I am incredibly disappointed with how this shop handles pricing and communication. I reached out on…read moreYelp asking for a quote to replace the display on my MacBook Pro 14" (Model A2442). They explicitly gave me a flat price of $499 for a display replacement. Based entirely on that number, I took the time out of my day to drive down, drop off my machine, and pay a non-refundable $30 diagnostic fee. However, once they had my laptop completely disassembled on their workbench, the price suddenly jumped by $100 to a new quote of $599. When I questioned why the price changed from their written quote, they claimed that the initial $499 price was actually only for a "B-Grade" used screen with scuffs and scratches on the outer casing. If I wanted a normal-looking, flawless screen ("A-Grade"), I had to pay the higher premium. They had my exact model number from the very first text. Withholding information about different "grades" of used parts until a customer's laptop is already taken apart in your shop is a highly deceptive business practice. Had they been transparent upfront that a standard screen replacement would cost $599, I would have opted to go to the Apple Store instead of wasting my time and money here. I paid the $30 fee just to get my laptop put back together and returned to me. Go to Apple or a more transparent shop that honors their initial quotes.

A computer Company in Clairemont had taken my computer and when I retrieved it back that same…read moremorning I contacted Vista Tech. Sue answered the phone and I told her what happened with the other Company. I spoke with her at their office and she prepared a Service Order for my Signature. She stated they would call me later with a diagnosis. Of course, Sue called within several hours and gave me the bad news that the Hard Drive had been physically damaged. The other Computer Co. was negligent and damaged my drive. They would have to send the drive to a company downtown for diagnosis of cost estimate. Sue did send the hard drive and called me back right away with the new estimate to recover my data. Sue was very professional, HONEST and timely in every way. I highly recommend this company.
