Each of the store has its own entrance. Quick stop for all basic needs. The area is secure as they have cameras everywhere and security patrols the lots frequently. Plenty of parking space. You would think it was closing time on Sunday. The Dick's side is dead, much of the mall is empty this Sunday afternoon.

This visit to the GM Renaissance Center felt bittersweet. With GM moving its global headquarters to…read morethe Hudson's Detroit building, much of the RenCen is already closed for renovation. Level A - the first floor was closed, and we could only walk around Level 1, with limited access to view the cars from above. For years, this has been one of my favorite spots to bring friends when they visited Detroit. Seeing everything from vintage GM models to upcoming vehicles all in one place always felt iconic. Knowing this was likely one of the last visits before major demolition begins made it feel even more emotional. We'll truly miss this space as we've known it. The change, while disappointing at first, makes sense. The two office towers closest to the river, along with the connecting podium, are slated for demolition. The original 1970s-era design simply no longer fits modern work needs, especially with the shift toward remote and hybrid work. While it's sad to see this space go, the future plans, opening up the riverfront and creating a Navy Pier-style park and entertainment area, give hope that something even better is coming.

I've been shopping here since it was Roots 73. This location is super convenient compared to the…read moremall and well worth the drive out of town. There is parking right by the door. The location is very large and not jam-packed. I always come in for a couple of specific things and manage to leave with a huge bag of stuff. They've always got a great selection and even a fully stocked clearance rack. It's not Roots 73 anymore but there are still more deals here than a typical location.

So while shopping with my four year old Granddaughter who wanted a blue dress....she suddenly asked for a bathroom. I was told to walk four blocks to Nike who does allow people to go to the bathroom. I quickly headed to check out when my grand asked for psnties too $19.99 on that quick grab which I realized after paying, walking her down to Nike was she held it as best she could, but politely said may I have a pair of panties that you just bought me. To be four, knowing adults would not let you use their bathroom pretty ridiculous! I questioned having to spend $20 for a pack that she says I need the princesses now, because she did not want to say she was holding it as best she could. I mentioned this to front counter after I realized why I had to buy panties too! Be ashamed for lack of human decency! I called H & M Corp CS which said they could contact the store to file a complaint, but they never bothered to ask my information! My daughter bought two funny temporary tattoos. I tried on facsinators for which I so very much I had an occasion to wear. The proprietor mentioned a local tea party in September and how I wish I was able to attend. There's also kitschy finds from character nail files to vintage jewelry, whimsical housewares and of course vintage-looking new clothes. Its an eye-pleasing delight!
