First off, I was a big fan of the proactive communication and planning that led to my appointment. The team was so responsive and asked for pictures of what I was hoping for in my updo. Second, they were able to accommodate changes to my schedule and I was so grateful for that. Third, I was SO HAPPY with the updo I walked out with. Annie asked me questions before and throughout the process to make sure I was satisfied with each part of the process. Annie was also lovely to talk to, so it made the whole process enjoyable as well. read more

Teal Hair and Makeup Studio - This is what I asked for and exactly what I got! - Makeup Artists Near Me - Lowell, Massachusetts

if you cancel within 48 hrs you have to pay half of the amount of money and if you cancel within less you have to pay the full amount (for me it's at least 400 dollar) I haven't been to any salons with that policy or even doctor offices and when I said the policy was unreasonable very politely they told me I can't rebook my appointment very very disappointing to a mom of two special need kids who is super busy I even offered to pay a smaller fee like 25 percent of the amount and they still let me go as a customer read more

I used to love Teal. i learned so much about my hair from them. I even bought coloring from them during the covid shutdown which for me was a life saver. My hairdresser at the time even would check in with me during the pandemic. she decided to make a life change and move out of state. The salon never followed up with me or offered an appointment with another stylist. I am older maybe that is why as the place really caters to a much younger clientele Probably for the best as their price structure allows for stylist professional development (aka price hikes ) along with yearly cost of living increases making routine colors cost prohibitive for me unless I was willing to keep changing to new stylists which for me defeated the purpose of a solid stylist relationship. If you can afford it definitely visit. read more

Alexia does a great job every time I come!!! All of the staff is very nice and welcoming as well. Erin is also great!! They explain every step well and give me the results I ask for. It's very clean and cute in the establishment too. I am always offered a drink and snack and end up leaving purchasing amazing products. read more

Teal Hair and Makeup Studio - I wanted to go as close to my natural color while still keeping some dimension. - Makeup Artists Near Me - Lowell, Massachusetts

It was my first time dyeing my hair any color at all. Before and during my appointment, the team was very patient in answering my gazillion questions and concerns. My appointment was with Erin and she was very patient and professional during the entire session. I went in with a picture in mind, was also apprehensive of how it will look on me. And I must say, Erin did an amazing job!! With the haircut, the balayage. She also gave suggestions on how to maintain it as well as address the frizz issues I have been having lately. I must say the Young.again oil she recommended, does wonders to my hair! Moreover, I am always super picky when it comes to salons. This was my first appointment at Teal and I think I will continue going there for the subsequent appointments. read more

Abby is an amazing stylist! The ambiance of the salon is stunning. I was served a delicious apple cider martini today! I love my hair.

Found this salon on google maps for salons near me. I was visiting the area and wanted a quick style. My first trip in - I Came in for a quick consult, and had my appt the following day. The ladies here are all fabulous!!! I wish there was better signage outside- something to say hey turn here my First time in I passed it. But once I arrive the parking is ample- easy in and out. The Salon was super cute and clean. Everyone was friendly- welcoming. They always offer a cold beverage. They even had these adorable gift bags just a little thank you. This alone made my day. So thoughtful- and just that little extra thing that makes them above and beyond other places. My actual visits: 2nd and third time here I came for a wash and style- saw NIKKI- she was awesome. Super friendly easy to talk to. Loved my style. She just gives the best head massages after/while shampooing.... I wish they were longer lol I spent just at an hour here both visits. Got my hair washed- blown out- and flat ironed. Paid $52.00 * I have extremely long curly hair so it may cost more due to length- that's why I had the consult. ***** PLEASE BRING CASH TO TIP. I wish they had told me this at my consult. But you can't tip on your card. They do such a nice job, and deserve their tips!!! read more

I had a 10/10 experience with Erin and the team at TEAL for my wedding hair & makeup! I have very thin hair, so I was really nervous about choosing a style that would work well without splurging on extensions. Erin helped me decide on a beautiful low updo and put me at ease after a successful trial. She checked in with me about a week before the wedding to ask if I had any changes I wanted to make from the trial to the wedding, and she was so accommodating of a few tweaks I had in mind. Coming the morning of the wedding, Erin and her team were so calm, collected, and organized while doing hair and makeup for myself, my 6 bridesmaids, my mom, and my mother-in-law. Everyone looked GORGEOUS and you could tell they felt gorgeous too, which is the best :) I was just so impressed with how kind and easy the team at TEAL was to work with from start to finish. read more

Beautiful salon with extremely talented staff! You truly feel pampered from the moment you walk in!

I had my first experience at TEAL yesterday and I'm blown away!! The salon is gorgeous, my stylist was very talented, and the experience was top notch! First, the salon has such a great vibe. It's clean, bright and modern. It felt like a luxurious place. Before diving into my treatments, my stylist (Julia) asked so many questions to make sure she understood exactly what I was looking for. She completely nailed my vision! Also, my hair is so healthy and beautiful. She even gave me tips for maintaining my hair and suggested a few products without being pushy. Lastly, I was treated like a queen! I was asked multiple times if I needed anything. I was offered water, tea or wine! When I was at the sink, I was offered a hot towel around my neck! These seemingly little things added to the overall experience. I'm so glad I tried TEAL, and I'm already excited for my next treatment! read more

I absolutely love my hair dresser/stylist Kristen! I'm always amazed & excited about my hair after each appointment! She is very talented, friendly & knowledgeable! Kristen has repaired my hair & confidence, I am constantly getting compliments on my foils. She is without a doubt a master of her trade & an excellent listener. I've been seeing her for years & I will never again go anywhere else! If you've never been to Teal, it's time to start! Ask for Kristen & thank me later!! read more

Before even coming to Teal, I called and explained my hair situation. I am Type A Hard Core Ridiculous about the happenings of my hair. After some words about the stylists available at the time I needed (I was trying to get in within 3-4 days) and their ability to work with Asian hair types, I was referred to Jessica. With apprehension, I took the appointment. Teal is located close to Drum Hill, but not quite. Not being "from" the area, The salon is in a plaza next to an industrial-looking set of buildings. Said salon shares its lot with a few other local businesses, but there are a few spots in front designated specifically for Teal clients. I found this to be a very unique touch indicative of the salon (touché). The waiting area is nice. There are complementary drinks, via Keurig (I have one at home so I wasn't too crazy about it, but it's a nice touch) and fruit infused water, and random snacks/candies. There are also a number of magazines you can thumb through while you wait for your stylist. Jessica walked and motioned me over to her chair. There, we spent some time going over her experience working with Asian hair (Granted, Lowell has a hell of a lot of Asian people) and what I expected out of our session together that day. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and we went from there. She ended up giving me the same look I came in with, but at a shorter length- AND I LOVED IT. (I know what looks good on me and I kinda stick with it. I'm a creature of habit, what can I say?) Walking out of the salon, I felt like a done up shih tzu, but once the bended ends relaxed, I looked so much more "me." I will mention that I'm chatty and I'm used to stylists who chit chat back. I would say that 60% of the time, Jessica was quiet... and I kinda had to prod her to make conversation. After a while, I just gave up and shut up. Maybe she was trying to gauge me as a new client? Not sure. read more

Yesterday was my first time at TEAL with Lydia for a women's cut. The studio was half full and leaves 30 mins before and after each appointment to sanitize the stations. They also sanitize the hair washing station right after every use. If any good comes from COVID, this is one of them... Lydia took the time to cut my hair (and then trim again so it fit my needs), blowdry, style, and gave me a wonderful scalp and neck massage. The whole experience was wonderfully pleasant and relaxing. Would definitely come again! Thank you Lydia! read more

Not sure why I've waited this long to write a review for Teal... Better late than never! I've been going to Jessica for about a year now and I've loved every single appointment. We've done partial balayages, deep conditioning/shine treatments, all over color and, most recently, chopped off 8 inches of my hair to donate! I still remember my first appointment (partial balayage) when Jess sat with me to talk me through the processes, what my expectations were and even potential costs! This really stood out to me because it showcases that the stylists and staff at Teal really care about their clients. Appointments are always a breeze as they offer online booking for most appointments (except color since those appts require more of a consult to determine the amount of time needed). They even keep a card on file to pay with so I've never had to pull out my wallet (except for tips, of course). Aside from the logistics, the space is gorgeous and welcoming. I'm always offered coffee or water and it really makes me feel at home. All the stylists and staff are clearly highly competent and trustworthy. If you don't believe me, I encourage you to check out their Instagram accounts. I have been driving about an hour and a half just to have my hair done here, and will continue to do so. Jessica Devine and Teal Hair and Makeup Salon- I adore you. Please continue being awesome in every way possible! read more

First time customer and possibly will become a regular. The salon décor is beautiful and they work with an excellent hair product line. Beatrice did a wonderful job at cutting my hair and giving me a partial foil. The process did take a long time (4hrs) so don't go if you are in a rush. The salon is in a small street, off the beaten path but definitely worth the trip. Ensure to call about the parking situation before heading there because the ladies did had a conversation about their cars getting tickets and what not. Very happy with my end result and even happier that it only cost me $150.00. Would be coming back for sure and I recommend it to everyone. read more

I love this place! Everyone is so nice and attentive. Julia is the sweetest person ever she always takes her time to understand what kind of cut and color I want. Even if there's a couple strands I think are off or the color is too light, she takes the time to fix it. Just got another balayage and cut by her and I couldn't be happier! Nani at the front desk is always so helpful with appointments and things like that! You won't be disappointed read more

I received a blowout from Beatrice. She was gentle with my hair and gave a great scalp massage. The interior is very cute and has high end products like Kevin Murphy. They do cuts and colors here too. I loved my blowout here and it was $35. I would come here again if I lived here. ***cash tip only*** read more

Loved everything about the salon from the beautiful environment to the great customer service touches. They have a great array of services that I'll be sure to try and Julia is absolutely amazing. I'm new to the area and am so lucky to have found such a great fit right off the bat!! Highly recommend read more

I always make an appointment with Julia! She's awesome and does a great job with my hair

Christina did a great job on my hair. I have really dry damaged hair from bleaching it on my own in the past and she gave me a lot of great tips on how to get it healthy again. She did an amazing job on my partial highlight. It looks so natural! I also got a trim and my hair feels healthier already. I also love the way the salon is decorated. It feels very upscale. The prices are very reasonable and she gave me $20 off since it was my first visit. I've already booked my next appointment with her and I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone looking for a hair stylist that is great at cut, color, extensions and more! read more

Teal hair and makeup salon is amazing! I am 58 and have fine, thinning hair. I started seeing Cristina 2 years ago and now I am happy with the way my hair looks and feels! She is extremely knowledgeable , professional and friendly. The Kevin Murphy products are the absolute best! The salon is conveniently located, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and has a friendly atmosphere. If you are looking for a change or are new to the area Teal is the way to go! read more

Christina is hands down the best stylist to go for when in need for a big change. Every time I've made a major hair change, Christina is the one to do it. Her expertise and guidance make her the only person I'll trust in talking me in (or out of!) a new style. I've gone brunette, to blond, to red with Christina.... and it's been 100% perfect every time. Can't beat the best!!!! read more

I have been seeing Jessica here for a few years now and I will not go anywhere else! I have thick, curly hair and Jessica always knows how to cut it perfectly and make it more manageable for me. Besides hair cuts, I have also seen Jessica for color (balayage) and eyebrow/lip waxing. She always does a fantastic job! Every time I leave the salon I feel beautiful and pampered, which is why I always go back. Teal also does bridal services. I used them for my wedding in October 2016 and Kristen and Sukky made my girls and I look absolutely gorgeous for my big day. I cannot wait for my next appointment and I would highly recommend this salon for anyone who is looking for a new place to try! read more

I've been on the search for a hair salon since i moved back to the area and I finally found it! My hair is my security blanket and I am very particular about it, and I've had a hard time finding a stylist who would listen to my requests and follow through with an end result that I love. I met Sukky and she was so nice and also very attentive when I was explaining to her the style I wanted and the result was, I love my hair! Another bonus was I felt like a valued customer and pampered (they have massage chairs at the hair wash station!!!) I highly reccommend TEAL! P.s. the prices are very reasonable too so that's another bonus! read more

Wow. Where even to begin? Okay, so I'm not the best wedding planner... I called Lypor around the 8th or 10th of October, and I was getting married in less than a week on the 14th. It was a little last minute, but I had her in mind after seeing samples from her website and style. I thought she'd be perfect... and she was absolutely! She did amazing work on my maid of honor, bridesmaids and me. She gave careful attention to detail in having the hairstyles complement each other. My bridesmaid and I both had our make-up done, and we're the types who never wore make-up - but we loved it! She's understands how to get the look we were going for just by asking us our preferences and styles. And since we all have different personalities, her total confidence and control was just what we needed that morning before the wedding. Honestly, if you're getting married, and considering booking her, you definitely want Lypor on your team! She's obviously very talented and has a passion for what she does. She has a terrific personality and she is prepared, professional and accommodating. I can't think of a single complaint, she really did exceed my expectations. 5 stars. Thank you again so much Lypor! read more

I haven't got my hair done in over 9 months and once I realized that I was slowly letting my greys take over I finally decided to stop being lazy and do something about it! After doing some research and reading reviews over and over on different hair salons in the Lowell area I decided to give Teal a shot since it was close to home. At first they were booked until April but luckily someone had cancelled last minute and I was able to get in there! I was greeted by the owner, Christina who was very nice and sweet. Unlike most places who are quick to jump into your wallet, she took the time to work with me based on exactly what I wanted. She gave me a root touch up, a partial balayage, a trim, and an awesome blow out. She did an AMAZING job and I'll definitely be going back for a touch up in a few weeks! read more

Jessica is AMAZING! She's been doing my hair for over a year now. Everything from highlights to balayage to ombre to purple highlights! Every time I go, my hair is gorgeous. I get so many compliments. Teal is a beautiful and CLEAN salon. The staff is wonderful and caring. They always offer a drink, snacks, magazines, etc. You feel right at home with the best service. Their hair wash chairs are massage chairs! Hello pampering!!! I love it here. I would honestly follow these ladies anywhere!! And all of their products are ORGANIC and CRUELTY FREE - super bonus because that is so hard to find. How many places can you get a gorgeous look and still save the animals?! read more

Sooo amazing! I had bern box coloring my hair for a while now and needed some serious help! Christina was the stylist that did my hair. We fixed my box color disaster and put in some caramel colored highlights. I also got a cut too. I have never loved a cut and color this much. Its easy to do ( I work crazy hours and im a mom) so I love that! Best feeling in the world was I went to work the next day and everyone who saw me stopped dead in their tracks to compliment me. Saying how beautiful I look and how amazing my new style was. I cant wait to go back in a few weeks to see her she was amazing and so personable too. Took her time to get to know what my needs were :) read more

I have been going to Lydia for about 3 years now. She does such an amazing job every time. She makes you feel confident and informed about the choices you want in both a haircut and hair color. My hair has never been damaged by her work if anything, she has definitely helped with my hair health! I can't stress enough how immaculate her work is! I constantly get compliments on my color! And!!! She always styles my hair beautifully after each visit!! I will continue to go to her as long as I have hair :) read more

You have to book an 'appointment ' online and then when you get there it's not even an appointment all you do is talk about the hair color you want which is totally fine if they would have let you know that it's not actually a hair appointment and another thing is pricing you have to pay more in total if the stylist has worked at the salon longer which is absolutely stupid and the environment of the salon was extremely uncomfortable read more

If you're looking for a killer makeup and hair team for your wedding day, look no further! I had a terrible experience with a different vendor and rushed to find a new one 2 months before my big day. She was able to replicate my hair from a picture, and did a great job with my makeup. I felt so relaxed and the stress of not having a great stylist slid off my shoulders during that appointment. I couldn't wait to work with her for our big day! On the day of, despite an early start, Lydia was prompt and ready to rock! They have great products that definitely do what they're supposed to. The studio is amazing! Its very stylish and pretty. They have great massage chairs for when your hair is getting washed. Who doesn't love that? In addition to that they have a Keurig coffee maker and great snacks. They even offer you wine if you want some (21 and over of course).
