Failed Apple Watch screen repair left watch more damaged than it started. My watch screen had a crack in the corner from being dropped, so I called Tecish and made an appointment for the screen replacement. I showed him that the touch haptics were working and the watch was functional, but only needed a new screen. He said it would take about 30 minutes and would be $150. I agreed and he took the watch to his vehicle to do the work. He said he needed an additional part and more time to complete the repair as he was having some issues with it. He asked if he could take the watch to work on and would bring it back the next day. I agreed. I hadn't heard from him the following day, so I texted at 4:30 (no reply) then I called an hour or so later. He answered, said he was still working on it and asked if he could bring it in the morning. Again, I agreed. The following morning, he arrived with my watch having the original broken screen, but with the touch haptics no longer functioning. He acknowledged that the touch feature was working when he arrived to fix it two days earlier (before he attempted to fix it and had it for two days). I told him he should reimburse me for having the touch function he damaged repaired. He started yelling about "take me to court" and "fuck you." He acknowledged he damaged the functionality, but failed to even apologize and became combative. In summary, the tech was unskilled and unprofessional/argumentative. read more

I noticed some weird smudging on my iPhone's camera that didn't go away no matter how much i cleaned the lens/camera with a microfiber cloth, so I solicited estimates via the Yelp app and Tecish came back with the lowest estimate. I sat on it for a couple days hoping the smudges might magically go away or I'd stop caring, but when that didn't happen, I came back and asked for an appointment. Unfortunately, the price of the iPhone parts had increased since the last estimate, but it was STILL lower than the other quoted estimates. Shawn indicated there would also be an additional $10 surcharge for fuel since he was coming from Hollywood, but this was still more convenient than having to drive somewhere and to sit for 30 minutes to an hour. We made an appointment from 1-2 pm but I forgot and went to walk the dog and received a missed call and then a Yelp message at 1:12 pm from Shawn saying he was there and I ran back to find him waiting politely outside of my unit. He took my phone and gave me his card, and said for me to come back in 15 minutes while he worked on it at his car, where all of his equipment was. Sure enough, 15 minutes later, the phone was ready, the camera was replaced, and he had me check it by taking a photo of something white and then zooming in on the photo. He also took the time to explain that water had likely gotten into the phone at some point and he showed me where the water had dried and corroded some of the metal, and also the glue points from the bad glue that had been applied the last time the back of the phone had been replaced. He was very articulate and professional and obviously knew what he was doing and talking about, which was very reassuring. 5/5. I actually went to Shawn 5x already for iphone screen repairs and a MacBook repair. Shawn is an incredibly nice guy who by far has had the best response time that I ever had with any mobile screen repair/computer repair technician. He fixed my iPhone XR screen 4x and a iPhone 7 Plus and charges a very fair amount. Not only this but he uses oem original apple parts which a lot of shady people here on Yelp don't do, a lot of them use to put more money in their pockets and the screens eventually get dead pixels of the sensitivity of the touch is compromised. He fixed my MacBook Pro screen and even pointed out that the gpu/video card has failed and quickly found a great deal on the part and installed it and delivered it to me within days.
