To me it seems the job was done incorrect and negligently then tried to quote me over $1300 worth of work on the vehicle. They didn't release my vehicle until I paid the $1,000+ balance even though my car was not properly fixed. I am beyond disappointed, and may contact the BBB if my issue isn't resolved with the owner.

I called him since it was late afternoon after the local tire shops were closed. He did an excellent job and surprised me by showing me the nail I saw wasn't even the main problem, there was a second nail further into the tire that I wasn't able to easily see. He even gave me the nail as a souvenir haha. Prices are reasonable for coming to your location and being available nearly around the clock compared to the limited hours at most tire shops. I did take a little while longer than planned to come but I was at home and he was busy so it all worked out. Super nice guy and first class professional work. Hopefully I don't have any tire issues anytime soon but if so I'll call him.

The owner was very pleasant on the phone and told me to drop by and he'll take a look at it. His shop is located in the same spot as the gas station and the price was reasonable which I was very happy about. I left his shop and the low tire pressure light came back on but it was my fault for not resetting it before I left his shop. I called him and he then told me to drop by again and he was nice to look at it for the second time free of charge. I made sure to reset it the second time around and everything worked in my favor. If you're looking for a reasonably price place to get a nail out, this is the spot!

Time for a feel good great service story…read more This past Saturday I had a routine oil change at Valvoline in Alexandria. Upon leaving their facility I accepted a Lyft rider to Manassas. While cruising down I-66 the check engine light appeared on the dashboard. Upon completing the ride, I attempted to call the Alexandria Valvoline- couldn't even get a ring. Penny called, asked to speak to their manager..... nobody picked up. At this point I'm driving winding rural Virginia roads in a full blown panic. Penny then called the Fairfax location and spoke with their manager, Anna. They told me to bring the car into Fairfax ASAP. Within 15 minutes I was at the Fairfax Valvoline. Despite being the fourth car in line, Anna greeted me with the diagnostic sensor remote. After a quick read, it was the catalytic converter which trigged the check engine light. This was a first for my car. She then reset the dashboard. Upon her recommendation, I went next door to Meinecke. The manager there gave me a full blown lesson on catalytic converters and said it was quite possible the oxygen sensors 'got lazy' and gave a false read. Regardless, the current result is the probable false alarm from the dashboard and does not affect the performance of my car. If the light does reappear, the kind gentleman at Meinecke will do a more thorough analysis. Ultimately, it's great to have Penny come through in the clutch and Anna following through on a promise to take care of my car so efficiently in their shop, even though they did not initially service my car!! 5 Star Service!

I brought my car in for the 85K service which consisted of an oil change and a tire rotation…read moreaccording to the manager. He continued to look online and found a transmission flush was needed for 90K and would cost $300. I decided to only have the 85K service work completed and told him so. As was leaving the station, I asked if the work would only be the oil change and tire rotation and he said "yes". The next day, I called him and he stated he performed the transmission flush work for $300 without my consent. We discussed it and he stated he would remove it from the bill. In good faith, I paid the extra $300 but will no longer do business with Smokey's Garage again.
