The actual hours, unlike what they put on Yelp.....
    Jim P.

Unlike the posted hours on Yelp they are only open until 6pm! Arrived to the place shut down at 6:40. Bummer! Change your hours on Yelp so others don't get hosed Teaqueria! Really wanted to try the food....

Visited the Teaqueria for the first time & was not disappointed! I order the chicken taquitos & a mango mojito tea. The flautas were the perfect size order for lunch & had great flavor! Served over a generous amount of rice. The rice wasn't my favorite but it's not bad. Just a little on the dry side for me. The mango mojito tea was good but super sweet. I would ask for less sweet next time. Also, they just dropped waffles on their menu for dessert and they looked yummy! I didn't try them this time but saw some others eating them and they said they were good. The prices were pretty good, and they have a patio area that is nice to enjoy when the weather is good. They also have some indoor dining but it's a little cozy so keep that in mind. Will be going back to try some other options in the future :)

Bacon and Rice burrito, nachos al pastor, steak quesadillas ... all wonderful with or without the sauce varieties. Must return.

Great service and delicious food. Repeat. This place is a gem and family owned, and would definitely return to try all the other great food items and drinks. I love the fusion.

I stumbled across this place while trying to figure out why so many Fire Trucks came from this area. I checked the website, it said 7pm closing, Google Maps said 6pm, Yelp said 6pm and when I got there at 5.30, they were taking the outside seating away. When I checked the hours inside, it said 6pm closing so totally confusing. I ordered the Burrito with Tofu, no cheese, no Sour-Cream (Whole-Food Plant-Based). It arrived and was partially open at both ends, I have no idea why taqueria's cannot wrap a burrito properly. It immediately started dripping and when I took a bite, I saw carrots and mung beans, both of which were not on the burrito menu. The menu says: Rice, Black Beans, Pico De Gallo, Sour Cream, Monterey Jack and pick of protein. It tasted okay, nothing to rave about. They started packing up as my Burrito arrived so I literally had to eat as fast as I could. The place is more like a teen hang-out than a Cafe/Restaurant. I won't be going back - disappointed!

Wanted to try a different taqueria in the neighborhood and this fusion boba/burrito joint popped up. Hip and modern interior with dark wood picnic tables and big screen tv's so definitely cater to that neighborhood and the Bellarmine clientele. Kept it simple (no boba) and ordered just the chicken chimichanga since its been years since I have had a chimichanga and for the price ($12) the portion was great as it was nicely filled up with chicken topped with guac and fried to a golden brown. The fried goodness sat on top of black beans, pico de gallo and a quinoa type spanish rice which paired well. I had it as a take out but it was a little soggy when I got home but still ok. Not sure I would return but if I have another chimichanga craving I have this place on my list. Funny thing as I waiting for my order there only 1 other couple sitting who already received their drinks and the server who just took my order, as I moved where I was seated closer to the counter asked me if I was waiting for my food order....I guess my order was not memorable.

My friend and I came here on a Tuesday evening for dinner. My friend recommended this place because they have good vegetarian options. The name is pretty cute, so I was intrigued. Food & Drinks: I got a strawberry horchata tea. It was good but not super memorable. I'm not sure if I would order it again. For food, I ordered the nachos with black beans. They also have a different vegetarian option that is tofu, edamame and other veggies, but I wanted to keep it simple with black beans this day. I enjoyed my nachos a lot. It is made with nacho cheese sauce, which I understand may not be for everyone. However, this is what I think of when I think of nachos. My friend ordered the vegetarian chimichanga. The portion size of the chimichanga was very generous. I tried a few bites and thought it was good. Service: When we arrived, there weren't too many people around. We were able to order at the counter right away. We took a seat outside once our drinks were ready. Our food came out shortly after. TL;DR - Boba tea + taqueria = Teaqueria! I'll need to find a drink here I love, but the food is good.

Clean place with nice decor. Beef taco is what you'd expect for a taco in the Bay! Delighted to dine here

Came here on a Friday evening and wasn't sure if I found the right place or not at first. Teaqueria is located right across from Bellarmine on the corner of the street. Parking lot is tiny, about 4 parking spots, so most likely you'll have to go with street parking. They have outdoor seating with a large tent for shade, and indoor dining option as well. The decorations and menu were colorful and fun with simple interior designs. The vibe was very comfortable and chill. They have a good amount of selections on their menu and the staff were young and friendly. Our party of two decided to go for their chimichanga, nachos, and quesadillas with two of their fruity drinks, yum! Portions and price were fair and I enjoyed the food. It was a treat to enjoy their Asian and Mexican fusion. After all, we live in the Bay with a diverse population! We enjoyed eating outdoors while chatting and saw a larger group competing to see who could finish their watermelon slice faster which was fun to watch. If you're ever craving for some good fusion of Asian and Mexican food, check out Teaqueria!

Generous portions and affordable prices! What a great place to have delicious Mexican food and boba drinks. It just about sums up San Jose's staples! The chimichanga was hefty, deep fried goodness on a bed on rice and beans. It also had a good amount of salsa, guacamole, and crema. Each bite was so full of harmonious flavors. I ordered steak street tacos which were also good. Kind of heavy on the taco seasoning and oil, but not bad. I doused my food in both orange sauce and tomatillo sauce which are pretty mild. The orange sauce also tasted like it contained a lot of taco seasoning and the tomatillo sauce was my favorite out of the two. For drinks I tried the mango mojito, it was tart just how I liked it! I tried my bf's Vietnamese iced coffee which wasn't terrible, just not amazing. We felt like it could use some more condensed milk. Overall, I liked the food a lot! And all their drinks are $5 so I'm definitely going to be back to try out more.

Honestly one of the most interesting fusion places I've been to but in an incredibly good way - where else can you get REALLY good boba AND Mexican food in the same spot? There are even rare flavors you don't see in some other places, like Horchata boba tea and Tofu burritos! I'm always helped by wonderful customer service and tend to get my food fast and fresh. If you're dining in, come during times outside of lunchtime - it will get busy:) But that means people love it!

Lots of take out orders and dine in orders. I ordered 5 super tacos to share with different meats (pollo, carne asada, al pastor, carnitas and chorizo). The super tacos come with cilantro, onions, avocado, sour cream, cheese and pico de gallo. All the tacos come with homemade corn tortillas - you could tell they were fresh. The tacos are big, not small at all. The carne asada, carnitas and pollo was my favorite. Al pastor was good as well, chorizo was not that flavorful for me. However, they also have 3 types of salsas (green, red and a creamy orange) you can use to help add some more flavor if needed. I plan to come back here to try their burritos and tortas as well next time.

We ordered 2x Carne Asada Taco 7/10 2x Al Pastor 7/10 Asada Burrito Bowl 7/10 Enchiladas with Rojo Sauce 7/10 The burrito bowl was good, but for the price point you may be better off going to Chipotle, I felt that the burrito bowl was a bit soggy. The tacos were good and the tortilla they used was quite thick. The enchiladas had good flavor as well, and I would be interested in trying their enchilada with the verde sauce next time. Their prices have steadily risen over time and they have updated their menu prices as well. One thing that elevated this restaurant to 4 stars is their sauce! The red sauce and green sauce recipe is definitely unique compared to other taquerias. The red sauce bottle helps with the flavor tremendously and without it I would have rated this place lower.

Most of the food is prepared in a food truck where you line up and order. Seating is next to the sauce bar and they have first come first serve seating. Typical culture is to put the sauce directly on the tacos when you receive them. They give sauce cups if you order to go otherwise they are reluctant to give them out. Currently they are constructing a building around their seating area which is new. This implies that they are generating enough cash to turn their food truck and seating area into an actual establishment. Onto the food review! Carne Asada 7/10 Lengua 7.5/10 Carnitas 8/10 Cabeza 8.3 /10 Suadero 8.5/10 Al Pastor 8.5/10 Suadero and Pastor were top contenders with the most flavor depth. Personally I liked the cabeza as it was very soft, but the flavor can't compare to the suadero. The carne asada lacked flavor in my opinion and was the least tasty out of the meats we tried. Carnitas had that great crunch you're looking for in a taco as it is seared excellently. Lengua was flavorful and super soft just like the cabeza which indicates that they were both braised to perfection. All choices are very solid albeit be prepared for a very greasy meal. The star of the show is their avocado salsa! They offered 6 other sauces in their sauce bar but the avocado salsa was superb compared to the others. This was the only option that had me coming back to sauce bar throughout my meal. They also offered pickled carrots, jalapeños, and onions at their sauce bar to help balance the flavors. Finally the best JD big back tip is to get the large strawberry horchata! It was so good we finished ours before even taking a picture of it! The flavor profile on that beverage is superb, imagine a creamy strawberry yakult that is the perfect option to balance greasy tacos. This is a hidden gem item as their strawberry horchata is significantly better than other restaurants version of it. They also offer other flavored horchata but the strawberry remains top tier.

The marinade is perfect and the meat is tender. I've never tried their burritos, only because I can't get enough of their tacos which is crazy because I'm usually the opposite. But Tres Reyes is just that good. I love how they have a dedicated dining area that is always clean. I've never had trouble finding a seat either. The dining area has a full salsa bar with all myriad sauces. They even have picked red onions, jalapeños, and carrots. So good with tacos. Finally, the selection of aguas frescas they have is insane. They have like 8 different flavors if I'm not mistaken. My absolute favorite is the melon/cantaloupe drink. It's so sweet and refreshing. You can definitely taste the fresh melon. They serve it with pineapple, which is the way it's meant to be done and a detail that tells you they actually care about getting it right. These are easily some of the best tacos in San Jose, and I don't say that lightly given how much competition there is in the South Bay. But the drinks alone might be worth the trip. Their Horchata and Agua Fresca are genuinely among the best I've had anywhere in the Bay Area and that's a real statement in a region with no shortage of excellent options. Yay for mom and pop eats :) Well, I was introduced to this place by my best friend, but I never carried cash to go, so I never tried it until another friend of mine mentioned the Blossom Hill location and them accepting credit card payment! (Yay, but let's not get carried away). I came on a Tuesday evening with friends and saw the place packed! Thats always a good sign~ We each ordered an individual dish to eat and chat. I was intrigued by the burrito bowl and worried it may be small. Jokes on me, it was way more than enough! Don't let the size of the bowl trick you into thinking it's not enough. The avocado was nice and perfectly ripe, the crema sauce drizzle was not overwhelmingly added onto the ball, and the salsa had a nice acid and tomatoey compliment to the beans, meat, shredded lettuce, rice, and cheese! I think this place is pretty solid for the price point and quality. They also have a free for all sauce bar too which is nice! Everything is so spicy, except for the green salsa lol. Servers seemed okay. They didn't really check on us, but it feels like a service yourself kind of place. You grab your own waters, condiments, and sauce here. If you want their chunky mango salsa, you have to flag a server down! However, 1 star is knocked off for the credit card charge, which I'm not even sure what the percentage is. I didn't see a sign at the register or perhaps I didn't look hard enough. I think this should be mentioned on the door and possibly their menu (if it isn't already). Can someone confirm if the credit card charge is 3%? Even my receipt wasn't clearly mentioning the percentage--just the fact that there's a credit card processing fee.

Went here for lunch. Very open and spacious. Workers are attentive and quick…read more Place has a restroom and a full bar. Menu is fully loaded. There is a QR code (see photo) Cali-taco: it's a good size, fries are crispy. We recommend this one. Would get it again. Quesabirria: 2.5/5 - it was just ok. Wasn't as flavorful as I've had before Super burrito: 3.9/5 - it's a hefty size. Very filling. I had to eat half otherwise I'd go into full nap mode after. I'd recommend it for any burrito lover and someone who can eat a lot.
