I ordered the Taro Milk Tea with Boba and the Thai Tea with Boba, both drinks came out pretty fast and my first sip wasn't until I left the shop. Unfortunately, the taro tea was very weak and lacking flavor. The Thai tea was a little better, but not quite sweet enough (there was no adjustment on sugar level). Lastly, the boba was very overcooked - mushy and with no brown sugar flavor. We came in the middle of the day, so I was a bit surprised that both drinks were subpar. Grabbed some boba while I was in the area! And I really like a lot about this shop. It's small but in a good location. They have a decent sized menu and the staff is super nice. My drink was ok, I had the Thai tea. Though I wasn't impressed with the tapioca pearls, which were overcooked, and a little short on flavor. It was probably just a one off, but I didn't have time to go back and have another drink made. I'm hoping next time will be better. read more

I have since gone back and got a new drink this time-- the Caramel Oolong Milk Tea. This drink has done a decently good job at improving my view on the place. Although the staff were still not the most friendly, the drink experience was enough to say I will probably be back for boba again in the future. I love how the walls are decorated with customer(?) drawn pictures and just a fun, comfortable atmosphere. The drinks seem to be okay overall. For $8 I got a large oolong milk tea with caramel which was decently good. I'd say if you want boba this is probably a decently good place to go! * Recommended improvements: - Please train the staff to make the atmosphere more welcoming. Although this time the staff weren't particularly displeasant, they didn't give me a feeling of being welcome. - I think perhaps a wider selection of milk tea drinks would be a good idea. This is within Chinatown of Salt Lake and they make pretty good beverages. They have milk teas, fruit teas, and cheese teas! I ended up getting the cheese tea since it's something different and they do not skimp out on the frothy cheese foam on top. Compared to some other places I've tried, you'll get a good amount! My brother recommended this place to me because he says that the Honeydew Milk Tea they make here is his favorite. While I didn't get it, I'll be sure to try it next time! read more

I've visted Tea's Memory here in Farmington a handful of times now. I was referred by a coworker, and I'm so glad I was! I have tried both the Brown Sugar Boba Tea, and the Brown Sugar Latte. I prefer the tea, but they're both incredibly delicious and sweet! The employees are quick and efficient despite there usually being a pretty decent sized line. Pricing is moderate, comparable to a drink from Starbucks. There are a few tables and chairs to sit down and sip your drink, or you can take it to go. When you walk in, they have the cutest wall full of colorful post-it notes where customers can doodle or leave a little message. Best boba shop around, and I'm so glad it's in Farmington Station! I was shopping at Station Park and I just happen to find this place and I am so glad I did! The boba smoothie was so refreshing and satisfied my craving immediately. I also loved the flavor and texture of the brown sugar boba. The lychee jelly is also very good. It was interesting to try the foam cap. It is salty and adds a great contrast to the sweet drink. I love iced fruit teas and this shop is tucked right next to the large grocery store inside Salt Lake City's "Chinatown". Before all the other large chains opened up, this was the best you could get in the area. Service is questionable, but I've never encountered any major issues. They have some seating available but I've always gotten my drinks to go, usually sipping while I grocery shop. Now that there are other options like Ding Tea, Tiger Sugar, Meet Fresh...I haven't been back in a while. I've also never tried their tapioca before, so I can't speak to its quality. read more

My favorite bubble tea place in SLC hands down! Located in the Asian market, it's a cute little store by the entrance of the market. Before I visited for the first time, I had walked past it countless times without knowing it'd be my new addiction! Compared to Kungfu Tea and Tea Bar, this place is better by far. The milk tea is homemade and not just from powder. The tapioca pearls are perfectly textured and cooked just chewy enough. It tastes like something I could get in China. My favorite drinks are the taro milk tea and matcha milk tea. I've mixed them with normal tapioca, tiny tapioca, and brown sugar tapioca. My favorite combination has been a matcha milk tea with brown sugar pearls. The presentations are adorable and I've kept the cups that they serve the drinks in. I love boba and was told my many of my friends that I had to try tea's memory inside Chinatown. I was in the area today so I decided to give it a try. They weren't very busy so the wait wasn't long at all. I ordered a cheese it green tea. I wasn't impressed with the initial sip so I left it in my cup holder on the drive home. It was bland and tasted almost bitter as if the tea had been seeping too long. When I was home, I gave it another try and noticed that it was sweeter. It must've mixed with the salty foam on the way home that gave it more flavor. The drink itself was mediocre, nothing that set it apart from other boba shops. My visit to Tea's Memory was entirely unplanned as I'd actually stopped by China Supermarket unplanned as well, but that's a review for another day! They had a sign up advertising their soft opening, and I was just going to take a quick peek, but when I saw rose cheese tea on the menu it was impossible to walk away empty handed. They also offer many other teas including additional cheese varieties, fruit, boba, and milk. You can add coconut jelly, pudding, grass jelly, or beans. There are smoothies, too, and egg puffs (I've since learned that's another name for a bubble waffle. Why didn't I order one?!), plus they have another menu board that teases "more coming soon!" And it appears that will be food. Yay! Sizes are small or large, with prices from $3-$5. They offer a punch card with a free beverage after your purchase of 9. The interior is small and sweet with wooden tables and chairs, a few couches, and decorated with silk greenery. The employees were very kind and fun. My tea was prepared in two minutes, if that, and they brought it right out to me. I opted to add coconut jelly to the rose cheese tea - yum! It was deeeeelicious, and while next time I'd order it half or even 30% sweet, that's not because it wasn't good. It was honestly perfect, I've just got to watch that sugar. Seriously, though. How amazing is cheese tea?! Only very mild complaint is that the tea was not served in a sippy cup, but instead with a lid and boba straw. It's a bit of a challenge to take a nip of both the cream and tea combined in that manner, (though I guess you could stir it up? I rather appreciate them separate) but I just moved my straw up or down depending on what component of my drink I desired. It's certainly not something that would prevent my having one in the future. Tea memory replaced the boba place that was here before. I was very hesitant to come here cause of how bad the boba was in the past. Let's just call it ptsd. Well I decided to face my fear and came here and never regretted that decision. It wasn't bad. The milk tea had such a great tea to milk ratio. You can feel how smooth and milky the drink was but you can also taste the tea. Some places have an over powering one or the other. The boba I added in it was chewy and not hard or stale. You can tell they were freshly made. The cheese cap on top just made it the best. It gave it the extra fat I didn't know was missing from my drink. Towards the end you get that sweet cream cheese surprise. Next time I might mix it around a tad bit more before I drink it. This is so I can incorporate that cheesy goodness in my drink. I also notice they sell bubble waffles and other little snacks. Definitely I will be back to try those. I've been eyeing to go to Tea's Memory since I want to go to a boba place nearby and they offer egg puffs! (鷄蛋仔) As someone who is from Hong Kong, I could not stop telling everyone to take me there. When I first got in, I noticed how clean and quaint the place looked. It was empty and quiet. It was decorated with plants on each table and each seats have a comfy cushion underneath it. A sofa was present in case anyone decides not to stay. I notice that books and fun board games are offered in the boba place. Some in Chinese and in English. As a bookworm, it was nice for me to spot books in a boba place and the place is quiet which fits the atmosphere! I'd say this is good for college students who wants to relax here or take their stress out from school. Speaking of stress, there is a PS3 offered as well! With games involved too. However, I wasn't sure if it's playable since it's just sitting on the shelf with no wires attached and the televisions was placed on the ground. While waiting for my bubble tea, I noticed that it took a little longer for them to make one since it was handmade. The egg puffs were served last so it took them a couple minutes more to be made. The drink I ordered was absolutely delicious. Maybe it's because they have a sugar and ice preference and it wasn't too sweet or bitter for me. I wish I ordered a medium instead of a small. The egg puffs was served piping hot, but it isn't as crispy as I thought it'd be. Also, the inside of the egg puff isn't half hollowed like the original egg waffle I had in Hong Kong. Needless to say, it's still delicious and a much better snack than the ones I had in Shirokuma. It doesn't require a topping and it's plain like in Hong Kong! I don't understand why I didn't see any reviews about the egg puffs. I understand the main attraction is mostly the drinks but give food a try! All in all, I think that Tea's Memory has a long way to go and I'll be coming back to support their business. In their menu, more is coming soon and I cannot wait for the business to grow! read more

It's hard to find good Boba in Utah; but someone told me about this place, so since my best friend and I was in the area we stopped. It was a little hard to find, and the parking sucks, we had to walk a bit away to get to it. But!!! The boba was bomb. The thing is it taste authentic, fresh and delicious. I am very happy with my drink, I even got one to take home because it was that good, i really enjoyed the staff and they explained everything to me, and they let me know their ingredients and how everything was prepared. Saw the sign that said 'grand opening' and forgot the name of the old place that was here in its stead. A bit unorganized and took a while to get 2 drinks, I noticed they hand shake the drinks whereas Kung Ku tea has a fancy machine. Maybe the reason for the wait. Chill Boba tea spot in the newly renovated Chinatown market building. Tea's Memory produces solid quality boba drinks. We went with the mango green tea at 25% ice and sugar. It was still pretty sweet--can't imagine what 100% sugar might be like! The space is comfortable with some pretty cool design pieces: faux terra cotta soldiers, etc. the grass and wood decor gives this place a high degree of comfort. Snack options are a little limited but the egg puffs are soft, fresh, with the perfect degree of sweetness. Mainland Chinese operated shop which makes the details of the drinks and business operation a bit more nuanced compared with their Taiwanese counterparts. Staff are friendly, professional, and efficient. Only recommendation is that the book and game selection could use some work! read more

I go to Chinatown supermarket every week, however due to the fact that I have heard mixed reviews about their drinks, I did not make up my mind to give it a try until last Sunday. We ordered a 50% sweet rose milk tea with herbal jelly and a lemon lime fruit tea with coconut jelly. Fruit was pretty decent with lots of limes and lemons. More towards the sweet side but not bad. However the rose milk tea was clearly water base. Theirs was more than obvious powder and water base. Nondairy creamer is commonly used by milk tea places but usually they mix it with real tea. However, based on the taste at tea memory, I highly doubt that they used any real tea. I'd rather get the bottled milk tea from the market next door. If you do want to try this place, do the fruit tea and try to avoid their water based milk tea. read more

Finally, a boba shop that tastes authentic. Located in Farmington Station, you have to park and then walk to the storefront. For a small shop, it was decently busy on Black Friday. The cashier was very helpful in answering what was in certain drinks. I opted to get the mango yogurt with 50% sugar. I am grateful that they're the type of boba shop to allow for customization on the ice and sugar levels. I thought my drink was fantastic and the 50% sugar level was great. I can go up to 70% as well. The yogurt was a great backdrop to the mango syrup, helping to level out each other's flavors. They have a watermelon smoothie and a strawberry yogurt drink that I would love to try next. I would highly recommend taking a visit here and trying it out. Only thing I hope they do is to add more non-tea drinks for those who aren't tea drinkers. Perhaps a brown sugar milk drink and more slushies/smoothies in the future. read more

We were in the area already, and I saw this boba spot so I decided to try it out. I just went for an original green milk tea. They ran out of the regular sized boba pearls and so I got the mini ones instead. The sizing of the drinks here threw me off. I knew I wanted a regular size, but they call it a "small" here. And the bigger size is the "medium". So when the cashier asked if I wanted a medium, I said sure. Lo and behold, it came out to almost $6! Super expensive, even by LA/SF standards. I opted for 50% sugar since that's what I'm used to these days. But their amount was more like 10%. I don't like my drinks super sugary, but some sugar is necessary! Sweetness level here is on the lower side which is good I think and they deliver their drinks not mixed so you will get some nice pictures. Absolutely the best boba I've had anywhere! Kai helped us with our order and he is so sweet and friendly. Loved chatting with him. I ordered the black tea with taro flavor and boba and then requested 30% sugar. It was perfectly made; not too sweet and good to the last drop! Kai also let me sample the cheese topping, which is like a sweet and salty cream. I'll definitely try it as a tea topping next time! Tea Memory is a fantastic addition to China Town! The Fruit Tea is super refreshing ! I added coconut jelly to it , but next time I am getting the fruit tea by itself so I can appreciate more of the tea flavors. I've also tried their almond milk tea with boba. The boba was perfectly chewy! The prices are reasonable. Service is prompt and friendly, 10000x better than the boba place that was previously here at China Town.
