Robert Brogden Hays service department denied a warranty claim that was approved by a different…read moredealership (I moved away while part was being shipped to that one). I have a GMC truck which had a poor application of film on the front grille, and it started flaking off. I brought it to the dealership which I purchased the new truck from and they approved the repair. They said that if the flaking had been caused by rock chips it wouldn't have been covered, but when they specifically looked for that they didn't see any evidence of it. They ordered a new grille and I told them that I would be moving so hopefully the part would arrive before I left. They said it should show up in time, but unfortunately it didn't arrive in time. I showed up to this dealership and told them this, and the service counter employee took my information down, and also took some pictures on their phone of the damage. They showed the service manager the next day and they replied that since the case was already being handled by a different dealership they couldn't do anything. When I asked if they needed me to call them and have them close it out, they then said "well actually it's because of rock damage so we can't fix it do to that." Needless to say I will remember this warranty denial after a separate dealership approved it when I go to purchase another new vehicle. Their reasoning seems so shady to me.

We called James Chevrolet around 5:45 PM on a Thur night and a very kind and helpful man answered the phone. He explained that the service department was closed for the day, but he took all of our information and encouraged us to come in first thing in the morning and speak with the service department. He also informed us that he would leave them a note to expect us. He was kind enough to even give us lodging information for the night. We had called another dealer two hours away. They told us they could see us on Monday. We have a 2 Day drive to get home and needed to be to work by Monday. We were in a pinch. James went above and beyond with kindness and consideration and knowledge. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs some service to their vehicle. So 2000 miles later in the first week of April, it died in traffic. It would die after driving .5 mile. All summer different new parts were put on and it still ran bad. It sat from April thru October, and in Oct. noticed fuel leaking. Found out there are 2 recalls on the fuel tank. Called this place and told couldn't be any problems, was retiring anyway. Worse decision ever to buy from Pfeifer.
