Don't listen to Linda B from four hours ago who was angry because the guy working alone didn't just drop everything he was doing to cater to her Karen behind. Linda B became irrationally irate because there were others ahead of her! She was nasty and cursing at him, then yeah was informed to go. We were being helped and there were others ahead of her. Just because you walk into a business and demand answers does not put you ahead of anybody else she should not have been so self-centered and hostile. Our visit after she left was quite pleasant. This establishment did everything they had stated they could do he did it as quickly as he could which was to replace a fob and reprogram our jeep. I cannot rave enough about this lock smith we lost the keys to our car and it was left windows down unlocked in front of our house on a busy street i was in full panick its labor day weekend on a sunday no one was answering and Tehama lock came to the rescue the price was VERY reasonable $200 for 2 new keys took him about 30mins! absolutely fantastic company and service! he was here 1 hour after calling!! highly recommend!! read more

when you look up the hours they are open the web site says... 8-5, so i went on my lunch hour and they were closed. I called the next day and specifically asked about the hours. I was told 8-5 and closed for lunch from 11:30-12:30. i arranged to leave early for my lunch hour so i could catch them before they left at 11:30. I arrived at 11:25 and they were closed. I called and the guy who answered said, oh he leaves early to get his entire hour This is crap. You try to shop local but the service is awful. read more

I have been using this business ever since moving to the area 14 years ago. They never cease to amaze me. Over the years I have had some odd foreign (China) key copied. Each time they did their best to try to make exact copies and each time I was told to try the keys out first and if they work to pay the next time I was in. The keys always worked and I always paid. Another time I bought a aftermarket key fob for my Hyundai. Although they gave it their best shot the Fob would not program. I was amazed there was no charge whatever. There are so few business's that I love the way they operate, one is Costco and Tehama County Lock & Security is also right up there. They will always have my business. read more

I wanted the locks replaced for my front door and side door and one key for both. There were some "oddities" about each lock set-up, so I felt more secure hiring a professional. Tehama lock, and specifically John, saved our vacation today! He went out of his way, way out to Mineral in fact, to lock up an important gate we had mistakenly left open. We were 3 hours away when we realized our mistake and panicked, not knowing anyone local. Even though this was not exactly a locksmithing job, he could probably hear the panic in my voice and made it happen. He even texted us a picture of the locked gate! I just want to say "Thank you" so much to the staff at Tehama! My family stopped in Red Bluff as we were on our way moving out of California and my son-in-law locked his keys in his car. It was going to take AAA over an hour to get to us so I decided to call a local locksmith. Not only did Tehama come when they said they would BUT they also were able to make a mobile duplicate of the key so we didn't have this issue again. Worst business in Red Bluff! Don't know if the person at the counter today was an owner or employee, but suspect employee because no business owner would treat customers the way this guy did. "Substance abuse issues" comes to mind, though I have no evidence of that other than his nasty attitude and downright meanness for no reason. He was just plain angry, maybe because he was alone and there were 3 customers in the store, but that's no excuse for being abusive to people. I attempted to get him to finish waiting on me, but he was ready to move on to other customers and told me to just leave and not come back. He had rung up my purchase and wasn't about to give me one more second to answer a simple question about their mobile services. Ha! Like I needed him to tell me not to come back. I wouldn't go back there if they were giving stuff away. If I owned this business I would give this guy the boot. Afterward, I spoke on the phone to a very nice man in Corning at Keys Plus. He answered all my questions and ended the call with "God bless you." (And, no I hadn't sneezed). read more

I was having a horrible no good day yesterday. I arrived at my mothers house to drop my 10 month old daughter off on my way to work, I opened the driver door got out and walked around to the back door to get her out when I realized my jeep had locked! My daughter was stuck in my Jeep! My initial reaction was to break the window out; however I thought that was a little dramatic so I started to think logically. I remembered there was a locksmith in Red Bluff that could help. However it was only 7:50am... I figured there was no way they were open. I called and I got an answer! I couldn't believe it! The owner John answered I told him what had happened as qucikly as I could and gave him my address. From my house to Red Bluff it takes 15 minutes somehow John got to my house in about 8 minutes! He was able to get into my car within a few minutes. I hope this NEVER happens again but if it did I would call Tehama Lock first! read more
