Highly do not recommended this place at all. About a year in a half ago a got a vehicle from them. Within a week of having that said vehicle I ended up paying $860 in repairs for some fuel issues with the car. Got it fixed no problem. Then more issues with the vehicle a year later happen. Started Overheating, Alternator went out. Come to find out the Serpentine Belt snap that goes to the Water pump and alternator. So i then contact them and explained that i was having issues with coming up with payment that i was working toward also getting the car fixed. Which currently to fix the Alternator and get the serpentine belt and repair it the cost is roughly around $850. I then explain i did not have it to give me roughly another week to try and get that. Then they want to give me the run around say call our service department and pay them a fee to see what wrong with the car. Why would I pay a Diagnose Fee when I already know what wrong with it. Then I get a Text Message today from Virginia asking if i want to process the payment. I explained that am still working to get payment and try to get the car fixed. She then decide to be Rude. If your looking to buy a Car your best bet is to go to someone that has it to where Banks are the ones that finance for you as banks will work with you. Tejas Motors won't. Tejas Motors - My Vehicle purchased Tejas Motors of Lubbock - Auto Loan Providers Near Me - Lubbock, Texas

There are excellent dealers out there - fair and honest then there is Tejas Motors who took advantage of my young adult daughter on her first car purchase. I don't want to sound sexist or racist, but if you are a minority woman a "stealership" will have a target on you the second arrive on the lot. It's pathetic and disgusting, If I could have gone with her to shop for a car, I would. She's incredibly independent and I admire her for even doing this monumental task on her own. In March, 2016, my daughter purchased a red 2013 Hyundai Accent and the first night she brought it home the battery DIED. I told her that even with a used car, the battery shouldn't need to be replaced and you haven't had it 24 hours. After this happened we discovered a lot of issues with the dealership and car. Let's start with what I didn't like about this deal: She only had one car key The battery died the first NIGHT she brought it home The back tire wobbled The front bumper was coming unattached on the passenger side Numerous conversations with the sales person AND a manager we got them to "fix" the bumper, get a remote lock and key, and do an alignment. A few months later the "repaired" bumper came unattached AGAIN. Fast forward nine months, January, 2017, she decides to return the car to Tejas Motors. She called them and told them to pick up the car. It took them 3 almost 4 weeks to come pick up the car. When the manager came to obtain the keys he asked me what was the reason for her returning the car. I gave him the list of reasons and gave him both keys to the car. He walked towards the car but stopped and "inspected" at the bumper. The next day, my daughter's insurance company called to inform her that Tejas Motors filed a claim against her insurance for the bumper!! The absolute worst dealership I have dealt with. They are very unprofessional and rude. I put a Insurance on a 2017 Ford Focus which is the car the sales rep and I agreed to so when I got there Saturday the focus wasn't even ready due to them trying to sell me another car even though I was already on agreed to getting the focus because Moses, he made a mistake and instead of giving me the correct information to me on Friday before I drove out to Lubbock or giving me a heads up on what's going on, they let me drive out there (I'm coming midland) sof ended up telling me the employee gave them the wrong information and pricing was different they did reduce the price on the car to get me to continue the sale, after telling them how unprofessional that was to try to pull a slick one on me when I got there knowing I was coming from Midland. Sof seemed annoyed with me due to pointing out how they trying to sell me another car I didn't agree to and say "but you liked that car" yes I liked it but me and Moses agreed to the 2017 Ford Focus that is the car I already put insurance on. I drove off the lot with the car around 3pm Saturday then on Sunday my car overheated , AC went out and my rear view camera messed up. Monday & Tuesday my car overheated while pArked I contacted the sales rep(Moses) I sent pictures and messages regarding that he was very helpful and said he would contact the manager to see what he can do for me, however when I spoke with sof on he said "but you chose that car" ummm.. I wasn't aware of any defects on it according to them it had passed inspection and nothing was wrong with it. they wanted to pick it up and fix it but leave me carless ALREADY. how are they going to sell me a car and WITHIN A DAY try to pick it up and leave me carless yet again for a mistake they made, if something was wrong the car why not tell me so I can chose another car or take my business else where, my 4 year daughter and my safety is FAR more important then someone making a sell. I dealt with Casey to get everything figured out, Casey was very rude and unprofessional, when I tried explaining the situation he didn't even want to hear me out , he just said " i already know the situation" without even hearing me out as a customer and try to understand my frustration, On Friday i arrived he didn't even acknowledge me i was waiting for him by my friends car, i asked what's going to happen after he inspected the car to make sure I didn't mess up the car, he pretty much shut the door in my face and told me to wait outside I have all this on video and recording of conversations of how rude and unprofessional he was through out this whole situation, Anytime I said anything he rolled his eyes and would just walked away didn't even try to apologize for selling me a defective car or the shitty service I have been receiving through this whole situation , they as well charged me a 15% restocking fee, when the car can't be restocked due to the car overheating. This was a mistake of their own and anytime it was brought to their attention they would get upset because I wasn't allowing them to screw me over. This place is the most unprofessional business, I never talked to the general manager per their website it states Abel Alvarez, however Casey introduces himself as the GM on the website it states he's a Sales manager. They put me in a financial burden I had already put 300$ towards insurance for my Ford Focus, having to pay my friend to take me not once but TWICE, and not even giving me the full down payment even though they sold me a lemon car. I Would not recommend absolute nobody here. I retracted my initial post date the car was returned to tejas motor 7/03/2020 due to fear of retaliation of my down payment check and them putting it on hold or canceling the check due to LACK OF customer service and instant aggression I have experienced from a few different employees at Tejas motors. I have purchased a lot of cars through the years. I can honestly say that my recent experience with Tejas Motors was the best car shopping experience I have ever had. Our salesman was very professional but at the same time, we did not feel pressured. While waiting for the finance offers from the banks, instead of waiting around, they just told us to take the vehicle and come back in an hour or so. So we ran some errands in the Yukon we were buying and came back to sign the papers. It just went as smooth as buying a car could possible go. I understand that with any previously owned vehicle, there are going to be little things and that is to be expected. If you want something perfect, buy it brand new from a showroom floor and pay 4 times the price. We love our Yukon Denali that we purchased from Tejas Motors and it is in fantastic shape for its age. It is clear that it was very well maintained and taken care of. We expect to drive it for many years. I need to say something about the service at Tejas Motors as well. I was very pleasantly surprised when I pointed out that the self closing button on the back door did not work. They agreed to repair it for me at no charge. I just thought that just showed that they really do go above and beyond to take care of their customers. I assure you that my family will go to Tejas Motors first anytime we are shopping for a vehicle. It won't be all that long and our 4 kids will be driving age. I know where we will go when that time comes as well. Tejas Motors has earned our trust and our future business. We just got back from driving to Kansas City to visit family. We loved traveling in our Yukon Denali XL. We had so much room. It was fun to see all the things this vehicle has to offer. I was half way to Kansas City before I found out that the front seats do not just have a heater for the winter, but also air conditioning for the summer. That may be my new favorite feature of our vehicle. I had to turn the air in the seat to low because I was really getting cold! Our children love the Yukon as well. They have tons of space and they love passing the time going down the highway watching their favorite movies on the DVD player/entertainment system. We also love that the vehicle has two separate stereos so the kids can watch their movie in the back with their headphones while we are listening to the satellite XM radio that was included. We could not be happier with our purchase and we would recommend Tejas Motors to anyone in need of trading up to a newer vehicle from the vehicle they are in. My husband and i bought a car at tejas. A few days after buying it we had it in their shop THREE times! Once was for the engine light that came on about three days after buying it, another was because we noticed the heater was blowing cool air on the passenger side and another time was because the windshield sprayer was not working. All three times they "fixed" the problem. We have not had this car a year yet and these priblems are still going on. In the contract we signed with tejas it said if there was a repair that needed to be made it would be $150 on our part. Well because this is stuff they have "fixed" before they are taking their time calling us back. I always get the run around when I call and I always hear "we will call you back" and hear nothing from them. I would not recommend tejas motors and we will NOT be buying abother car from them! read more
