I am a young woman who accidentally locked my keys, cell phone and purse in my vehicle at the Vons Fuel Station located at 40044 CA-49, Oakhurst, CA 93644. The gas attendant helped me by calling a locksmith company nearby, which was Superb Locksmith located at 35300 CA-41 STE V8, Coarsegold, CA 93614. The locksmith, whose name I believe is Joni Even, arrived, did not request a form of ID from me, unlocked my vehicle and then asked for payment, which he stated was eighteen fifty; he rendered the service before identification and payment were arranged. After the service was rendered, I told him I was unable and unwilling to pay him on the spot. I asked him to invoice me or my insurance company, State Farm, at a later time. He refused and then proceeded to berate, lecture and humiliate me in public while other civilians watched. I remained calm and respectful, but was completely stunned, horrified and taken aback by how disrespectfully, inhumanely and inappropriately he spoke to me. He seemed to accuse me of deceitfully taking advantage of him and his time to utilize his service for free, which was not true. He had me give my keys back to him, tossed them in my vehicle, relocked my vehicle and departed. I do not believe this behavior is acceptable, ethical or moral. His actions seem to suggest that his payment takes precedent over my safety, and he seems to have no reservation about putting my safety at risk. His unauthorized interference with my vehicle is retaliatory conduct and Under California Vehicle Code § 10852, interfering with a vehicle without the owner's consent can qualify as tampering. I do not recommend this company's services. Technique Towing, another local company with locksmith services, is much more professional and ethical. I have reported my experience to the Better Business Bureau, and I will be reporting it to State Farm too. read more

Yonatan is one heck of a guy. Drove all the way from Oakhurst into Yosemite (actually he drove from Orange County to yosemite!), after I lost my keyfob, 1200ft above the Valley floor while climbing. Did you know, without the keyfob... you can't do diddly squat? I was up a creek, bigtime. Thankfully, Yonatan drove up ASAP, copied a new keyfob for me, and did it all promptly and with a smile. Not only that, but his pricing was waaaaay less than the toyota dealer, and still less expensive than fresno locksmiths. So reasonable that I bought two. I literally paid about the same as I would have at the toyota dealer...for one keyfob, but I received TWO keyfobs from Yonatan for that price. Crazy. I wanted a second clicker remote for my 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross. I found a listing for this locksmith in Oakhurst, CA. I paid over $300 for a clicker remote that was not very good. Apparently there was a battery problem. I met the locksmith a second time and was told the hardware store on the main street of Mariposa, CA removed a piece of plastic that is needed to make the clicker remote work (When I had the battery replaced). I paid the locksmith an additional $80 for a new remote that lasted for a very short period of time. I had a new battery installed and the second remote is completely dead/worthless. I have to be very blunt here-I would never recommend this "superb locksmith" to anyone. I wish I could get my money back, but I doubt that will happen. Dear Yonatan-Since it appears you may have blocked me, I'll post this here: I can not make it to Oakhurst much anymore due to a medical problem. I do apologize for seeming to vent or lash out. Think about it--If you paid almost $400 for a product or service that did not last or did not work I bet you'd be upset too. Our backdoor lockset completely broke down. So we bought a new lockset, then called upon Superb Locksmith to have it installed.
