However, the "raving" was well warranted here. The ice cream is super dense , both in mass, and flavor. It's nearly custard like. The flavors were all very fresh tasting , especially the raspberry. They also had a lot of unique flavors like lavender and honey (which was the other flavor I chose and LOVED IT) I can't wait to come back to try more flavors

The Better Than XXX was the only other one I could eat. It was just ok. The chocolate cookie was good and soft. The topping had no flavor. It would have been better with more than a few shavings of Heath bar. The oatmeal cookie was hard to chew. The oatmeal was grainy and weird. Not much flavor to it at all. The salted caramel cookie has so much salt. Even the people who love salted caramel didn't like this cookie. Again, not much flavor. At $4 a cookie, this is not worth it. I don't even love Crumbl, but I'd rather get an expensive chocolatey cookie there if that's what I'm craving. The rest of the time I'll stick to Twisted Sugar and Ruby Snap. As for service, it took FOREVER to prepare my 4 cookies. The kid doing it was nice and I'm glad there was a drive thru, but the waiting didn't help the whole situation (not great cookies and steep prices).

However, I have been here two times, and they are always out of something. Last time, they didn't have a sprinkle waffle bowl. This time, I wanted a normal blonde brownie hot fudge sundae. I was disappointed when they were out of blonde brownies. What shocked me was they were also out of vanilla ice cream AND whipped cream! I couldn't believe it. An ice cream shop being out of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream is like a burger shop being out of burgers. It's outrageous! The situation sounds like a bit from a comedy. Alas, it is the reality of this place: they are consistently out of something every time I visit. Because the staff was friendly and helpful, I suspect that the problem begins with management. The owners need to speak with the managers (or whoever keeps the products in stock), so they can perform inventory checks and ensure that they keep the bare basics available for customers (like vanilla ice cream and whipped cream). If this place goes under, it will be because of their inability to keep items they offer in stock. Sadly, I will not return. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." They will not get a chance to fool me thrice, not even for *thrice* cream ;)

So of course my wife and I were looking to soak our sorrows in some home-baked pie. So parking was pretty easy around the corner along the street. The pie shop is this long kitchen attached to a super cool thrift shop. That was closed since it was like 8:45pm. We decided to go with the strawberry rhubarb, key lime and apple cobbler. They're essentially little hand pies, like the size of a pop tart. So getting three seems good for two people if you like pie a lot, like we do. We also added two cups of ice cream to go. The girl helping us was nice and engaged conversation when we asked about the thrift shop. Solid service. Once we go home, we heated up the strawberry rhubarb and apple cobbler for one minute. That wasn't long enough so I'd do 1:35 next time. That would ensure the ice cream would melt a bit more. We started with the key lime pie; oh my ... it was epically delicious. This was as good as key lime pie we had in Captiva and The Keys in Florida. Then we dove into the other two. The strawberry rhubarb was 75% crust and 25% filling. I'd love to see more filling there. Compared to a grandma's strawberry rhubarb; it wasn't on par. It was a 3.75/5. Next up was the apple cobbler. A classic. It was pretty much what we expected and so was more on the 2/5 scale. We started so strong with the key lime pie that the bar was set high. Overall a good experience and the night ended on 3 empty cardboard containers filled with crust, melted vanilla ice cream and happy tears of our daughter's new journey. Don't fight it; try the Pie Fight.

If you're looking for pastries that are as stunning as they are delicious, Fillings & Emulsions…read moreabsolutely delivers. Their fruit-shaped creations are little works of art--so realistic it almost feels wrong to eat them... almost. Each pastry is fresh, light, and packed with flavor. The pistachio was incredibly tasty, though definitely on the richer side, so it's one you might want to savor slowly. The raspberry had a beautifully balanced sweetness with a vibrant, delicious filling. The lemon was very zingy--almost intensely so--but still delightful if you enjoy bold citrus flavors (just maybe not an entire one in a single sitting). The standout, though, was the mango. Easily the winner. It had such a bright, powerful flavor, and the fresh mango inside made every bite feel special. Everything about it--from taste to presentation--was just beautiful. The only slight letdown was the macarons. While still good, they didn't quite match the intensity and uniqueness of the pastries and felt a bit underwhelming in comparison. Overall, this place is a must-visit if you appreciate creative, high-quality desserts. It's clear a lot of skill and care goes into every piece. I loved the building that the pastry shop was in, as it had a "lunch room" feel to it. There are a few restaurants inside so there are options and there's plenty of seating.

The location is in a food mall, which I wasn't expecting but it was so cute inside. I wish we had more time to check out the other vendors but we'll have to come back. On a separate note, it was kind of hard to find a trash can.

The service was excellent, the food presentation was impressive, and everything came out surprisingly quickly. The Monte Cristo was really good, and the seasoned fries were fantastic. The ginger beer mocktail was also excellent--not only did it taste great, but the presentation was really cute. The French toast was good, but it didn't stand out quite as much as the other dishes. We sat outside, and it did get a little warm, but that was our choice since we were in a hurry and could get seated faster outdoors. Overall, I'm glad we tried Plated Dreams. There are a few other places we personally prefer, so it probably wouldn't be our first choice for a repeat visit, but the excellent service, beautiful presentation, and some standout dishes made it a worthwhile experience.
