The worst service I have ever in my life been referred to by AAA the tow truck got there and started Immediately yelling at people who were helping me direct traffic around my car even called one of them a joke. Then proceeded to call me a liar about me telling them my car was stuck in the middle of the road. At that point I had had enough and told him a few choice words so he lied to CHP told them he was towing it and as soon as CHP left unloaded my car because he felt unsafe to tow it because I yelled back at him. He clearly was never spanked as a child and was never taught respect. Save yourself the trouble and call JD's towing they are sooo much better. I'm filing a complaint with AAA. My daughter's car required towing from Oakhurst to Fresno for a major repair, and it was strongly advised that she not attempt to drive it. We are AAA members, and Turner's Towing is part of AAA Emergency Road Service, with a location at 48409 Victoria Ln, Oakhurst. The tow was requested at 6:15 AM on Tuesday, September 2nd. My daughter and I arrived at the repair shop in Fresno at 8:00 AM, only to discover the vehicle was not there, and had not even been picked up yet in Oakhurst. After repeated calls and follow-ups, the driver did not arrive in Oakhurst until 10:40 AM. By 12:46 PM, I personally called the repair shop again, only to be told the vehicle still had not arrived. When we contacted the towing company, we were informed it would be yet another 45 minutes to an hour before delivery. This level of delay and lack of communication is unacceptable for an emergency roadside service provider. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Turner's Towing. read more

Yesterday, February 27, I had driven to Oakhurst from Mariposa to pick up a prescription among other things. I was ready to go to visit my husband in Mariposa. He is very sick and I was anxious to get there. But all of a sudden, I realized that I didn't have my keys as I only had my wallet and cell phone with me in the store. I saw Turner's Towing truck go by & it was parked in the parking lot, so I walked that way (which was hard, because I've recently had extensive spinal surgery). I called for Brian, I believe his name was, and he came right over to me. I told him that apparently I had put my keys in my purse and then locked my door, and that I needed to get to my husband at the hospital. I really didn't have much cash or checks with me so didn't know how I could pay what the fee was for opening the car.Because of so much stress the past few months, I started crying and tears were gushing down my cheeks. I actually thought I was going faint. Brian called the office and then said they would help me anyway. I was so relieved that I cried harder. I am 82 years old, my husband 84 and I didn't want to tell him about it because he's sick. Anyway, Brian unlocked the car and I was on my way. I would recommend Turner's Towing to anyone, and thank Brian and the office staff SO much! They can't know how much I appreciate them. We cancelled Triple A several years ago after a 25 year membership because they would not tow us to Mariposa from Fresno as they said that no one would drive to Mariposa, even though we had the 200 mile towing membership. We were pulled over on Hwy 41 at the outskirts of Fresno after someone threw a large rock through the windshield as we were driving. It almost hit my husband in the face and we had glass all over us, my husband was bleeding, and a large hole was in the windshield right in the middle of the driver's side. We drove to Oakhurst and called the CHP to report the incident. The point is that we cancelled our membership immediately & will never do business with them again, but we'd gladly call Turner's Towing! I'm very grateful to the tow truck driver who problem solved a tricky situation. My hybrid car died while I was driving down the mountain, apparently the electric battery was drained while I was parked at Yosemite for a few days. It was very scary, but the driver (I forgot him name, but he has red hair) problem solved a solution that was fast, efficient, and safe. I am forever grateful, he deserves a big raise! I called AAA I was stuck on 99 they called Turner Towing the dispatcher right away started saying I was yelling at her because I was outside of my car trying to get her the information she needed to come pick me up and I told her the reason why my voice is high because I can't even hear my self because I'm a senior citizen and I have hearing problems and I told her I can't hear myself and I'm speaking loud because of traffic is loud and I gave her an illustration like when you're in a concert it's hard to speak she canceled my toe she was very rude and left me out in 100° weather had to wait an extra 2 hours due to her I try to call back to talk to the manager she would not let me talk to her manager then I try to reason with her there was no reasoning she should not be working for this company if she cannot handle stressful calls cuz this was a stressful situation worst situation I've ever had to experience with someone that was unreasonable and more concerned with my tone of voice than with my distress call in my life being in danger I was also dehydrated didn't have the water read more

My name is Anthony Zurilgen I'm writing in regards to home much love family. I've dealt with these folks over the years what's the father of this corporation business and gas station properties. In regards to my statement and they're towing business they've always given back to the community. Weatherby football baseball sports activities social gatherings Catholic Church gatherings. This family has always been and always will I believe continue to be very welcome in this community. My problem today is I have a girlfriend acquaintance great friend of mine. There we had a differences of opinion when I went to one of the businesses in town. Did I had worked at as a Young Man.only to look at the damages of the business it will be on my belief the disc could happen to anybody. That just happened to me could I had a little travel trailer retirement entering the old places that I had lived and resided over the years. I'm going to lose that travel trailer to the tow company in Madera California. I had my travel trailer parked in Love's travel and truck plaza Madera California. With no further warning my vehicle was towed. I later went there to clean the items out of the trailer and let the trailer go to lien sale. My friend my girlfriend my lover. Paid the toll bill of 600 plus dollars, getting the vehicle out I had a name inquiry of maybe working security nights 4 a bridge out in Madera California road 23. During that time in which the trailer burn to the ground by my accident and waking up to squealing tires and a Honda white and color spinning in circles coming back my way I was curious I ran out to see if he was okay. During that time I looked back and I have left the stove on with my dinner coffee breakfast cuz I was going to work that evening. It was a turtle lost I lost everything I owned in that trailer that I had put in it to retire and see some of the countryside in which I had lived in previous years. During this time I noticed that one of my friends businesses had burnt to the ground a place that I had worked as a Young Man my brother and I both work there. I was quite concerned about what they had lost in the things I had just lost they had lost them three to four months prior to my knowledge. I talked to one of the young men there and he said that we had lost everything and this is what we had was a pile of debris that he had to clean up in his business. He was there sorting through some of the debris to find one little treasure and one little piece that had made it through..... As I talked to the young gentleman there I was very humbled very send by the Lost of many many years of the family heirlooms. and further speaking to the young gentleman are a later was approached by Chowchilla PD I'm told that I was not welcome on the curb they got her the alley or the front of the business any longer I must leave. I'm talking to the gentleman there on the property property owner I believe I never heard that from him only some sad times we shared about the business. Later that day I was encountered by another officer of Chowchilla PD. And they said the owner wanted me to leave the premises. After fire I've had in my trailer and the fire that I've had where I lost everything I got a few heirlooms out of the Lost total lost of my travel trailer that I was going to go see some of these places that I had lived in the past. Later that evening to get arrested for trespassing on the property in which the owner I felt and I had something we were talking about and sharing about. The owner never said a word to me about leaving the property I was later arrested by Chowchilla PD. Only to be insulted bye and officer it which I will later this close my time in need very rude and obnoxious young man to an elderly person of my stature. Of Chowchilla California and all the years of service my family and my past generations since 1900 + 19 through 1926 my family was established here in this small farm community in which so is this gentleman that I was speaking through as a property owner. Later to have my truck towed in my girlfriend's truck scuse me towed into a tow company here and later I cannot release any of my properties out of this vehicle all she wants is the vehicle to be emptied. She will pay the tow storage bill before it goes to lean and remove the vehicle in which I'm told as an old community member hear of this city and which I love it I don't have much blood for it now that my mother of 10 children has passed in August. Of this year karma I will later speak with a gentleman again that I will new and went to school with and had a lot of contact with over the years in his community services to our community and my cousin that worked in the fire department in district with him Frank. very small and tight-knit community we have went through and my sister being on a school bus in which was later kidnapped. Amazing customer service and courteous staff. Our family had just suffered a tragic experience and Turner's Towing was their to help us pick up the pieces. They definitely went above and beyond in retrieving items from the crash site. Considering that nearly every window was shattered and the framework of our Jeep was mangled, aside from broken glass, very little remained at the scene of the accident. They also understood the seriousness of our circumstances and assured me that they would remain open until I had arrived at their location. The employee also insisted that I drive carefully and take my time. They even let me dig through the wreckage after hours to retrieve irreplaceable items. April 05, 2016 If you've ever been stranded on the side of the highway, you know that a tow truck can be a great relief, but it's quite a different story if your vehicle has been towed for any other reason. Maybe you parked illegally in a fire lane, or someone else's designated space in your friend's apartment complex - just for a few minutes - and came out later to find your car already hitched to a tow truck and being driven away. What rights, if any, do you have then? As it turns out, quite a few. Verify their Motor Carrier Permit: In California, a towing company is required to possess a current and valid DMV Motor Carrier Permit (MCP). You can verify their MCP online at dmv.ca.gov. Click here to learn more about MCP requirements in California. Authorization for the Tow: In general, you cannot be towed from a free parking lot that is open to the public, such as a mall or grocery store lot, until you have been illegally parked for at least one hour. You can, however, be towed immediately if you park in a disabled parking space without a visible disability placard in place, within fifteen feet of a fire hydrant, in a fire lane, or blocking the entrance or exit to the property. You can also be towed immediately if you park in an assigned or reserved parking space of an apartment complex or hotel. In a Residential Complex: Under California law, a tow truck driver must obtain written authorization before towing your vehicle from private property. The person authorizing this tow must be either the property owner, an employee of the property owner, a commercial tenant or the tenant's employee, or a tenant of an apartment complex with fewer than fifteen units and no on-site manager. A property owner may grant a towing company "general authorization" to remove vehicles from their property without having to physically sign and be present for every tow, but vehicles may only be towed under "general authorization" for parking in a fire lane, within fifteen feet of a fire hydrant, or blocking the entrance or exit to the property. Note:The towing company must take photographs of your parking violation before towing your vehicle and make them available to local law enforcement. You are entitled to receive a copy of these photographs as well as a copy of the written authorization for the tow upon request. Posted Notice: Private property owners must post signs at all entrances and exits to the lot clearly informing drivers that their vehicles will be towed at the vehicle owner's expense. The signs must be at least 17 inches by 22 inches in size with one inch letters. The signs must contain the name and telephone number of all towing companies the property owner has granted "general authorization" to tow vehicles from the lot and also the telephone number for local law enforcement. If You Catch the Tow in Action: If you are able to catch the tow truck driver after he or she has hitched your vehicle to the truck, but the truck is not yet on a public road, the tow truck driver is required to release your vehicle upon request. At that point, the tow truck driver is entitled to require that you pay at most half of his or her normal towing fee. Where Can Your Vehicle be Towed? Your vehicle cannot be towed to a lot more than ten miles away from where it was taken. A towing company can only take your vehicle to a storage facility more than ten miles away if they have obtained written authorization from local law enforcement. Retrieving Your Vehicle: Towing companies are required to be available to you to contact to arrange the release of your vehicle 24 hours a day and seven days a week. Additionally, if you pay all of the required fees within 24 hours of the tow, but the facility where your vehicle is stored is not open during normal business hours or fails to release your vehicle to you, you may not be charged for more than one day's storage fee. If your vehicle is released after normal business hours, the storage facility may not charge you a "gate fee" of more than half of the initial tow charge. Finally, a towing company cannot require that you pay in cash. California law requires that they be able to take all major credit card payments and, if you pay cash, must have sufficient cash on hand to make change As a victim of these violators. It is also a unconstitutional operating tow company. If Turner towing is not the company responsible for these aligations my apologies.
