave her a sample. Great service, even when I came back the next day the staff was super nice. read more

I've been going to this coffee shop since before Covid. The employees are super kind and helpful. My go to is an ice coffee with oat milk - it's the best coffee I've ever had, and it always turns out the same every time. Their pastries are also delicious. The price and value are incredible - I can get a 20oz coffee for less than $5 and they won't charge extra for milk. Fantastic establishment! read more

We were visiting the Container Store nearby and this was the closest cafe around, a perfect little spot for some coffee after a lot of walking around. Neat little space but looked pretty full on a Sunday afternoon. We took a quick ice double cappuccino with oat milk to-go and the service was quick. Almost all the pastries and croissants on the counter were empty though. I was happy to see stevia and honey as options for sweeteners. But I am not a regular coffee drinker, so couldn't one finish one half of the small cup, the double coffee was a bit strong for me. read more

Service is bad. Don't come here if you have places to be. The last 3 times I've been here the cashier has forgotten to tell the kitchen my order. There's no communication between the cashier and the food coming out. Last time I came here I ordered a lentil soup, took 20 minutes and when I finally asked what happened to my food, they had forgotten my order. All their soups are in a giant pot right behind the cashier. Food is fine, nothing crazy but decent for the price. Ambiance is fine, could be cleaner. read more

There are a lot of things about this cafe that I appreciate. I appreciate the free WiFi/charging stations, the fact that it provided a cozy place for me to dodge the rain, the fact that they have both indoor and outdoor seating, and most importantly, the fact that they have a bathroom. That being said, I ordered the hot chocolate and although it looked beautiful and the flavor was decent, it tasted pretty powdery to me and as such, definitely wasn't worth the 4 bucks I paid for it. (On the other hand, I WOULD pay 4 bucks for the rest of the stuff I listed, so. Maybe try one of their coffees?) read more

This cafe has a nice and calm environment with good and friendly service. I ordered the Salmon and Cream Cheese bagel. Not gonna lie, I ordered it because I was curious to see how salmon and cream cheese would work together. I was pleasantly surprised on how good it tastes! Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.

I needed a sweet pick-me-up after missing a train home. While the ice cream flavors looked interesting, I opted for a blue coconut iced matcha latte instead. Aside from the striking visuals, the drink tasted great. There was sweetness from the matcha and the coconut but not super overtly sugary. I also got a box of four donuts. They're a little pricey, but each donut is a pretty hefty ring of chewy glutinous rice flour batter. I had them the following morning, and the donuts still tasted fresh. There was a little bit of oiliness from the frying, but it did not taste off or too greasy. I think this is from the meticulous frying process and good management of the oil. I got the Cookies and Cream, Rose, Lavender, and Pistachios. I loved the Rose and Lavender flavors, especially the lavender which had a solid floral flavor without being perfume-y. I look forward to trying other donuts and sweets from Bear Donut in the future!

The rice cake was good, but the sporks they give you are completely useless against the rice cakes. The mango cake was about the blandest cake I've ever had in my life. One good thing is that, at least on the upper level, they do not rush you out whatsoever. You can literally stay for as long as you want.

The strawberry croissant had fresh strawberries and cream and it was the perfect breakfast after a run in Central Park. Service was friendly and the line moved quickly. Prices are typical for midtown NYC, but all the reward app perks make it more reasonable. It was easy to get to walking down from the Bryant Park area. When we got there it was busy, but not too busy. My wife and I split a slice of chocolate mousse cake. The price is just right for the perfect size slice for sharing. On our prior trip it was a lot busier and it took a while to get a seat so we could eat. This time it wasn't as crowded and we were able to sit right away after getting our slice. On future trips to New York we'll definitely have to come back and try some of the other items available.
