It was a 104 today and Otto was there in 15 minutes. We had lost a tire on our car running it off the shoulder. It was an all wheel drive vehicle and Otto put it on a trailer behind his tow truck and delivered it safely to to our home in Yosemite Lakes Park. I would highly recommended Technique. I have had some bad experiences And damaged cars with other tow companies in the area. Rest assured we will be calling them if we ever have other issues. Our car completely died in Yosemite Valley - actually a breakdown of the electronic system that controls the car. It was Memorial Day Weekend and we had no idea how we would get the car back to the Bay Area. Fortunately, Techinique Towing came to the rescue and Albert drove us and the car 5.5 hours back to the Bay Area and then had to return to Oakhurst. He couldn't have been more professional or pleasant. On top of that he was an extremely safe driver. He's fairly new and you'd never know it. It felt like we were in the hands of a seasoned professional. Meanwhile, during the time we waited for the flatbed tow truck to arrive, Noe - the owner - did a great job of updating us and reassuring us that a truck was on the way. We were driving back home from Yosemite after a day of snow play and a boulder rolled down the embankment and slashed both passenger side tires side walls Luckily we had cell phone reception and within 40 minutes Technique was rolling our van onto a flatbed. The truck driver was super nice and brought the van at a nearby tire shop (Fast Tires, Coarsegold which is also great). Very thankful for the tow. read more

Worst experience i've ever had with a business. This is literally the first review i have ever left because i just feel like people should know what they're getting into. Long story short: They drove my van off of the tow truck and crushed in my door and side of van and wont even refund my $476 tow fee or give me money for the damages. They tried to half ass fix it themselves just so the door would close, clearly still damaged. Long story: So i was having my van towed because my steering box was torn off the frame. Once the tow guy got there he asked me if my vehicle was able to steer and i said yes it can turn only on one side although i couldn't remember which one. So he then tells me he wants to try and see which side it can turn to so it can maybe help get the vehicle on the flatbed since it was at an angle. He starts it and drives a bit forward while turning the wheel, which is when he realises it's not turning at all and puts it in park. Then he asks me to get in and reverse it while he tries to turn the tires with his hands, which is when i realise the breaks arent working so i park it and tell him that. He informs me that the fluid underneath my van may be brake fluid or i must've hit a brake line. Anyways he then gets in and tries to drive the van a bit forward to get on the truck, which because it doesnt have breaks ends up driving off the side of the tow truck and landing on the drivers side door. The driver then ends up freaking out and apologizing and has to call his boss to come out and help. This whole process takes like 3 hrs from when he got there, meanwhile my vans in the middle of a small parking lot blocking my coworkers in to which i have to tell them im sorry they have to wait. After the boss gets there i ask if it'll be covered to which he says yes he'll take it to a body shop to be professionally fixed. After my van is looked at by an auto shop they say my steering issue cant be fixed, and so a body shop wont take it when it cant drive. I then call this tow business FOUR times before i'm able to have the boss text me. I explain to him why i feel i should receive a tow refund due to the bad service and the fact that they can no longer have the door professionally fixed. The boss ends up saying no and that they'll fix it themselves sometime this week. Way to ignore all of the other inconveniences caused, this business is VERY unprofessional and i reccomend going with litterly anyone else. The door was half ass fixed just so that it could close, still clearly damaged. I tried speaking to someone about it because i want money for the damages, they told me they'd speak to the boss but that was a week ago and i still havent heard back, suprise suprise. read more

Who would think a "tow" company can provide such good customer service.  I use the word "tow" loosely because they do so much more.  My RV broke down in Yosemite. Ponderosa/Technique quoted a good price to make it towable and tow it.  The communication was excellent from the start.  Ernie, The "tow truck" driver was great. He was not just a driver, he got under the RV and busted his ass to disengage the driveshaft.  All with a smile and a good sense of humor.  Super friendly.  The customer service was phenomenal with Noe at home base.  I must have spoke/messaged him 20 times regarding the issue I had with the insurance company and repair shop Noe was so helpful from the beginning, explaining the probable cause of the breakdown and helping me through the solutions.  Bottom line, don't hesitate to call them for the ultimate in service read more

They came quickly with a flat bed truck, carefully put dollies under the rear wheels and pulled it on and delivered it to my mechanic. Very professional every step. Last night, at 11:30 pm, we are pulling a loaded 16 ft trailer all the way from Los Angeles. We are going out of Oakhurst to Mariposa and we lost a wheel. Very scary. Aug 28 during the 110 day my car overheated and the engine shut down--after waiting 4 hours for the AAA tow service I gave up and called Technique. Within 20 min they were there and towed my car to my home with no excuses like AAA had--too far, (18 miles) need flatbed truck for 4-wheel drive. The dispatcher and the driver were supportive and reliable. They went out of their way to make a "no good, bad, horrible day" good again.
