My iPad Air 1st gen battery slowly went dead after 3 years. Apple store in Fashion Valley wouldn't even quote a replacement price over the phone, said we had to come in (and get hustled). They proceeded to tell us it wasn't the battery, but likely a bad port, and they couldn't open the iPad air, they could only do a swap for a refurbished similar model... for the low price of $250 + tax! Not a happy Apple camper anymore, since I knew it was basically BS. How could he possibly know it wasn't the battery? I know the stages of a dead battery, and this was most likely exactly that APPLE STORE: YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES!!! So I started looking for local tech stores that could/would do it in a quick turn around time since we are headed on a road trip and my 7 year old would really like to have it for Minecraft on the road. Most places either said they don't replace batteries in iPad Air cuz they crack the glass, or they just couldn't do it quickly enough. Tech Experts said they could actually do it, AND get it done within a couple days... and cheap! Gotta admit, i was hoping for the best but fearing the worst, maybe they'd crack it and upsell me? My fears were put to rest. I dropped it off at 3pm, took my daughter for pizza at nearby Plaza Bonita. Two hours and $65 later we had a fully working iPad again... AWESOME!!! If you want a replacement battery for an iPad, GO HERE! Do not trust Apple, they are trained to up-sell you and then refurbish YOUR ipad to sell to somebody else. What a scam. I bought what I wanted and brought it in along with my old computer. Andrew transferred all my info and had it up and running in only a couple of hours. When I went to pick it up, Andrew spent a lot of time showing me how my new computer worked, where some backup info was kept, and really made me confident about the new system. When I got home, I found out that I could not figure out how to get into my email. I called and Andrew went through all the necessary steps to get me back on track. This place is a gem. Let me start by saying, I called another place that quoted me $250 and 1 day turnaround, which I politely declined. I came in with a cracked Iphone XR screen with black dots and markings alongside the cracks. When I came in , Andrew greeted me and ran down the pricing and what was happening with my phone. After receiving it from the repair , I unfortunately got a defective screen. My phone began touching and selecting things I wasn't touching and I was suspicious if I was being taken advantage of. When I came back in and explained , Andrew told me of a rare situation called " ghost touch " which was the issue I was having with my screen. My iPhone 7 cracked Tuesday evening at the Plaza Bonita mall. I was quoted about $110+ tax to repair at the kiosks inside the mall & decided to do some research finding something more reasonable. Found Tech Experts on Yelp, looked at the reviews & called to request a quote & if they had any availability. Jonathan answered & advised us to come on in to get started on the repair. Right off the bat, he had great customer service. I didn't mention I had LED damage and he forgot to ask over the phone, he quoted me $80 for screen repair + $10 LED repair & lifetime warranty. I was sold! He chit chatted with my husband and I while he was repairing my phone. Super cool guy! Got to even know his dog Slink (hope that's spelled right) At the end of the repair, he provided a complimentary glass screen for my phone & my husband's phone.
