Mitch and his son are very responsive and sold me a solid truck at a good value. Was very impressed with how they worked with me.

Great selection of cars and trucks. They offer in-house financing. I've bought almost all my trucks from them.

This statement serves to ensure that there is a clear distinction between my individual viewpoint and any factual claims. By articulating that this review is subjective in nature, I aim to avoid any potential misinterpretation that could lead to legal implications. Transparency and honesty are integral values in offering feedback and criticism, and this statement is intended to uphold these principles for the benefit of those who read and myself. The customer service at Billy's Auto Sales was disappointing as there was a lack of transparency regarding the vehicle's involvement in a prior collision. Please read your agreement thoroughly. The finance agreement that Billy's auto sales Itd offered included close to some of the highest interest rates that they are legally allowed to charge in the state of Texas. Other BHPH dealerships have substantially lower rates. I'm curious to know if rates similar to those that Billy's offers would be considered predatory. If the vehicle you purchase does not live up to the statements made to you by staff ("it drove for 500 miles, ran great") then it falls on the customer for not taking it to a certified mechanic. If you read through their reviews you'll see the patronizing replies from staff one after the other mentioning how they tell customers to take it to a mechanic, I understand it's our responsibility as consumers to do our due diligence, but it sure would be nice if a locally owned business would take accountability for dropping the ball sometimes. I've read the horror story of one customer who purchased a car that already had frame damage. Frame damage usually totals a car. I would think D.O.T would have intervened, if it had been brought to their attention. I've read reviews from individuals who claim they received a vehicle that needed constant repairs almost immediately after taking it off the lot. Additionally taking it upon myself to talk with other Billy's customers , I was told some had experienced repossessions after making a payment( they were behind on payments but to their understanding they reached a verbal agreement to catch up, but once a partial payment was made they were surprised to find their vehicle was still repossessed shortly after. No, repossession in this scenario isn't technically illegal but I feel it's unethical. Although I'm not sure it might just be myself, who feels that way. Anyone see the review left by someone with the same name as the sales manager (although he seems to go by "Beaux") stating "William West 2 reviews (5 STARS): a year ago Bought several vehicles here, very understanding and good people! Extremely hard to get repo'd from as long as you talk to them and make an effort they will work with you!" Might be a coincidence but after a little bit of digging I don't think it's hard to form an opinion. I find it odd, that a family owned business who has had multiple reviews stating customers experienced a "surprise repossession" felt the need to leave their own review and emphasize how it's "extremely hard to get repo'd from" I'm a huge supporter of locally owned businesses but I'm very disappointed in my experience with Billy's auto sales ltd of Lubbock, Tx. A friendly reminder to all customers who felt they weren't treated fairly or felt as if the manner of which this or any dealership conducted business could fall into the lines of "deceptive practices" remember that's what the CFPB is here for, and if the safety of you and your passengers were put at risk due to cars that shouldn't have been allowed on the road being sold by these bhph dealerships, it's your responsibility to inform DOT of these practices, to hopefully stop it from continuing. If you feel like making a complaint but are not sure where to start, I'd be happy to help guide you in the direction of where your complaints should be directed. if anyone reaches out to me I'll definitely help you file complaints.
