Their service was quick, there's a few tables and bar tops to sit and enjoy your drink inside. The menu has a good selection and I appreciate that they have an icon next to drinks that are caffeine free. Their boba was fresh and chewy, but they unfortunately didn't have aloe jelly when I came in. Nonetheless they hit the spot when you crave boba

Let me start by saying that there are a lot of drinks that are really good at KFT. The Oreo Wow…read moreMilk Strike is amazing. So is the Taro Slush. Some drinks, such as the milk teas, are okay. Then there's the Dubai Chocolate Sundae I got today. It was actually the worst dessert I've had in recent memory. I complained about it, too. I told the staff that it didn't resemble the pictures in their store. It didn't appear to have any pistachio cream in it. (If it was in there, there was so little of it that you could not taste it.) And the concoction I got was basically just chocolate ice cream with everything all mixed together as a single shade of brown. I paid $12.95 for this terrible thing. I showed the staff the problem. They looked in my cup. They refused to do anything about it. I asked for more pistachio/kanafi crunch stuff and they replied that their manager wouldn't like that. I was very dissatisfied and disappointed with this, so much so that I wrote corporate. KFT has no business selling this for $12.95. If you pay a premium price for something (drinks are normally $5 to $7 here), you expect it to be decent. I feel like I was severely cheated.

I'm a fan of Mr. Wish, and this location is pretty good overall. It can get really busy here, and…read moresometimes there's only one person at the register and making the drinks. Service is courteous and the inside is clean. Milk teas: Oolong milk tea -- nice robust oolong flavor that stands up to the milkiness. Black milk tea -- always a classic, this has good flavor with a lighter black tea taste. Fruit teas: Mango tea with pulp -- refreshing fresh mango pieces paired with green tea, this is a nice caffeinated treat for summertime. I wish the tea flavor were a bit stronger, but that's likely personal preference. Passionfruit jelly fiber tea -- this series is variety dessert in a cup and pairs different jellies and toppings with fruits and tea. I usually ask for less toppings just because I find the tea tends to run out before I'm even halfway through the toppings, but I really like the pairings of aiyu, coconut jelly, and fresh passionfruit in this drink. Fruit smoothies: Strawberry sorbet smoothie -- fresh and light and made with real strawberries, this is a nice summer treat. The aloe pairs really well with it. I find 50% or 25% sweetness is sufficient since there's natural sweetness from the fruit. Mango smoothie -- delicious real mango, this is summer in a cup. Again I find a lower sweetness level to be sufficient since the ripe mangos impart much of their natural sweetness.

For some reason, every mochi ring location we visit never has any variety regardless of the time of day, so we have been trying around different mochi business. We purposely drove an hour hoping this business had more than one flavor available (which is our usual problem), and we actually went a bit later in the day. This location had all of the flavors available in, so we were stuck getting a box of the same donut. The person who served us was extremely polite. He heard us talking about our hour drive as we walked out and actually came while we were about to drive off just to thank us for coming that far for 6 mochi rings. Unfortunately I did not catch his name, but he definitely cares about his customers. Overall the mochi rings were really good! They were still fluffy so we knew they were fresh - they turn more on the chewy side when they've been left out for a while. The fruit tea was delicious as well! We will definitely be making the hour drive the next time we are looking for mochi rings! *this location also has wings, and while we didn't get any, they looked really good!*

I want whoever is reading this to drop your phone right now, leave your house in whatever you're wearing, and hit the road. Because I want this place to become so popular that it never closes down. If you've never had a mochi ring donut, it's deep fried like a regular yeast donut, but made with tapioca/rice flour, which gives them a more springy consistency and slightly different flavor. (That description doesn't feel quite right... you just have to try them to understand). The icings are also better than average donut shops because they have things like yuzu, black sesame, and taro. They also have more traditional icings like strawberry or Nutella, but super-flavorful. To add icing to all of the icing you'll already have, they serve really great bubble tea. And corn dogs that are kind of hard to describe but you should eat them. And that's a full, balanced meal, folks.

From the street it has a really cool look and the inside leans into an industrial style with a great aesthetic. It's a comfortable space with a nice vibe. We ordered a couple of cocktails: a lemon drop and a Manhattan. Strategically we decided to split a Detroit-style pizza called the Iron Pig. Good call because one square was the perfect amount for dinner. And now we have a few meals to heat up for the next few days. The drinks were excellent and the pizza was outstanding. Great flavor. Our server Ally was welcoming and friendly and top notch on service. It is the middle of winter so we weren't considering outside dining, but they have a great outdoor space near the street. Looks like a fun place to hang out. It's definitely a place we'd consider visiting again.

They don't have server tunnel vision, they work as a team and it shows! The vibes are so cool here. I mean, if you're gonna open a cafe next to a scrap yard, you have to lean in to the theming. I love the vibes, I love the appearance. The food is amazing top to bottom. First, their coffee drinks are always spot hitting, partly due to the fact that they roast their own coffee beans on site. The cocktail menu is always enticing an even though I'm not a huge drinker, I'll be working my way around this. The breakfast options are plenty and if you don't get their bacon you are missing out! The lunch sandwiches are served on a house made ciabatta style bread. Packed with fresh meats, cheeses and veggies. Every ingredient is perfectly seasoned and added delicately, not just items slapped on a roll. The Detroit pizza is what initially drew me in. While they have some options with more toppings, I'd say go for some of the more simple Detroit pies to really allow the famous crust to really shine through. My personal favorite so far is the white pie they do with roasted portobello mushrooms. I have only been for breakfast and lunch but with all the craft beer options I need to go back for dinner to sit and relax with some friends and family!
