I returned my car to them and they recharged my battery, but did not check their installation of the door switch or advise me to bring the car back in to check the fuse box. subsequently, I took my vehicle to the dealer and they were able to perform the drain test and install a new door window switch. The window switch purchased at Driven Autorepair was under warranty and the manager wouldn't give me a refund on the defective part. I was the part could only replaced. Advising potential customers of their policy and you have no choice other than to use their services when a part is under warranty. The manager would not take fiscal responsibility for the potential faulty part they purchased and/or the potential faulty installation they provided on my car. I lost over $800 dollars trusting the integrity of the services provided by this company. Buyer Beware!

I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience here. I previously had my vehicle inspected at…read morethis shop on December 20, and it passed inspection despite the same minor damage to the rear light being present. This crack has actually been there since October 2022 and has passed Virginia safety inspections multiple times since by a myriad of safety officers at different shops. Now I'm suddenly being told that the vehicle will not pass because of this crack, and I was quoted - nearly $500 to replace it which is way more than twice what I have found this repair can cost elsewhere. When I questioned why something that has repeatedly passed inspection is suddenly being rejected, I was told they have a new safety inspector. I understand that inspectors must follow Virginia's requirements, but that explanation raises concerns about this shops consistency. Customers should be able to expect the same inspection standards regardless of which employee happens to perform the inspection. What was especially concerning to me was the apparent lack of a consistent standard operating procedure. If one inspector repeatedly approves an existing condition and another rejects it, there should at least be a clear and consistent explanation for the difference. I have no issue repairing something that legitimately does not meet Virginia's safety requirements. My issue is the combination of inconsistent inspection practices and then immediately being quoted nearly $500 for the repair. Given the history of this light passing inspection and the amount being charged to replace it, the entire experience unfortunately felt like a money grab to me. This experience has seriously damaged my confidence in this business. I would recommend that anyone receiving a rejection here ask to be shown the exact reason for the failure and get a second opinion and outside repair quote before authorizing any work.

Reviews were solid. Once I realized how close I was to two of their locations, I made a mental note to check it out. I called, they were welcoming over the phone and not in a spazzy rush like some of the other shops I had been calling around to. They took their time over the phone!!! I made an appointment to get some estimates, showed up, told them my concerns, and they checked out a few things going on with my car. Again, very welcoming in person as well. I came to get an estimate for front and rear brakes replacements, possible oil change, state inspection. As I waited, I skimmed through two books the owner had written! They said I could have a copy, so kept one. The owner has the right idea and it shows. The waiting area was cozy and super chill equipped with coffee and snacks and TV. What took the service over the top was how well the gentleman took to physically show me what was going on with my car. He also took pictures. In the front office we examined the photos and he explained, and educated me about what was going on and what needed attention and why it was relevant. He made additional recommendations based on car mileage and manufacturer recommended maintenance. We discussed pricing and I agreed to get some of the work done. They gave me a Lyft ride home. Called me when it was done a few hours later. Scheduled a Lyft for me to return. Back at the auto shop, I paid and I was on my way. I felt really impressed because they explained things about my car I had never known about in the 5 years of owning it. I felt educated and walked away understanding things better. In all the 20 years I've maintained cars, no shop has ever explained things to me the way they did. I must admit, I felt the labor fees were a bit steep. I felt my wallet go ouch! However, I feel extremely safe in my vehicle because of everything I learned. It's not a complicated job but their prices were much better than I'd expected and they were quick and friendly. They have an "active" wheel balancer that applies actual road pressure and a computer program that reads precisely where to place the wheel weights. I was impressed to watch this technology and my car rolls like it's gliding on air. Some jerk rear ended me and damaged my rear bumper and the bumper's suspension. I was there for the wheels and I didn't expect them to address auto body work but they put my car up on a lift and aligned the panels and reattached the suspension hanger and you can hardly see that there was any damage! This is just a practical, no BS place to take your car and know that you can be confident the job was done right.
